Chapter 471

Upon hearing Horace's words, Terrence's hands quivered, and he looked furious. "What about you? Do you even care about me? Do you think you're like a father to me?

"What is it that they say? 'Like father, like son'? I'm just following your example, so you're not in a position to lecture me."

Horace was infuriated, barely holding his urge to curse up a storm.

Without hesitation, Terrence added, "Don't yell at me. If you keep it up, I'll just hang up."

Horace clenched his teeth in frustration. Dammit, Terrence was unbelievable! How could Terrence stop Horace from saying his piece?

Horace clenched his jaw and swallowed his anger, but he was fuming inside. "Who do you think you are compared to me? You're just a doctor, and the most you can aspire to be is a hospital director. I'm a general in the military, commanding an army."

With an annoyed smirk, Terrence rolled his eyes upon hearing the same old line. "If you're still not getting to the point, I'm hanging up."noveldrama

Horace sighed and calmed down. He coldly said, "You should check on Isaac. He got hurt and had a serious head injury. I tried calling him, but it wouldn't go through. Maybe he was just sulking.

"As a dad, can't you step up and do your part?"

Upon hearing that Isaac was hurt, Terrence's expression changed slightly, but he soon realized it wasn't that bad. Otherwise, Horace wouldn't be so calm.

After a moment of silence, Terrence remarked, "You should know why I didn't join the military. I don't want to follow in your footsteps."

Upon hearing that, Horace showed agony in his expression. "Your choice might be the right one. Mine is a path of no return. But who the hell am I doing this for if not you? Otherwise, you wouldn't have made it past three years old.

"Anyone in the country can criticize me, but you're the one person who can't say a thing about it. You hear me? You don't have that right."

Terrence didn't respond. He and Horace were silent on the call. After taking a deep breath, Horace recomposed himself before continuing.

"When you left, I ended up being both dad and grandpa. A few years from now, I might not be around anymore. By that time, you and Isaac will just fall apart without anyone to smooth things over.

"Are you planning to sever your father-son relationship by not contacting him? Just give him a call. Anyway, I'm hanging up. You figure it out."

Horace sounded so close to pleading, and he even felt embarrassed saying them. So, he hurriedly hung

up.

Leaning against the wall in

resignation, Terrence stayed quiet for a moment, then dialed Isaac's number But after a long wait, no one picked up. He tried calling three times in a row but still got nothing.

After thinking it over, Terrence called the butler. "Get Isaac on the phone, Ashton."

Ashton Nieves wasn't as old as he seemed. Even though he was in his 40s, he dressed like he was in his 60s.

He spoke slowly like an old man. "Isaac went out to see his girlfriend. It looks like he won't be back anytime soon.

Terrence twitched his mouth. "What girlfriend are you talking about? It's just a random fling!

"He's got a head injury, and he still can't control himself. Sooner or later, he's going to end up in hot water with women. When he's back make sure he calls me."

After he was finished, Terrence ended the call.

Matthew came to Savvy Savers Market at Denketh in Lambda City. Campbell Clinic had all sorts of catchy ads stuck on the door about Sebastian Campbell.

"Troubled by a cold wife? Call Sebastian!"

"Troubled by a mad wife? Call Sebastian!"

"Troubled by a distant wife? Call Sebastian!"

Spotting the ads, Matthew frowned. "Does Thermodra Sect offer psychological help? I didn't know that."

Renae glanced at Matthew and shook her head. "You seriously don't get what it means?"

Matthew crossed his arms. "I'm not sure I understand. It feels like it's about mental health, but also like a service that teaches men how to handle their wives."

A mischievous glint flashed in

Renae's eyes. She raised an

eyebrow and said, "How old are you

this year? Do you really have

relevant experience before? Are you

stilla virgin?"
