The newly built village has grown to be quite amazing. In the span of a few weeks, several buildings and homes have been successfully built and used by the villagers. Most newly available buildings were for public use, such as Public Offices and Public Storage.
Meanwhile, the personally used buildings are being made sparingly, since most villagers think that public buildings are more important than personal ones.
While the village grew and its people started to stand back up on their feet, Yohan spent his time wandering alone in the grassland. it happen a week ago when one of the villagers found a small Smilursa trying to hide itself under the thick part of the grass. When Yohan heard about that, he was reminded of the Smilursa warning and became agitated.
At that point, Yohan made the decision to patrol the village in an attempt to find the Smilursa who were scouting and kill them as quickly as possible. He has managed to kill one scout so far and scare off several more.
'these Smiluras are getting more daring every day.'
Today was unlike any other day for Yohan, as he spotted a scouting Smilursa that appeared in front of him on purpose, keeping as far away as possible. Yohan chased it for a few minutes before realizing something was wrong and turning back toward Boroboro Village. This was a lucky move for Yohan, because as he approached the village, he saw five more Smilursa hiding beneath the tall grass, attempting to ambush and murder the villagers while Yohan was chasing the lone scout away.
With a great roar, Yohan used his skill "World Breaker Roar" to charge toward the five Smilursa, clearly incensed about their maneuvers of distraction and cunning.
ROOAARRRR!!
His ability to control the five Smilursa could only instill a state of mild fear and shock in them because he was still too far away from them. Four of the five move toward Yohan to try to hold him off, while the other one flees quickly.
"TELL YOUR BOSS TO FACE ME INSTEAD OF SENDING YOU KIDS!"
Yohan launches his attack by grabbing a Smilursa that is unable to break free with his newly discovered loud voice. Yohan immediately tightened his grip and used his strength to blow the small Smilursa.
The remaining three Smilursa, unfazed by the death of their kin, attack and pounce on Yohan, piercing his body with their claws. Sadly for them, Yohan was accustomed to this type of assault. He yanked off the two claws that were fastened to his body, while the last one managed to escape and get some distance, afraid to attack by itself.
Yohan pounced on the last Smilursa, who could only tremble in fear. As his claws stuck firmly in the little Smilursa body, Yohan quickly opened his mouth wide and delivered a ferocious bite to the Smilursa head.
CRUNCH!
the little Smilursa was unable to do anything before its life was gone. Yohan easily gulped the head after chewing it a bit and quickly turned his attention back to the other two Smilursa. They looked like they were in pain, but somehow they could still smile so evilly. That was when Yohan got a bad feeling and looked toward the village, where another five Smilursa were about to jump into the village.
"YOU SNEAKY BASTARD!!"
Yohan ran as fast as he could toward the village, trying to save them, but then the two Smilursa that he fought before slammed their bodies against Yohan's back and bit his ankle to stop him. roaring in frustration, Yohan grabbed the one that bit his ankle and ripped its head off its body. throwing the head and body that had already separated forcefully, Yohan once again ran toward the village.
The last Smilursa was too afraid to attack Yohan at that time, but it made a sound that signaled its friend about Yohan's arrival. The attacking five Smilursa heard the call and quickly escaped, saving themselves from Yohan's frenzied attack. Soon, no more Smilursa can be found around.
Yohan was panting; this was the first time in his new life where he had to run around to catch the little vermin and prevent them from attacking the villagers.
The villagers were happy that they were safe; they cheered and shouted out Yohan's names while praising him as their hero and savior. Meanwhile, Yohan knows better. Smilursa attack today was not the real attack. This was a probe to gauge how good Yohan was at defending his village.
Yohan feared that the time would come when the Smilursa would attack the village from all sides and give Yohan no chance to defend the village. Yohan decided to talk with Hokai, who was busy celebrating with the other villagers.
"Hokai, i need to talk to you.
Go outside the village and meet me there. "
"Yes my lord, i will go there as fast as i can. "
Yohan then left the village to celebrate by themselves. The current Yohan used to stay away alone or just be busy helping with big projects.
Yohan waited for several hours before Hokai finally came and greeted him.
"My Lord, I have come and am ready to talk.
" Hokai, I need you to prioritize a new project.
It must be done in a day or faster. "
"What do you need, my Lord?
Why did you need it so fast? "
"The Smilursa will come again. I don't know when, but they will come.
I don't know where they will come, so i need your help to watch over the village.
Sound the alarm when you see the Smilursa, i will come as fast as possible to that place and kill the Smilursa for you. "

"Ah, yes, my Lord. I will arrange that."
"Oh, one more thing. Train the warriors some more; I want them to be able to at least hold the Smilursa, even for just a little.
I might not always come on time; you people need to be able to stand on your ground as well."
after that, Yohan let Hokai go back to the village to relay his message. Yohan begins his patrol once more, this time at a closer distance to the village than before. He didn't want to be caught off once again.
from his place, Yohan can see four tower-like building being built in haste. The design was very basic, but it fulfilled his requirements very well. In the span of two days, a four-guard tower successfully emerged on the four sides of Boroboro Village. one person was stationed there for a few hours, taking turns with others for the whole days. No one person will stay in one tower for longer than a few hours to avoid getting bored and slack in their duty.
For the call, the village creates something like a trumpet made of carved wood that can produce a booming sound loud enough to be heard a few kilometers away. With that kind of call, Yohan believes he will hear it even when he is in the heat of battle.

Hokai POV
Hokai was happy. His saviour, his master, and his student have become such great beings. Since that time, when he killed the gigantinc Oak Treant, Hokai has believed that Yohan has finally become the being he was meant to be. a great beast with tremendous power and authority.
What put Hokai off was that Yohan's attitude also took a sharp turn, like his battle prowess. No more polite and caring Yohan; what they have now is a lone and powerful Lord who will protect them from the distance while helping them when needed.
Then, after weeks of peace and rebuilding, an attack comes from the Boroboro Village surroundings. The Smilursa have come back to take their chance to kill not only the Great Beast Yohan but also the villagers he protected. the villagers was caught by surprise, unable to defend themselves since they never really prepared for that. Yohan's presence has already been their main assurance of safety for the last few weeks.
Fortunately, Yohan was quick to act. He fights back the Smilursa before they even touch the village. His mighty roar and deadly claws protect the village from any harm. Everyone was happy and even celebrated their Lord's victory, but Hokai knows better.
Hokai knows that Yohan himself was unprepared for this attack. He was as surprised as the villagers. The only difference was that he had enough power to protect everyone. This saddened Hokai and made him feel useless once more.
Fortunately, Yohan called for Hokai later that day and asked him to lead the villager to fortify their defence. Hokai can see that Yohan still cared for them, despite being quite different from his previous self. Hokai quickly agreed to follow Yohan's command and lead the villagers to build the things Yohan requested.
"My friend, fellow villagers!
Our Lord has asked us to build a simple tower, one that will help him protect us all.
Gather the wood and tools; we will build it as fast as we can!"
Hokai quickly separated the villagers into groups; each was tasked with building a simple tower in each direction. The tower design was quite simple: wood stacked together to be able to stand as tall as ten meters. The roof for the tower was just flat wood, while the ladder was also made from the same wood. After the four teams go to do their task, Hokai gathers a few others to brainstorm about a tool to warn Yohan if enemies ever come again.
One of them gives out a brilliant idea about a tube with a small mouth on one end and a huge mount on the other. This tool was made to be long and have some mechanism inside that will make the produced sound even louder than usual.
Hokai was pleased with this idea and asked them to build the tool right away. Hokai put the person who gave the idea as the leader of making the tool and let them go away to build it. After that, Hokai spent his time supervising all the towers and sound tools to make sure everything was built perfectly.
Unfortunately for Hokai, the building process takes longer than what Yohan requested, but it seems like Yohan didn't mind it at all. Hokai also presented the sound tool that they made and demonstrated how it sounds so Yohan can recognize it when the time comes.
BWOOOOONGG
"Oh, you guys can create a... trumpet?"
"trumpet? Is that the name of this tool, my Lord?"
"Ah, em, yeah, I was about to call another thing, but Trumpet will be easier for you guys to understand."
Hokai was pleased with all the things the villager had built. They all met Yohan's expectations, and I will help them protect themselves. Last but not least, Hokai assigned people on the tower to keep watch over the surrounding area and sound the trumpet if they ever found signs of enemies. Hokai put each of them only for a few hours and rotated their locations randomly to avoid them getting bored and slack in their watch, something that he had found many times in his younger years.
With everything in place, Hokai can finally rest in his home once again. feeling fulfilled because he once again became important to the village.
BWOOOOOONGGG
or no rest, Hokai can only sigh in tiredness.
