INTO THE DEPTHS
In the vast emptiness, I awoke floating, surrounded by a pitch-black nothingness that offered no clue as to where I was or how I got there. Questions raced through my mind like wild horses: "Where am I? How did I end up here? Is Ethan safe?" Each query echoed into the formless abyss, unanswered.
Amidst my confusion, a whisper pierced the silence, softly calling my name. "Emma... Emma... Emma..." The voice grew louder, more insistent, resonating with an eerie familiarity. Swallowing my uncertainty, I confronted the unseen presence. "Who are you? What do you want?" I demanded, my voice bold and unwavering despite the unease creeping up inside me.
"There are things you do not know," the voice replied ominously, its tone akin to the distant rumble of thunder. "How long do you think you can protect them?"
"For as long as it takes," I asserted firmly. "Even if it costs me my own life!" My defiance burned fiercely in my eyes, a reflection of the determination coursing through me.
"Impressive! For a little girl," the voice chuckled darkly, a mixture of amusement and intrigue in its tone. "Show yourself!" I challenged, my tone demanding and resolute.

From the shadows emerged a towering figure, materializing out of thin air. It took the form of a colossal dog-like creature, standing twenty feet tall, its eyes glowing with an unsettling intensity that pierced through the darkness.
"If you can defeat my hound, I will reveal myself," the voice declared with a hint of challenge. "But if you can't, your journey ends here!"
"You dare challenge me," I grinned defiantly, my eyes gleaming with determination. "I will not falter."
I steadied my breath, focusing on the daunting task ahead. "I haven't even Awakened yet," I murmured to myself, knowing that I had to conquer this monstrous creature to uncover the truth and ensure my survival.
Suddenly, a mysterious force propelled me forward, landing me firmly on a solid surface amidst the void. Before me materialized a sword, its blade shimmering with an otherworldly sheen, a tool of unknown origin and unknown power.
Thoughts of Ellie, Ethan, Mom, Dad And my Promise surged through my mind, strengthening my resolve. "I will survive," I affirmed silently. "I must unravel the meaning of all this. I must protect those I care about, and must get stronger no matter what."
With unwavering determination, I gripped the sword tightly and assumed a battle stance, ready to face whatever challenge awaited me. "Do not lament if your pet puppy does not survive this," I declared boldly, my voice echoing into the abyss.
"Hehehe, begin!" the ominous voice responded, setting the stage for a battle that would test my courage, mind, body, and resolve to their very limits.
