Chapter 25: Realization

REALIZATION

Ungator turned back with a knowing grin and uttered, "OMEGA EYES."

Suddenly, everything went blank for me.

When I regained awareness, I found myself in a place Ungator had transported me to. He stood nearby, gazing up at the sky.

"Get strong, Emma Lantra," he said, pausing with a smile. "Or should I say EmDragon?"

Then, I woke up.

I opened my eyes to find myself lying in a comfortable hospital bed, bathed in soft light filtering through the curtains. A gentle hum of machinery filled the room, blending with the rhythmic beeping of monitors. On my left, a nurse with kind eyes was murmuring incantations as she administered a healing spell to a young boy in the next bed. He looked a few years older than me, his face bearing a mix of relief and fatigue.

"Aunt Yuri, don't worry. I'll be alright," the boy reassured the nurse with a faint smile. His voice carried a hint of weariness, but also a stubborn determination.

Aunt Yuri, her expression a blend of concern and fondness, glanced over at me as if sensing my awakening. "Thank heaven she's awake. I need to contact her family," she said hurriedly before bustling out of the room, leaving me and the boy alone.

The boy noticed my gaze and sat up a little straighter, curiosity lighting up his features. "Hi! How are you feeling? Can you talk?" he asked eagerly, his voice betraying both relief and curiosity.

I returned his smile. "Hey, yeah, I'm feeling alright and I can talk, as you see," I replied, my voice still a bit groggy from whatever had happened.

He chuckled softly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Oh, sorry about that question. That wasn't the right thing to ask," he apologized sheepishly. "May I know your name?"

"My name is Emma. And what's yours?" I asked, genuinely curious now.

"Oh! My name is Hernand, the fourth son of the 6th Duke of Eldo-Clearoth Kingdom," he replied humbly.

"Cool," I said with a smile, glancing around the room to see if my family had arrived yet. There was an air of relief and comfort in the room, a stark contrast to the mysterious void where I had last been with Ungator.

As Hernand prepared to leave, I couldn't help but offer him some advice, remembering the strange vision I had just saw by looking at him. "Fight for your voice. Don't let this unfair world consume you. Don't walk the path of Revenge; once you go through it, there's no turning back," I said softly, hoping my words would reach him.

Tears welled up in Hernand's eyes as he nodded silently, quietly leaving the room, his footsteps echoing faintly in the corridor. Moments later, I heard footsteps approaching. It was Hernand again. "Thank you," he whispered before leaving.

I lay back on the bed, replaying everything that had happened in my mind. "I saw his future. All of it. Is that part of the OMEGA EYES ABILITY, " I realized with a mix of awe and confusion. Ungator's words echoed in my mind, teasing at the edges of my memory.

Soon, I heard a rush of footsteps approaching my room. The door burst open, and my parents rushed in, their faces a mixture of relief and worry. My elder sister Ellie and twin brother Ethan were close behind, tears streaming down their faces as they enveloped me in a tight embrace.

"You're awake at last!" my mom exclaimed, her voice trembling with emotion.

Dad placed a gentle hand on my shoulder, his eyes filled with unshed tears. "We were so worried," he admitted softly.

Confused by their overwhelming emotions, I looked around at them. "Why are you all crying? How many days was I asleep for?" I asked, trying to piece together the missing moments.

Dad exchanged a glance with Mom, a silent conversation passing between them. Finally, he took a deep breath and said, "..."
