THE ROYAL BOOKSTORE OPENING
A year had passed since Ethan and I celebrated our birthday, and today was special—it marked the grand opening of the Royal Bookstore, open to commoners like us for the first time. "I KNOW, I KNOW, YEAH YEAH YEAH, THE BOOKSTORE HAS BEEN OPENED A LONG TIME AGO! WHO CARES ABOUT THE PAST? BUT THIS DAY IT'S OPEN FOR COMMONERS AND I'M SO HAPPY," I exclaimed excitedly.
"Are you ready, Emma? We're going to be late!" Mom called out impatiently.
*STEP*
*STEP*
*STEP*
"Yes, Mom, I'm coming!" I hurriedly replied.
ELDO-CLEAROTH'S KINGDOMS CITY
Finally arriving at the kingdom, we encountered a slightly terrible problem
*AWWMAN!*, There was a long line to enter the bookstore.
"The waiting line isn't moving at all," someone muttered in frustration.
"Maybe the royals are inside," another speculated.
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
*WALK*
*WALK*
*WALK*
"Excuse me, why isn't the line moving?" a man boldly questioned the guards at the entrance.
"GET BACK IN LINE!" a guard snapped aggressively.
"Alright, I'll be going," the man reluctantly backed off.
An hour passed with the line barely moving. Suddenly, men on horses rode by, escorting a royal carriage towards the king's palace.
"Look, it's a royal carriage," someone pointed out excitedly.
"I heard the princess of the Elverian Kingdom is visiting our King's daughter, Princess Agatha, today," another voice chimed in.
"Maybe it's the princess of the Elf Kingdom that's in that carriage," added another, sparking a discussion.
"I didn't know the two kingdoms were on good terms," I murmured to myself, intrigued by the political implications.
As the crowd buzzed with speculation, I realized something very Important,
I needed to use the bathroom urgently.
*Grrrrrrrrrrr*, My Stomach Rumbled,
"Mom, can I go use the bathroom?" I asked, trying to hide my discomfort.
"Sure, honey. Let me go with you," Mom offered kindly.
"No, no, no, I can go myself. I'll be alright," I insisted, rushing off before she could protest further.
"Okay, Emma, take care and don't wander off," Mom called after me, sounding concerned.
After using the bathroom, While making my way back to the line, intending to find Mom. As I walked, I overheard a group of men speaking in hushed tones.
"All the traps have been set," one man whispered ominously.
"We'll ambush them when they come," another voice replied with a chilling determination.
"The two kingdoms shall suffer a great loss this day," a third man added, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous intent.
Fear gripped me as I realized something sinister was unfolding. What did they mean by traps and ambush? Were they planning an attack during the royal visit? I had to warn someone, but who would believe a young girl caught eavesdropping? The air suddenly felt tense, and the excitement of the bookstore opening was overshadowed by an impending threat.
