A couple hours later, Hilda wakes up, finding herself in the waste of points mansion bought by Shila as she looks around, finding nobody in sight, only a couple of waste of points decorations in the room.
She slowly gets up from the waste of points too big of a bed, stepping out of the room and going downstairs where she finds Jamine and Shila both snacking away new food they never saw them eating before as she opens her notifications to find some new ones while she was fainted about them buying all types of snacks once for the food box.
Oi.
Shila and Jamine both notice her immediately, hiding the food box behind themselves despite knowing Shila already saw it.
Yes?
Mom?
Why are you both snacking here… with my points? Hilda pulls out her sword.
Hey hey, calm down!! We finally hit an income of 1000 points per day, so we decided to take a small break, these snacks don't even add up to over 500 points alright?
Hilda sighs, putting back her sword into her soul.
If I see another notification about you buying from me, you're screwed.
Sure sure whatever, anyways, white or… Aiden wanted to add you to an alliance.
What? Didn't he try that before?
I don't remember honestly, but I rejected it for you.
Why did you do that?
What? You don't like people anyways unless…
Unless what?
You like him?
Hilda pulls her sword back out, making Shila put her hands up, surrendering.
Wait!! We can feel some of your emotions unless you forbid us okay? It was a joke, chill!
Make another joke, and your head will really disappear.
I'll just come back to life a couple hours later.
So? You'll still feel pain, won't you?
Nah.
Wanna test that out? Hilda calls Shila out on her lie.
Not really no.
Then zip it.
Yes mam.
So, should we start on the 16th floor?
Probably not, the 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20th floor is one huge maze, you're not allowed to leave before beating all stages too by the way.
A maze? Like the event one?
Yea, but much bigger.
How much?
If the maze was a sphere, it would be around earth.
Earth, like the entire planet?
Yea, it's as simple as that.
That's not simple.
The explanation is.
You gotta love it when the guide does this.
Your problem.
Yours too, anyways, isn't the tower meant to make us stronger? Why is it making us do this?
I assume it will test your persistence and adaptability since each floor will have different environments, and no, I don't know the environments.
Do you at least know floor 16?
Yea, can't tell, but it's the easiest, to like… help you get used to it.
I assume there are monsters too?
Yea, but avoid the mini boss and boss, those are level 200, the guide even gave them skills such that they are not meant to be beaten, if you do bring them close to death, a shield forms around with them going into hibernation for 48 hours.
So fighting them brings no benefits?
Yea, also the guide took plenty of precautions to make sure you sincerely can't kill it or make it go hibernate too easily.
This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.
Why?
YOU are asking why?
Yea.
It's cus of you….
Thanks for the compliment.
It's not a… nevermind.
So shall we go or not?
I don't wanna spend weeks on end in the stupid maze so I'm gonna say no, if my opinion matters.
If I listen to you, what should I do?
Simple, kill monsters ok the tenth floor, without any skills to train reaction speed, and your skills, fighting sense etc.
Are the monsters on this floor easy?
Not at all, well some are, but most, I think I already told you, are pretty damn strong.
That's actually irritating.
High risk high return.
So I get a lot more loot?
Not at all, I just wanted something to say that seems like it fits in with the conversation.
Hilda smacks Shila on the back of her head gently(for her level).
That was uncalled for.
I'm kinda in a bad mood. I can't go to the next floor, so your jokes aren't particularly helping.
How about going to your territory?
No.
Seriously? Didn't you promise to visit eventually?
Eventually I will.
At this rate, all the current villagers might as well age to death.
Haha, so funny, let's go find something to fight then, since you suggested doing so.
Sure, I would suggest rotating since these monsters do mostly attack the same usually.
That's so troublesome.
Shut it, blame yourself for being born in a world where fighting isn't normal.
Screw you.
You too, let's start off with… the golems.
Golems? Seriously?
Yea, yea I hate them too, but let's go.
Wait, I think I fought them before right?
Yep.
What did they look like again?
Rocks, but these are different.
What do you mean?
They look like mannequins, but they're severely skilled and would cut you to pieces in seconds.
…
Don't worry, they work alone, and you could probably run to a city or settlement to take refuge before it kills you, especially with your survivor achievement.
…….
Fine, let's go.
Good choice.
Shut it.
Alright.
Shila brings Hilda out of town, far away from the city she's in as she finds herself in a forest.
Why is most of my time spent in a forest?
How should I know?
Screw it.
Hilda pulls her weapon out, walking further in as she notices a sign, and removes the vegetation grown over it.
Warning:hulems are found past these signs, if spotted, please walk away slowly and close your eyes, in a moment you'll end up in the afterlife or wherever it is, a place even the guide isn't aware of.
I detect severe sarcasm from this sign.
Obviously, the one place the guide can't check would probably be after your soul disperses anyways.
… So it means, to just drop dead if I walk past? And what's with the name anyways?
Their golems, but Hulems is named after an old guy, his dead from old age now, but was the most successful in creating golems before he died. Also the sign is telling you to either go away, or just die off.
And you're positive I should go?
Yea, they are often alone anyways.
Right.
Hilda goes Deeper Into the forest, past the sign as she her sixth sense skill activates, with her instinctively swinging her sword in her direction, only to be met with a greater strength along with a clang sound as she sees a person, devoid of any facial features, similar to the guide, without the glowing as she backs up due to losing in a contest of strength quickly.
What the hell? Why is it so strong?
It's level 150, you got lucky.
Lucky? Level 150?
Well, most golems here are 200 and above so…
I hate you. Hilda sucks, avoiding another hit, trying to counterattack either the golem hitting her sword away, chasing it fly away as she absorbs it back into her soul with mana.
She pulls her sword back out, with Shila just watching and Jamine god knows where since the city as she starts defending herself, being pushed back quickly as its top half suddenly spins 360 degrees, with her ducking under, barely surviving.
What the hell…
As she moves to the side, trying to attack it, it attacks back, its sword suddenly glowing, along with its hands as Hilda feels her sword heating up quickly, chasing her to pull her sword away before it gets worse.
What the hell was that?
A skill.
Non living creatures can have skills?!
If its creator gave it skills, yes.
Damn.
Hilda starts defending it again, making sure to minimise the contact between their swords as it continues heating up, but slower.
Hilda gets a good hit in, hitting it's sword away but not out of its grasp as she attacks it, with it forming a small but sturdy shield around itself, also heating up as Hilda counters by using mana and sword qi to quickly pierce through the shield, slicing it in half before it can attack her again.
Well, that was easier than expected.
Since its creator didn't bother giving it strong skills, no wonder a pay to win like you won.
… Cry about it.
Nah, anyways you should probably run.
Wh?
It seems like this guy was intended by its creator to be stronger in numbers than individual strength.
Huh?
Hilda teleports away immediately, with her sixth sense skill going crazy in all directions as she looks at her original position, her heart beating like crazy as she notices another 5 similar golems, all with glowing swords, which would have easily killed her, even with her survivor achievement if it hadn't been for her sixth sense and spatial magic skill.
That was close.
I suggest running, quickly. Shila starts running, teleporting back into the system.
The golems all turn to Hilda as Hilda runs away, using spatial magic to quicken her speed to the max as she narrowly avoids some hits.
As Hilda keeps running, she notices a couple oddly familiar faces in sight, not fully recognising them, but having used her mana so carelessly and not wanting to use her trait or waste more mana and sword qi, she has no choice but to go to them as she forms shields behind herself, trapping them in temporarily, turning to the faces.
As she turns to them, she gets slightly surprised at the sight of Aiden, who she still calls white, red, the one she designated animal girl while talking with Shila and lastly orange, the one designated “Bitch” for her poison usage, and being a hide nuisance.
Wow, didn't expect to see you here, what are you doing? White ignored Hilda's current predicament, causing her to glare at him.
You're wearing your mask, but somehow I feel like you don't have a happy expression.
Hilda teleports behind them, getting rid of the shield, having already gotten sick of hearing him talk.
As they attack, Orange uses her animals to defend with white using water to slice their head off, being much stronger than Shila in terms of just brute strength, excluding sword qi and mana.
Red just sits there, being useless as poison doesn't work on golems.
You're welcome? White pokingly taunts Hilda a bit.
But by the way, I already told these two your secret.
Hilda eyes shoot in his direction, staring away, not caring before as she glares at him again.
You did what?! Hilda shouts at White, surprising red and orange for the fact that she's a girl, confusing Hilda as white raises his hands up in surrender.
I said I wouldn't tell you secret, I didn't, you just did though.
Hilda hears Shila mocking her at the back of her head, something she found out Shila could do whenever Shila ran away.
… Your fucked.
Hilda pulls out her sword, filling it with half her remaining mana and half her total sword qi with the three actually raising their hands up, trying to get her to rethink her choices as Hilda approaches them.
Hey hey, I can't deal with your sword qi you know? I could probably survive that, but these two won't so it would be greatly appreciated if you didn't do so, I still need them you know?
Die.
