Chapter 10. Error?

Notification.

Achievement: survivor(legendary) is in use.

Users bleeding has been stopped.

User has been healed the minimum amount needed to survive.

Achievement: survivor(legendary) can no longer be used today.

System is being restored.

Hey Hilda, are you okay?!

Shila reappears along with the slowly disappearing system.

Hurry and drink your elixir.

Fine.

Hilda takes the elixir out of her inventory.

What the minimum amount I need to drink to be able to fight?

Don't Hilda, just run!

How much do I need?

Don't be foolish, just run.

Hey shila, hurry and tell me how much.

… Just a couple drops would be sufficient to get you to be able to somewhat fight.

Hilda pours some of the elixir down her mouth, slightly more than one drop before keeping it back in her inventory and standing up facing the abomination which hasn't even moved from it's spot this whole time.

Can it move?

Yes, but slowly and not very frequently either.

Nice, buff my mana stat to the max with my trait.

But that's too dangerous.

Do it.

Fine…

Hilda watches as her mana stat gets buffed to from 27 to 40.

Is that the max?

Without straining your trait.

Fine.

Hilda watches as the abomination notices that she has not died yet and starts to regenerate its arms again.

No you don't.

Hilda rushes at it, using the mental state of her sword along with mental attack magic , putting all her mana in one swing.

As Hilda makes contact with its body, it uses its arms to try pushing her sword away, but she keeps forcing it through and it drops dead, completely devoid of any remaining life an undead could have.

Hilda, your amazing, though that was still a big risk, the only reason you succeeded was due to weakening it from your previous cuts into its body.

Nice…

Good job, also the tip coupon is so shitty.

Notification

Users' health and mana will be restored to the max.

What the actual hell.

Hilda watches as the abomination slowly starts reviving and mixing back together again.

Shit!

Hilda attacks the abomination with all her mana again, managing to damage it severely again but not kill it as it starts healing back faster than ever, attacking her in the process

What the fuck?!

Shit, if this goes on I'll die for real.

Hilda keeps blocking hits and cutting off more arms as she slowly gets pushed back while the abomination uses its arms slowly crawling towards her.

Shit, Shila buff my mana even more!

But it'll strain your trait and you'll get recoiled.

Either that or I die so hurry!

Alright.

Warning: trait "sis con" will be temporarily deactivated in 10 seconds if strained to that extent.

Warning:user will suffer recoil after deactivation.

Just do it!

Hilda watches as her mana goes from her already buffed 40 to 60 as she pours all of it into another attack at the abomination as it starts pushing her away again, but slowly succeeding

Shit, give me more mana!

Alright.

As her mana gets buffed to 80, she gets another warning.

Warning, highly advised for user to deactivate trait

Shut up and maintain it!

Warning, using trait any further may cause permanent damage.

I don't care.

Hilda continues pouring all of her mana, slowly cutting through but it's regeneration and toughness has also been upgraded.

Warning, users mana has reached 0, any further use will result in recoil.

Hilda ignores the warning and keeps pouring mana into her sword and the mental attack magic as she sees it starting to be cut, along with something else in its body which she can't make out.

Nearly there, I can feel it!

Warning, further use will cause nearly irreversible damage to users soul.

I don't care.

Hilda keeps pouring mana in despite not having any left, ignoring the constant stream of earnings as she finally cuts through, not its body but something else, causing it to drop dead.

Notification.

Mini boss abomination(error) has been killed.

Fuck… if it comes back again, I'm fucked.

Hilda, this is going to hurt.

The recoils? Yea I know.

As she sees the countdowns slowly reaching zero, she braces herself while lying down due to a complete lack of strength as a familiar voice appears.

So, what's the guide doing here?

Hilda asks, still lying down with the countdowns slowly reaching zero.

I heard there was an error but I was busy, but to think you killed it, good job.

Well, in a couple of seconds I'm either going to end up nearly dead or completely dead.

That's not going to be a problem cus I'm here to help you.

Why? I kind of expected you to just leave me to die.

Because this wasn't intended.

The guide teleports both of them to the room she gets sent to when she tears a tip coupon, or atleast a room completely similar looking.

Truth be told, I didn't expect you to be able to cut a soul in half, albeit damaging yours while doing so. The guide says while carrying her to a table the same color as the rest of the room, white, which he just made with magic in the middle of the room and pulls out a black damaged looking object from her body and slowly starts fixing it while restoring her health and mana before placing the object back into her body.

As Hilda watches the black object slowly enter back into her body, she stands up afterwards, still in pain and sore most likely from dying, or nearly dying as she turns to look at the guide.

Look, I know you've got questions for me since I'm reading your mind right now, and you don't seem very happy, so since I owe you this just ask I guess.

How did I kill it?

Didn't I tell you just now? You cut it's soul.

How?

Mental magic, if strong enough can cut a beings soul, but don't get me wrong, your incapable of doing so in normal circumstances.

Huh?

Well, an undead soul is already weaker than living beings, and due to it coming back alive, and as an error to top it off, its soul was already on the verge of destruction.

But how does mental magic affect souls?

A person's mentality is linked to their consciousness, which is part of their soul.

Right, next question, what's an error?

Other people who try messing with my system since they can't fight me.

Why do they want to mess with your system?

… Do you know why I created the system or this tower?

No.

Obviously not, where do you think monsters or as I call them in the system, lifeforms come from?

I assume you made them?

No, I simply stopped them from invading your world and imprisoned them in here to make humans stronger, so this tower was made to execute monsters.

Can't you kill them yourself?

If I do that I'll be busy all the time, and the people… upset with me will take advantage, so my tower traps all invading lifeforms for you humans to kill and get stronger also.

Who's angry at you?

That's a secret for now since if I tell you, they'll try a lot harder to kill you.

Are they targeting me?

Yes, but your sister will be fine, don't worry about her. The guide says making it obvious his reading her mind.

Why?

Can't answer that, anyways I do hope you keep this… incident to yourself.

Sure, but I need compensation.

Huh?

Your mistake, so pay up.

Fine, what do you want?

Upgrade her.

Hilda points to Shila who's hiding behind her probably due to being refreshed by him in the past.

Can't do that, not yet, but I'll give you an opportunity to upgrade her in the future.

Fine but remember, you owe me one.

Sure, time for me to send you back now okay? He gestures an okay sign with his hand, seeming more playing than enthusiastic.

Before Hilda can answer, both she and Shila gets teleported back to the dead corpse for the abomination as Hilda looks at it one last time before walking past it to the next area.

At the next area, Hilda takes her time admiring the abundance of plants and colorful environment contrary to what she was, most likely due to illusion magic while not caring to check for monsters due to Shila informing her that this is a safe zone.

How nice, wish I could just stay here a bit longer.

You know, just don't go back just yet.

I need to, or people will start surpassing me in levels.

Sure sure.

Hilda continues walking and sees a cave similar to the entrance of the dungeon and a way to continue forwards with a new recommended level.

Dungeon

(Undead graveyard, phase 2)

Recommended party size 4.

Max players at a time 4.

Recommended average minimum level 40.

Continue?

Hilda, don't be a stupid idiot.

Yea I know I know, if I barely survive the recommended level before, I sure as hell can't survive this.

As Hilda walks up to the cave and clicks the notification to leave the dungeon, Shila let out a sigh of relief that her short system life won't be ending just yet, having technically been born a few days ago when Hilda entered the tower.
