Ron tested out if his unarmed combat talent was also upgraded yet the results were disappointing, ('I suppose I can’t be too greedy') Ron shook his head the bloodline had come with a nice surprise and he still wanted more. Although if one thought about it it did come with more, Ron remembered that he still hadn’t tested out his magic power. ('Now how do I use it?') Ron had no clue how to use his magic, this was unexplored territory.
Ron tried to think about how to use his magic, it was such a foreign concept and he didn’t even know how to use it. Thinking back the lavender flame was emitting some mysterious force, maybe it was something like his kindling state. Entering the sea of consciousness Ron walked to the flame to try and interact with it, Ron felt the power in the flame and tried to draw it out into himself. He felt a warm current through his body and was immersed in the feeling.
After a bit the feeling went away and Ron was left standing there with the flame, the only difference was that the power seemed to be gone. ('Does it need to recharge? Or was it only to get a feel for it?') Ron only had one way to find out and that was to return back. Once back in his own body Ron tried to emulate the feeling he felt, he closed his eyes and focused on the feeling. Soon the warm current was there again however this time it was much more faint than the previous time.
Opening his eyes he saw a slight shimmer across his body before it quickly disappeared, Ron felt a little lethargic afterwards. ('So it's like a muscle i’ve never used and need to train') Ron concluded about magic, it would need training that much was clear. Ron tried to get the feeling again yet nothing came, it looks like it also needed time to recharge.
Correcting himself with the location of the town Ron walked back, he thought about what task to do and quickly settled on another task he had seen before. Exterminating the scorpion nest, it would be a test to see how strong he had become with the Belmont bloodline and his new whip. However that would only work if the task was still there.
Walking back to the town Ron slowly started speeding up, it was almost an unconscious thing as his body demanded he should and could go faster. Feeling the power coursing through his body Ron was soon running and felt like he could keep that up easily, it was an intoxicating feeling of being superhuman. ('How far have I already gotten?') Ron was immensely pleased with his growth so far, only a little over 3 weeks and Ron was already doing things he had dreamed of doing since reading and watching all those stories.
('I can’t get complacent though') Ron reminded himself that he was still nowhere near strong enough as the likes of Scarlett and the town lord could still flatten him easily. There was another worry in Ron’s mind, other wishmasters. He didn’t know how he compared to the other wishmasters, the man with the Dagger of Time was at base slightly better than Ron but with the kindling stage Ron managed to suppress him instead.
After running for about an hour Ron managed to get back to the town, when he arrived at the entrance the guards were surprised he arrived so quickly back from the dungeon. They told him on average it would take a week to traverse the dungeon’s first level due to the mazes, not learning about the dungeon beforehand was not the optimal plan and something Ron was hoping to change in the future.
While walking to the adventurer's guild Ron passed by the enchantresses house only to see a note on the door that read that she was out for a few days and would not return, Ron guessed his talk with her is what led to that. Unbeknownst to Ron it was indeed the case as the enchantress was doing tasks for merit points.
Entering the guild once more Ron saw the enchantress standing at the counter talking to the receptionist behind it. She was dressed in a long blue skirt with dark green top that exposed her shoulders and the sleeves went past her hands, to go along with it she wore a lot of jewellery.
Walking to the board Ron went to check if the scorpion task was still available and he was in luck as it was still on the board, additionally there was another task for scorpion venom glands, the task likely came from the alchemist. Confirming his goals Ron turned around wanting to exit the guild when he came face to face with the enchantress.
"Uh, hi?" Ron felt a little being stared at by the enchantress as if she was trying to figure out if he was real.
"Didn’t you go to the dungeon? How are you out already?" The enchantress was confused, it was common knowledge that one would have to spend about a week in the dungeon for the first time.

"Ah, I had some help in that department" Ron didn’t tell her exactly how he did it or his wishmaster status, he debated selling the map but ended up not selling the map here. If he could sell it to wishmasters he could maybe sell it for wish points.
"Some help huh? So you’re back here for more merit points?" The enchantress didn’t completely buy his answer but took his hint and moved on.
"Yep, going to hit up the scorpions nest for an extermination" Ron told the enchantress his plans he didn’t think she would tell everyone what his plans were.
"You’re going alone? Are you crazy!" The enchantress was thinking Ron was suicidal for going there alone to destroy them all.
"I’ve become a whole lot stronger" Ron just vaguely told her that he was confident in his strength. The enchantress fell silent at his statement, looking down at her own feet she seemed to be in contemplation before she came to decision and faced Ron once more.
"Can I come with you?" The enchantress asked. "I will not take credit for anything, you can trust me on that" She explained further not wanting to create suspicion.
"Why do you want to come with me?" Ron was a little confused, she just wanted to sightsee?
"You say you’re confident but I want to see it with my own eyes" The enchantress made her stance clear. Ron didn’t have Scarlett with him to know if she had ulterior motives but somewhere in his gut it told him she didn’t.
"Fine, as long as you don’t claim credit like you said you’re free to watch" Ron decided to trust the enchantress for now.
"Thank you! My name is Sabrina Woods, just call me Sabrina" The enchantress revealed her name.
"My name is Ron, nice to formally meet you" Ron replied telling her his own name. Together they walked out to the gate closest to the scorpion nest, from what Ron had been told Scarlett was going to exit the dungeon in around 5 days meaning she was still stuck in the maze somewhere. He tried to imagine what Scarlett would do in this case and came to the answer real quick; she would be mad.
Meanwhile in the dungeon, Scarlett was indeed not having the time of her life. "DAMMIT HOW LONG IS THIS MAZE" She yelled at the top of her lungs, puzzle solving skills were not her forté. It would take another day for her to find the stairs to the next part and all her frustrations were taken out at those poor stone guardians. Scarlett was finally relieved that there were no more mazes yet that relief slowly turned into horror as the next part was another maze.
Back to Ron as he was walking with Sabrina through the desert, he told her about his wishmaster status once they were outside the town. She was a little surprised and yet it also made sense, she knew about wishmasters from her grandfather and the power they held. She also wore a necklace that was made by her grandfather to protect her from wishes once she was outside of the town's safe space.
Ron wasn’t the only one talking however, Sabrina told Ron about how she was able to use magic, something Ron had been recently learning. Sabrina told Ron there were many forms of magic and that one would need to experiment with that they were comfortable with. For her she was more comfortable with magic circles and using them to cast spells and do enchantments.
She also talked about wanting to exit her safe space since Ron’s talk with her even doing some tasks outside the town. She was hoping to one day step out of her grandfather's shadow and to be proud of who she was. Ron felt it was a nice goal to have to eventually be proud of oneself, he himself would be proud once he explored the whole tower.
Walking to the scorpion nest would take another day, during this time Ron experimented with his magic a little. According to Sabrina the optimal way to train magic was simply by using it a lot, in a sense it was just practice makes perfect. Same with the amount of magic one had, sure there were plenty of items and consumables to increase the magic however those were rare and dangerous. If one increased magic haphazardly they could destroy their own body, one cannot hold more than their body allows.
Ron was currently in a type of filling stage, repeated usage of his magic would make his body more attuned with it and be able to hold more magic. While walking Ron was continually emitting his magic through his index finger, once he could do that for an hour straight Ron would do two fingers. This way he was training his maximum supply and control, once he would be able to emit it from his full body for an hour he could move up to more advanced training. Sadly no grand cross until he managed to get to more advanced training, Ron also had to learn how to do the other spells without their respective items.
"So how are you actually going to kill those scorpions?" Sabrina asked Ron, she thought he was going to make a wish to kill the scorpions and get merit points that way.
"With a whip and my hands?" Ron didn’t understand what she was asking.
"No, I mean can’t you just wish them away?" Sabrina clarified her question and still didn’t think Ron was serious in his claims.
"Well, I could but that would cost wish points and those are quite rare and using them like that is just plain wasteful when I could just kill them on my own" Ron explained a little about wish points to Sabrina.
"You do realise that the scorpion mother is much stronger than the normal ones correct?" Sabrina was thinking Ron was underestimating the scorpions. There were many who underestimated them and got killed that way.
"Of course just watch" Ron was getting a little tired of being underestimated. Sabrina just looked at Ron a little odd but kept quiet for the most part.
Soon their walk in silence continued for another day, they reached the scorpions territory and were greeted by a random scorpion out on patrol. Sabrina was interested in seeing how Ron would deal with them, Ron on the other hand got out his whip. Seeing the whip Sabrina was a little confused, that wasn’t the whip she had enchanted. Did he get a new one already?
Ron didn’t explain and whipped the scorpion with an overhand swipe hitting the scorpion directly on its face, he pulled the whip back in a backhanded stance and jumped to do a small twirl in the air hitting the scorpion once more. Once back on his feet Ron made another overhand swipe, this one however grabbed the scorpion pulling it in closer to Ron who finished it off with a left claw directly in its face.
