Hilda and Shila get sent back to the tenth floor, intending to take a break from climbing the floors for the time being.
A moment later, some people rush at her, geared with light armor and swords.
“Put your hands up! You're under arrest for theft, assault of a noble, destruction of private property and first degree murder!”
Shila immediately teleports back into the system.
“... Shila, what are their levels?”
“None above level 150, trash skills too.”
“Should I y'know?”
Hilda uses her right hand, sliding her hand across her throat while sticking her tongue out, gesturing dying.
“I would strongly advise against doing so…”
“Fine.”
Hilda puts her hands up, placing her sword back into her soul following them.
“Hey Hilda, can I spend my 100K now?”
“Sure, on what?”
“Buff magic and necromancy.”
“Necromancy? Why?”
“No reason.”
“Are you jealous of Jamine?”
“...”
“You are aren't you? But whatever since it's your 100K… wait, you bought a pebble to throw at me, you only get 99,995 points for that.”
“Petty.”
Shila buys buff magic for 1000 points, using another 1000 to ascend it to buff magic before buying necromancy magic for 10,000 points.
“I wonder where we're going though?”
“I reckon it's the noble you messed around with.”
“Oh yea, that's right, hey here's a quick question.”
“What is it?”
“What is the name of this city?”
“Unity, it was named since many races live here.”
“so… say I were to… destroy this city, where would everybody start off?”
“The nearest city.”
“Ok, alright, nice.”
“Why?”
“Oh, no reason.”
“... Don't even try it.”
“Wuss.”
“Don't.”
“Fine.”
While following, Hilda spots 2 figures, an elf and dwarf arguing, the same ones she first met when she first went to the 10th floor.
“Seriously? Still arguing?”
“Long lifespan, so long grudges.”
“wow.”
“Though since they meet each other more than once despite hating each other, they both might be into political stuff.”
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
“What about painting? They into that?”
“Shut up.”
“Nobody appreciates my jokes.”
“Your sense of humour isn't socially acceptable!”
“Kill yourself.”
“...”
“As I was saying before you interrupted
Me, since they're doing politics stuff or whatever they call it here, they probably also have a bunch of information.”
*Are they an information dealer or politicians?”
“They're not politicians, well for the most part. They're ambassadors and politics stuff.”
“Nice, so if I need information, they're gonna be my source.”
“Yep.”
Hilda eventually gets brought in front of a jail cell where she gets thrown into a prison, reinforced so she can't get out.
“So Shila, what to do now?”
“Escape, the noble you messed with will definitely find out you're being kept here and send guards, personal ones after you.”
“How strong?”
“Oh, nothing much, at most in the 300s.”
“ ‘nothing much’ is what you said.”
“Hey look, the Suvans don't even have sword qi or as much mana as you, their skills also suck so you could probably kill them easily.”
“Didn't some level somethings nearly kill me before? Also what's Suvan? I assume the name of their species?”
“Because your stupidity told you to walk in front of them when sword qi would have killed them easily enough, and yea.”
“Sword qi seems better than I thought.”
“most people would have to train for a year to get it and even more to level it up.”
“I guess I'm just that talented.”
“No, I'm just useful, you're just obsessed with your sister?”
“So?”
“... Just break out already.”
Hilda calls for the guard to come, grabbing his head through the bars tightly, using mana to strengthen herself, not letting him escape as she uses obedience magic and mental attack too.
The man's resistance slowly dies down, becoming the definition of a slave.
“Didn't I say that doing such a thing was a bad idea?”
“How else did you expect me to get out?”
“... Teleport?”
“Oh… ok, that makes much more sense.”
“Hey guard, free me out already.”
Hilda and Shila both walk out carefree as the guard unlocks the door for them.
“Hey, what's the difference between this and an undead? From your necromancy skill”
“Yours can still feel fear, mine can't, yours can also level up, but if they level up enough, they'll be able to break free, yours can also speak and keep their memories while mine can't most of the time.”
“How about we just start making them into undead? You need your skill to level up too, right?”
“Yea but…”
Hilda cuts the guard's head off.
“... Nevermind.”
Shila starts using her necromancy magic, reviving the guy as an undead as Hilda watches the headless zombie stand up.
“If you're gonna do this anyways, could you keep the head intact?”
“Sure, but it looks more human than I thought.”
“Because it hasn't even begun to decompose, not that it will not since I brought it back as an undead.”
“So if I kill everybody and you revive them, it'll be like everything is the same?”
“People with divine abilities can detect but apart from that, yea.”
“Nice, I'm not sorry for what I'm about to do.”
Hilda starts running deeper into the jail, killing each guard by cutting their bodies open with Shila following behind.
“I feel like a bad person.”
“And I feel like an accomplice despite being forced into this.”
“Forced? That's so rubbish.”
“So we can stop this?”
“No.”
“... So you're not forcing me but you're not giving me a choice either.”
“yep.”
“So I am being forced.”
“Nope.”
“goddamn liar.”
After killing all the guards, she goes back into her cell, pretending to still be jailed, bringing all the guards into close proximity to her jail cell.
“What are you doing?”
“Waiting.”
“For?”
“Opportunity.”
“To?”
“Take revenge for ruining my shirt.”
“I don't think you heard it when I said level 300s.”
“Quantity over quality, but I suppose having a spare plan doesn't hurt.”
Hilda goes to buy something from the shop, not letting Shila see by hitting her with the hilt of her sword, sending her back into the system.
She places a couple of the things she bought in hidden places all around the cell along with the corridors of the jail.
“This jail looks like a dungeon… one where you keep people.”
Eventually, Shila reappears, hitting Hilda on the head.
“What did you hit me with your sword for?!”
“Secret.”
“... They are probably gonna reach soon.”
“Yep.”
After a bit longer, some people dressed as guards appear as Shila scans them, revealing them to be in the level 400s.
“You there, come with me, somebody would like to see you.”
“Who?”
“Someone important, hurry up.”
“I really hope you have a plan.” Shila makes herself invisible to others.
“Yes, get all your undead to attack them.”
Shila sighs, mentally sending a command to the undead as they all immediately look in their direction before charging straight at the guards, surprising them.
“Shila, if you could make yourself invisible to others, why did you teleport into the system before?”
“I forgot.”
“Idiot.”
“Rude.”
Hilda watches as the guards start easily cutting the zombie guards down and recovering from their situation pretty easily as Hilda spends a wave of sword wo and mana at them, causing the undead to start overwhelming them slightly.
After a while, they kill all the undead, getting injured but still strong enough to right Hioda.
“Damn, how resilient huh?”
“What now Hilda?”
Hilda teleports out pulling a remote with a red button on it out and pressing it.
The dungeon blows up immediately, causing it to collapse on itself as it's underground along with a bunch of level up notifications.
Level up X10.
All stats +10
Trait has been improved slightly.
“That was pathetic, I didn't even get an achievement.”
“Achievements are based on difficulty, doing what you just did won't earn you one, and also killing other beings who aren't monsters doesn't level you up as much. An effort by the guide to prevent mass murder from people like you.”
“Tsk.”
“...”
Hilda walks away, ignoring the stares of anybody.
