I walked back to the Boroboro Village while carrying a dozen stone-skinned rabbits on my back. I tied them with a weird flexible root that grows from below the ground. Finding these roots is a good coincidence.
Back at Boroboro Village, the villagers welcomed me with a smile. Especially when they see that I carry a dozen rabbits on my back. They cheered and danced happily as if today were a festival.
I put the rabbits near the entrance and went to my corner. Somehow I felt very tired, so I put my back on the ground and decided to get some sleep.
*****
I woke up feeling wet.
I slowly open my eyes and see the villagers are busy climbing and walking on my body, cleaning my body of dirt and blood. a little, but it seems like the village respects my privacy and only washes my upper body. Leaving my lower body to myself.
Seeing that I was awake, the villagers quickly got off my body and went back to their house. They look happy to be helping take care of me.
"Lord Yohan, we are glad that you have returned to us.
We have a little bit of fear after seeing you with many wounds on your body. "
That was Old Hokai talking near my head. I am still lying on my back and can only tilt my head to the side.
"Why the fear?
It was just some wounds.
Those wounds will heal over time. "
"Not for us, Lord Yohan.
The rabbits are known not only for their thick stone skin but also for the weak poisons in their claws and bites.
Some of us died due to the poison. "
"Well, it seems the weak poison didn't work on me. "
"Yes, but their Great Beast might have a stronger poison.
If you are ever going to fight it, you must be wary of its claws and bites. "
"Noted, old man. "
Old Hokai left me to rest after a little bit of chat. After the first conversation where he offered his life to me, we became quite good talking friends.'
"Oh, by the way, old man.
how long have I been gone?"
"if I count it together from the moment you are leaving until you wake up just now.
you have been gone for a week, my Lord."
old Hokai then left me for good while shaking his head, as if I was stupid to ask such a question. But I could see a little smile on his face that said whatever I did, I did it well.
It seems like Old Hokai is going to be my number one human friend in this world.

After sleeping for a few more hours, I asked one of the villagers about the nearest water body to the village.
The villagers, led by a man called Asoka, gladly led the way to the nearest water source, which was just the opposite of my sleeping site.
The water is a little pond. It was the main source of water for the Beriberi Village, where they got their drinking water, cleaning water, and land cultivation water.
"Where does the dirty water go after you use it? "
"We just put the water into a hole near our homes and let the land claim it back. "
Well, their solution is not wrong, but wrong at the same time. That is dirty water; no matter how organic the dirt is, it still brings bad things to your land.
Well, let's help them solve this problem later. Now I need to clean myself and to do that, I need a deep enough space so my body can fit in.
What do I want to make?
I want to create a bathing pool!
I took some more distance from the little pond that produces an unlimited amount of water for Beriberi Village. It was about ten to twelve steps from the pond. My step, not the villagers.
In that place, I began to dig for about three hours. Pull out dirt and rocks before flattening them with the combination of my heavy weight and wide feet. The final product is a long square hole about the length of my body that could have my laid-down body underwater. Maybe this is the first time in this world, a bathtub was invented.
Now it is time for the water!
I dig a small trench from the pond to my bathtub. It takes only a few minutes, and finally, everything is ready!
Soon, water began to fill my new bathtub!
It's going to take some time until my bathtub is filled with water. The time that I used to talk with a curious villager called Kuhiki.
"What are you going to do with that rabbit fur you got a while ago? "
"Lord Yohan, we usually dry the skin and use it as protective clothing. "
"You guys make armor? "
"No, we can't, Lord Yohan.
It is just protective clothing.
Thick and hard enough to protect us, but not enough to save our lives."
"Hmm, then is there anyone here that can prepare the rabbits' skin and turn it into processed leather? "
"I am sorry, Lord Yohan.
I don't know the person or items that you just mentioned.
But if you wish for some clothes, you can ask Miss Kuidres. "
The name sounds... almost like a quick dress. Maybe it's just my feelings.
I look at the bathtub and see that water has finally filled it. I said goodbye to the curious Kuhiki and quickly submerged myself in the water.
The result of my bathtub is very bad. The floor was muddy, and I could barely wash my body clean as the dirt quickly filled my bathtub. I need better flooring for this, but let's get satisfied by having my body wet and rubbed clean.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Somehow, I miss soap.
The good side is that when the dirt and mud finally settle down, the people of Boroboro Village will have a second pool of water. They also now realize that they can expand the amount of pond they have by digging a new hole and letting water in from the main pond.
All in all, everything is going for the better.

The next day is coming, and I finally meet with Kuidres.
She is not human, but she is also not a demon or something with a similar theme. That is the first thing I have to say to myself.
Kuidres can be described as a living sewing machine. Her actual race is lost to me if I take it from her look, but she does have human features like a female head, a female body, and female legs.
Other than that, that is what makes me sure she is not human. For one, she has four arms. Each is shaped and designed to be useful for attire creation. Next is her mouth, which is filled with blade-like teeth and used as scissors.
She doesn't have a nose; her eyes are covered with glass-like covers. Then finally, she has that circular wheel thing on her back that you often see in old sewing machines.
She is creepy, especially for me, but she also proved to be a valuable asset to the village.
Kuidres alone provides everyone in the village with their clothing and fixes them when needed. She doesn't have anyone to help her, and she refuses to take anyone to help her.
When I talk to her about making me pants, Kuidres just nods a few times and then focuses her eyes on my body, as if she is calculating something.
I instinctively tried to cover my body from her intense sight.
Girl, you better not get any creepier than this.
Kuidres left me after she looked at my body, which made me uncomfortable and didn't even look back. She entered her home and didn't come out again.
The rest of that day, I spent my time learning with the villagers. Watching them do their daily lives and how they spend their time.
*****
The next day, something unexpected happened to the village.
A group of ten stone-skinned rabbits suddenly appears in the distance. They ran at their top speed straight to Boroboro Village.
I quickly ordered the villagers to run, and only those who could fight would stay in the village. As the villagers run to perform their defensive movements, I run straight to the rabbits.
When the rabbits see me, their eyes show a sign of reluctance. It is as if they finally realized that I am a predator and they are the prey.
I suddenly have this weird feeling—a feeling that makes me feel stronger. Like a boxer who takes a dose of adrenaline and is now ready to fight wildly.
I am thinking about checking my status, but the nearest rabbit is already jumping at me, claws and teeth ready. I responded with a heavy slap that hit the rabbit's face straight.
The rabbit is thrown back and manages to hinder its friend's movements. I slap two more rabbits and throw them away to the side.
The other rabbits started to spread out, knowing that they could not defeat me with a simple attack. This time, I remembered to use my claws and managed to stab the nearest rabbit to death.
The other rabbits started to put me in a circle, and they started to attack me in random turns. They are way too weak for me; their poison will only make me a bit more tired than usual.
Their bodies, on the other hand, can be used for us. The stone on their skin can be used as a material to make walls, while their meat is a good source of food. Their skin, if there is anyone who can process it properly, can be used as clothing material.
With that in mind, I tried to kill the rabbit with the least amount of damage I could. Which is hard because I am a poor fighter and have no experience at all.
I just hope there are no skilled fighters in my batch of Great Beasts, or else I'll be screwed.
It took some time, but finally, I managed to kill eight rabbits, while the last two were killed by the Boroboro Warriors. These warriors fight using a sharpened stick and stone. Hmm, interesting.
After killing the rabbits, I went back to the village and saw something that I hadn't expected. I know rabbits are weak for me, but it seems like I take their level of danger too low.
Boroboro Villagers were wounded. The last two rabbits that I left behind made a mess in the village. They even manage to follow the non-combatants and poison some of them. Luckily, the warriors manage to kill the one in the village fast so they can save the weak villagers.
Somehow, I feel guilty. It was my fault that the rabbits managed to escape and attack the villagers. Seeing them wounded and hurt somehow hurt my own heart.
"Thank you, Lord Yohan!
We can never survive this easily when the rabbits raid us! "
Old Hokai and everyone else look happy to be alive despite the wounds they have. They thank me many times and talk to each other happily as if there is nothing dangerous happening to them.
Meanwhile, my feelings get worse. Somehow I see the villagers' smiles as fake, their laughs filled with pain and grief for the wounded who might not survive the day. I feel responsible for doing something to make this never happen again.
As night came and people went back to their own houses, I stayed outside and looked at the village. I can hear a painful moan from some wounded villagers while their families soothe the pain with encouraging words.
My guilt grows bigger when I hear this, along with the realization that this village doesn't have a competent doctor. When people get wounded, they can only resign to their fate while caring for their wounds with little knowledge.
'I have to do something, or I will not be able to forgive myself. '
With that in mind, I set out and made a journey on my own. My first target was the Rabbit Great Beast!
