Chapter 548 Upon hearing that
Cherise had needles, Truman and the other groomsmen gulped and took a few steps back, nodding frequently. "Ah, this is quite good. Wishing you a happy marriage, a hundred years of harmony, and a lifetime together! Here, take the red envelopes!" Everything was so unexpected, but the bride and groom seemed quite delighted and affectionate towards each other.
"Cherise, it's been a long time since we last saw each other. I've missed you so much. You look stunning today!" Morris looked at Cherise with tenderness in his eyes.
Cherise lowered her head and smiled shyly, "This is just the
wedding dress for the welcoming ceremony. I haven't changed into my wedding gown yet."
"You're beautiful anyway!" Before Cherise could finish, Morris quickly added.
After speaking, the two exchanged glances and laughed.
Dora,
standing behind them, suggested, "How about we go through the motions? You two could give each other a
peck on the hand or something to liven things up and make everyone happy."
"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" The proposal was met with cheers from everyone.
Morris didn't disappoint the crowd. He lowered his head, raised Cherise's hand in front of everyone, and placed a kiss on her hand. Afterward, he said, "Let's go pay respects to your elders. Today might be tiring. Let me know if you want to rest." Cherise nodded, and the two, with their fingers interlocked, walked downstairs happily, accompanied by the groomsmen and bridesmaids, to the hall where Carson and the others had been sitting earlier.
In the hall, Cherise served tea to all the elders one by one. Afterward, she and Morris were about to head to the hotel for the wedding banquet.
The wedding ceremony would be held at Mondial Regalia at noon, in front of numerous friends and relatives from both sides.
On the shore, Dennis and Bella were reluctant to let go of Cherise's hand. "Ms. Leach, although
you've been legally married for a few months, this wedding changes everything. I hope you two
can live happily and harmoniously. Then I'll be at ease.
"Morris, Ms. Leach has grown up under our care. She's like a precious gem to us. We hope you'll treat her well in the future. Then we, far away in Yasvissa, can rest easy."
Morris nodded firmly, looking at Cherise, whose eyes were already a bit red, and promised that he would treat her with a hundred percent sincerity, assuring Dennis and Bella that they could trust him.
An hour later, at Mondial Regalia. Unlike the roadside, there were no onlookers here. Only those who had received wedding invitations from the Chivers family or the bride and groom were allowed to attend.
Since the Chivers family was hosting the wedding, almost no one dared to be late. All the guests arrived neatly half an hour before the ceremony began.
Arthur and Tristan were there, which was extremely rare in Clusia. It took a great deal of influence and status to have them attend an event. However, the bride and groom were truly a match made in heaven, and they had the status and influence. Morris, needless to say, was a Chivers, the son of Arthur's sister, and the head of Chivers Group, the richest man in Clusia, whose economic contributions to Clusia were immeasurable.
With just this public identity, it was worth Arthur and Tristan attending his wedding. Not to mention that he was also the founder of the Dark Web Division in private. Cherise, as everyone knew, had not only the backing of Dorian but also the identities of
being the heiress of the Muller family and the Leach family. She was a professor at Betrico University, having led teams to bring glory to Clusia on multiple occasions. She was a well-
known entrepreneur, pianist, designer and so on. With so many identities and countless invisible assets, no one dared to question her.
At the moment, Morris, along with Phoebe and a few groomsmen, were preparing to welcome guests outside the hall.
Cherise, on the other hand, was in the dressing room, changing into her wedding gown and doing the final touch-
ups for the ceremony.
Inside the venue, with Arthur and Tristan present, no one dared to move around or make a noise. They only whispered among themselves in their seats.
"This wedding of Morris and Cherise is truly magnificent. If I could brag about it for the rest of my life, I would. Who are all these people here? I'm intimidated! But the security at this wedding is top- notch. No one would dare cause trouble."
"Yeah, but I've never seen such a well-
matched couple, in terms of appearance, talent, assets, and background. It's a strong union."
"You don't know the half of it. Mrs. Chivers was giving out red envelopes on the street, and each passerby got this much. How extravagant! It shows how much the Chivers family values Cherise as their future matriarch." "What's the big deal? Don't you know where Cherise is getting married from? Haven't you seen the videos circulating online?
"She's getting married from the island in the lake. Everyone knows that place is
forbidden territory, the private domain of the founding hero, Mr. Dorian Finch. I heard it was given to Cherise as a dowry. It's priceless, a symbol of status and identity!"noveldrama
"Impressive!"
Arthur and Tristan sat at a table by themselves. No one dared to approach them or offer a toast. They clinked their glasses together, and Tristan said, "Just a sip will do. Today is your family's joyous occasion. You might soon be a great- uncle. Congratulations."
