Meanwhile, Rosalie and Justin went to great lengths to find out where the master craftsman lived.
Justin had to make use of hiswork. It was through his friend's introduction that they made it here.
People in the industry called him Master Landon.
Master Landon's eyes lit up upon seeing the baby in Rosalie's arms. "What an adorable baby! Are you two husband and wife?"novelbin
It was common for people to mistake them as a married couple whenever they went out with the baby in tow.
Rosalie smiled awkwardly. "He's a friend."
Justin shot him an awkward yet polite smile, "Yes, we're friends."
"Oh, I see." Master Landon didn't ask further. "I heard that you're here to check out my pieces."
"Yes, Master Landon," Justin said. "We've heard much about you and came here to admire your pieces."
Meeting Master Landon wasn't something possible for anyone. Justin and Rosalie only managed to because they were introduced by someone who knew Master Landon personally.
"I'm happy to see youngsters appreciating my work. Let me take you to my collection."
Rosalie and Justin followed Master Landon to his collection and listened attentively to him as he explained his various pieces.
As a master craftsman, Master Landon crafted many artistic pieces, each one of them exquisite and highly sought after by members of upper-class society. They often had to queue up to get him to custom-make a piece for them.
It was clear to see that Master Landon loved every piece he crafted. He also had an exceptional memory, able to explain in detail every piece and when he designed each one of them.
"Master Landon, you're truly impressive. You can remember every single piece you crafted. I'm thoroughly impressed," Rosalie complimented him. "Every piece is like my child, so of course I can remember them. Each one of them is my blood, sweat, and tears," he said proudly.
"Master Landon, I have here a piece that you crafted many years ago. Can you help me take a look at it?"
"My piece? Sure, let me take a look."
Rosalie pulled out the bracelet from her bag and handed it to him.
Master Landon picked up the bracelet and looked at it carefully. Shock registered on his face, but it quickly dissolved into a chuckle at the next moment. "It looks quite familiar and it's indeed something I crafted, probably many years ago."
"Master Landon, do you remember how many years ago that was?"
"Probably over 20 years ago. It's been so long, I can't really recall. But this is indeed a piece I crafted."
Rosalie instinctively glanced at Justin. They had a feeling that Master Landon was hiding something.
"Master Landon, do you remember who got you to make this bracelet?" she asked.
Master Landon looked doubtfully at Rosalie. "The bracelet is with you right now. Didn't you inherit it? Don't you know who had it made?"
"Master Landon, I'm an orphan.
When my parents abandoned me, this bracelet was the only thing they left on me. I want to find them. Can you tryrecalling who it was who asked you to make this bracelet?"
"I see," Master Landon said as he surveyed Rosalie from head to toe.
He then took a closer look at the bracelet.
"Let me find the drawing for this. It's been over 20 years, after all. I can't really remember what that customer looked like."
"Do you keep information about your customers?" Justin asked.
"I don't store customer information here. To protect their privacy, I commit their information to memoryd have returning customer's whom thaturally am more familiar with. As for customers who only come to me once, I forget about them as time goes by," Master Landon replied. Content Belongs to
"Please help us recall the one who asked you to make this bracelet," Justin pleaded. "This is very important to us."
Master Landon nodded. "Sure. Let me find the drawing for this and see if I can find the customer's name."
