Booommm!
Weak and brittle, Oak Treant half broken body falls to the ground. His cracked trunk showed his broken and powdered insides.
Meanwhile, Yohan was also in pain. His whole body felt like it was melted and might peel off his bones anytime. The most painful part was his throat which got damaged due to excessive usage.
Lucky for Yohan, his passive healing skills quickly kicked in. Yohan remembered that he hadn't taken a look at the skills description and decided to do that.
Skills : Regenerative Body
The skill will allow the user's body to regenerate over time.
In battle, increase the effectiveness of the body's natural healing by six times.
Outside battle, increase the effectiveness of natural healing by ten times.
Increase natural stamina regeneration by two times.
Allowing the regeneration of lost body parts.
Notes : these skills will use the body's natural reserve in exchange for recovery, be careful to avoid a lack of energy.
Yohan was confused by the description but he didn't have time to think about it. At least he knows that his wounds will be healed in battle, just a bit slower compared to when he was resting.
Meanwhile, Oak Treant no longer gives a threatening vibe. Instead, he looks like a scared little boy. He tried to turn his trunk to no avail, trying his very best to run away from Yohan. Unfortunately for him, Oak Treant no longer has his roots and branches. He was almost as weak as a dead log in the forest, waiting for mushrooms and water to break his body apart.
Yohan after seeing Oak Treant's conditions, decides to spare his attention towards the Boroboro Village people. He started to look around and finally noticed how much damage he had caused to the village.
For once, the village was no more. What was left in its place was a huge crater where Yohan and Oak Treant were currently. The crater was big enough that it almost covered the entire range of Boroboro Village.
At one corner of the used-to-be village, were several piles of wood that is stacked together against the stone walls. The stacked wood was placed carefully in a triangle shape with the sharp point directed towards Yohan and Oak Treant's battlefield. Creating a kind of fortress for protection against their battle.
Behind the stacked wood were Boroboro Village people, led by Hokai, that still busy barricading themselves with everything they could find nearby.
Yohan can even find some Oak Treant branches there and that makes Yohan smile a little.
After Yohan is sure that the villagers are safe, he puts his attention back to Oak Treant who appears to be on his last breath. No more scary Treant and all that menacing act, what's left was an old and brittle husk that was waiting for death embrace.
"So, how's my skill?
Cool right? "
"You... Are... Really... A challenger... "
"Well of course I am.
I think I will be a real challenger after this. "
"So.. After all this time... You were... Just.... "
"Yup, just like you.
You didn't really put everything in our fight, right? "
"Why... Do you... Think... Like that? "
"Well, you said you have lived for so long and learned a lot of magic.
But you barely used one against me. "
"Heh... You challenger.. Just don't know.. Anything.. "
Yohan just looked at the waning Oak Treant with an indifferent look. For the current him, Oak Treant was clearly a traitorous being that didn't worth anything from him but cruelty.
Yohan was about to smash the old tree by kicking it when suddenly another creature showed up. It was Smilursa who appeared to be smiling big and wide as if he was just done watching a good show.
"Never expected you to be able to kill him, Challenger. "
Yohan quickly jumps back to make a distance. He prepared himself to fight despite his body screaming in protest. Yohan actually forgot that this creature was here since he was too focused on dealing with Oak Treant.
"Relax boy, I don't want to fight you now.
Well actually I do but where is the fun in that?"
"What do you want then? "
"Simple, I will be back at any random time.
I will be there when you think you are safe and forget about my threat.
If you are good enough, you might be able to kill me.
Else, I will kill you without you realizing it. "
Smilursa then turned around and left the village area as if he were just having an afternoon stroll. Yohan can only look with a confused face while Oak Treant can barely care about Smilursa's action.
From the distance, with a faint voice, Smilursa shouts to Yohan.
"I would clear out the Treant if I were you! "
Then Yohan realizes that there are still some Treant around the village. Most of them were the old Treant but there were also a few younger ones.
"Ahhh, clean up job always the most annoying. "
"Stupid... Fat... Mixbreed... "
"Oh right, I forgot about you Oak Treant.
Goodbye then! "
"Ch! "
With a simple move, Yohan kicked Oak Treant's trunk right on his face. His kick successfully broke and turned Oak Treant's brittle trunk into wood dust.
Yohan felt satisfied. With his aching body, he walks slowly to meet the villagers who already waiting for him.

The next few days were spent killing the young and old Treant. With his current power, the Treant was no longer a threat to him. It just takes one or two punches in the middle of the trunk to kill the Treant.
Meanwhile, the villagers worked together to collect the Treant's remains and pile them together based on their size. Some were too big and needed Yohan to move them to the storing pile while some were small enough for the villagers to carry themselves.

After the clean-up was over, Yohan decided to take a full day's rest. He was planning to sleep the whole day but then remembered what Smilursa said about his secret attack.
What Smilursa said about coming when he was safe really put a burden on his mind. Sadly there was nothing he could do but be prepared at any moment.
The next day, Yohan decides to leave all the village business to Hokai and the villagers themselves. He will just act as their shield and sword, protecting them from the threat of the world, or as a heavyweight worker to lighten the villager's work.
Hokai himself didn't really mind Yohan's decision as he also knew that Yohan was bad at management activities and worked better as a muscleman. Instead, he asks one of his trusted men to lead the remaining villagers to rebuild their village.
Their plan to rebuild started by choosing a new land, as the previous land was already turned into a deep crater. The villagers decided to build their new village right beside the crater after Yohan offered to fill the crater with water from the nearby pond.
From then on, Yohan put himself in a heavy machinery role, making holes and lifting wood that was too big for the villagers. Funnily, Yohan idea for the symmetrical outlines for the villages was still used as a reference.
Yohan was tasked to draw the lines as the basic design for the new village. Yohan decided to just follow what the person in charge told him to do and started to draw some lines for the whole day.
Then comes the next day and still there is no sight of Smilursa. Yohan continues his work as heavy machinery and draws some more lines. He was also tasked to dig two meters deep that will be used as a building foundation.
All day long Yohan worked his body and mind, focusing on the task that he started to forget the threat of Smilursa. He knew that Smilursa would come to him eventually, but since there was no sign of him for a few days, Yohan started to get too relaxed to worry about that.
Another thing that Yohan realized was the effects of his healing skill. It seems that the skill affected his natural healing and enhanced it to a higher level.
A small wound that takes two or three days to heal will be healed in two or three hours, sometimes less than that. Meanwhile, bigger and more severe damage also healed at a faster rate, but not as fast as small wound does.
Another thing from the skill that he needs to note is that it helps with stamina regeneration, which makes Yohan work twice as much with less time to rest. Back when he was an office worker, such skill would be a nightmare but here the skill was a blessing.
The only drawback was that the healing skills required energy, the same energy that the body needs to heal normal wounds that come from food. And the food was something that Yohan rarely had since he became Were Lion.
Yohan just noticed by now that he rarely eats his opponent. The only one he remembered eating was Luvia and since then Yohan didn't remember that he had ever eaten any other creatures.
Yohan asked about this to Hokai, hoping that he might have a clue or something for him. Unfortunately, this was also the first time he realized that Yohan hadn't even eaten anything since he arrived.
Hokai was about to call some of the villagers and ask them to bring food to Yohan but Yohan stopped him. Yohan felt fine and didn't feel any hunger right now so maybe he was okay with less amounts of food, for now.
The next day comes and still no sign of Smilursa. Yohan started to forget that Smilursa was waiting for him to slack off and continue to help the villagers as much as he could.
Aside from digging holes for the foundation, Yohan started to help with the plants. He helps to cultivate the land and redirect water toward the cultivated land.
He also redirects the water from the nearest pond toward the crater. After he makes a big waterway from the pond to the crater, he leaves it alone and doesn't check it back again as he is busy helping the villagers.
Another day passed by and soon a week passed in a blink.
Yohan has already forgotten about Smilursa and is busy with the rebuilding project. The villagers have started to put their wood together to form a solid building made of wood.
The first thing they built was called the Public Office. It was the place where Hokai and several leading figures would gather together and discuss their next step as a village.
Beside the Public Office was a place called General Storage where the villagers stored every resource they had to rebuild the village. This storage will be repurposed later in the future so the villagers made it quite simple and easy to disassemble. They only made a few partitions to separate building resources and edible resources.
Yohan started to wonder where the villagers lived if they hadn't built their homes yet and turn out he was missing something that he didn't realize.
The villagers have opted to live in the previous stack of woods that they built to withstand Yohan's fight against Oak Treant. The stack of wood can actually house two or three families together and they just put a partition to separate each family space.
Yohan was a bit sad when he saw that but it seemed the villagers were fine and happy. Yohan started to think that he underestimated the villagers too much with his thinking.
Soon night arrived and Yohan decided to sleep in a makeshift house he made using wood and soil. Yohan lay in his makeshift home with a big smile on his face. Another fruitful day of working with the villagers.

In the distance, about one hour's walk away from Boroboro Village, a small Smilursa was silently watching over the village. Its eyes never stop looking and soon another one will take its place.
When its shift was over, it had to go back to its leader and send a message to him.
The challenger has forgotten about their attack. He was full of openings. The time to attack was close!
