we finally arrived at Boroboro Village after what felt like forever.
Boroboro Village looked surprised, as I expected they would be, and quickly barricaded themselves inside the village. the warriors quickly take formation and wield their weapons menacingly, while the non-combatants go the other way to evacuate.
I was forced to explain, multiple times to multiple people, that these Treants were here to join us as fellow villagers. they want to stay with us by turning themselves into our house while I protect both the villagers and the Treants.
our conversation was going so badly that Oak Treant finally showed himself with good intentions, but was taken very wrongly to help me explain our terms. of course, his actions put the villagers in an even more panicked state.
Master Hokai was the first person to finally understand what I was trying to achieve. he put away his fear of the foreign Great Beast and their danger just to listen to my whole explanation wholeheartedly. Sometimes I can see Master Hokai as a father figure for everyone in this village. he is such a caring person.
Master Hokai then explains what he understands to the villagers and warriors. of course, there were a lot of villagers and warriors who didn't trust the Treants, especially since their trust in me was still very little. For this, I can only accept what the villagers feel and let time make things right for them.
for now, Oak Treant and his Treants will have to stay on the northern side of the village. it was their temporary location while waiting for the villager's decision. it appears that since my reputation among the villagers suddenly went down, they also felt reluctant to follow my previous idea about re-arranging the village. Master Hokai saved me again this time by saying that he still liked my idea and wished for it to be continued.
Of course, since we cannot 'harvest' wood from the Treants, we cannot make any wooden-based tools or stuff either to help us rebuild the village. The Treants might be able to change their shape into houses and other buildings but villagers still need tools to work.
In this, I decided to volunteer myself in heavy machine construction where I would do all the hard digging and cleaning work while the villagers could take care of the other minor works.
In the meantime, Oak Treant also asks how many houses and buildings the villagers need, because the Treants need time to reshape their bodies based on the villager's need.
I feel happy that the village reconstruction went quite smoothly. The sewer line that I dug works as a rough map for the new village while the villagers slowly deconstructed their old homes.
The process of digging the sewer line takes quite a short time, just a few days of hard work. Then I continue to dig a big hole as waste containers to keep the waste water for further usage.
At this time, Oak Treant informs Master Hokai that his Treants have some dead branches to spare and offers them to the villagers as material for their tools. master Hokai accepted the offer happily and quickly informed the villagers about it. People started to be happy with this development but most remain skeptical about the future cooperation.
No one has ever worked together with two Great Beasts at the same time, and apparently, no one was willing to try it.

Deconstructing houses and buildings appears to be longer than I anticipated as people are still scared about their future. I believe they can see that the Treants were about to finish their reshaping project, they were just unwilling to live IN the Treant's body.
The issue gets even more hectic at night when Oak Treant informs me that the Saber Panda is back. This time there are five of them and they are waiting far in the distance.
Close enough to still watch over us, but still far enough to make us unwilling to come for them.
When I hear about this, I suddenly get a stupid but brilliant idea. I will be hated, A LOT, especially by the villagers but at the same time help them to finish what they are unwilling to do.
I told Master Hokai about my idea and exactly as I expected, Master Hokai scolded me for it.
"Sometimes I don't understand what you are thinking, Lord Yohan.
How could you think of such an idea? "
"Well, I just want our reconstruction to be finished as fast as we can.
Giving the Saber Panda a way to destroy every old building is one of the easiest ways to do it.
I get to kill them slowly, one by one.
I've got to protect the Treants.
The village was 'forced' to be reconstructed.
And by the end of next week, every single one of the villagers will live in their new houses. "
"I understand, Lord Yohan.
But you forget to consider the people's feelings.
Their attachment to their homes is not something you should forget. "
Somehow I cannot give a satisfactory response to that. After this conversation, the best thing I could do was prepare myself as I would have to fight five Saber Pandas simultaneously. not that they are difficult opponents, but five is a lot!
soon enough, morning had finally arrived and the Saber Pandas started to show themselves on the horizon. all five of them bared their teeth menacingly, trying to scare me who stood alone between them and those that I protected.
the Saber Pandas approached me with such a demeanor that I could tell they were sure about their victory even before it even started. I promised myself to prove them wrong.
the Saber Pandas started to spread, taking quite a distance from each other. Spread the attack? such a basic tactic.
the first one to come at me was the one on my far left, followed by the far right. they tried to pincer attack me from the very beginning!
This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.
the one on the left roared at me as if challenging me to a duel. I responded to the attack by running toward the one on the right, leaving the left one confused. the right Saber Panda pounced at me when our distance was close enough.
I grab the Saber Panda's front legs and throw it back toward the left Saber Panda. they both crashed into each other where I left them for now. the other three Saber Pandas rushed at me and pounced at me at the same time, trying to either claw my body or bite me.
i dodge to the left, getting closer to the fallen two Saber Pandas who are still trying to get up. I purposely lead the other three to a place where two already fall and throw each of the three into the fallen duo, leaving them wounded from crashing into each other. Funnily enough, I managed to turn them into a stack tower of Saber Panda.
the Saber Pandas climbed down from each other after a minute of struggling. they now looked very angry at me and I somehow loved it. one by one they pounced at me, some managed to leave a claw wound while others got wounded by my fist or claw.
then the chance came when one of the Saber Pandas tried to bite my right leg. It runs low with its fangs ready and I responded by pulling out my leg. In the same instance, I put my right leg in the place where the Saber Panda was trying to run and managed to leave a deep claw wound on its front leg. the Saber Panda quickly pulled out with difficulty because it now only had three healthy legs.

on the walls of Boroboro Village
Master Hokai is watching Yohan fight with all his might. He claws left and right, pulling punches and kicking hard. his moves leave many wasteful steps, but at the same time remains effective. this made Master Hokai ask himself, has he taught Yohan right?
Yohan has a humanoid body and surely could learn the humanoid battle style. but he is ultimately a Great Beast. He was first a beast before he was a human. despite his compatibility with the human battle style, he was supposed to be a beast fighter.
"It seems that I have failed to teach you, Lord Yohan.
you are born to be a beast, wild and ferocious, and that is what you have to be."
as Master Hokai talks to himself, another person appears from behind him. this person somehow has no presence that Master Hokai can feel but he knows that person is there, standing still as if they are mute.
"Miss Kuidres.
are you interested in our lord?"
"Hokai.
challenger?"
"That is probably true, Miss Kuidres.
we can only ask the Oak Treant later tonight to make sure of that."
"Monsters?"
"ah.. they are way too mighty to even care about us at this edge of the world."
"Subordinate?"
"yeah, some of them might come sooner or later.
Challengers never have their life easy in this world.
can you help me convince our villagers about Lord Yohan's plan?"
"will try."
"Thank you, Miss Kuidres.
I appreciate it a lot."
"artisans?"
"Yeah, I think we should start to gather others.
not just the artisans, but also warriors and villagers.
anyone from around the Great Grassland of the South should gather in one place to fight together."
"hard."
"It will be.
but you know me long enough to know that it won't stop me."
"great."
Kuidres leaves the walls as fast as she appears. Master Hokai chose to remain on his spot to watch his lord and student fighting to fulfill his life mission. His old, weary eyes moved fast with a lot of wisdom and knowledge, trying to make sure he didn't miss even a single hair flip to review it later with his lord.

Booomm!!
I manage to land a heavy fist on one Saber Panda right in the face, leaving it dizzy for a few seconds. In those few seconds, I grabbed another Saber Panda and slammed it down to the ground, paralyzing it for a good five seconds, which I followed with a heavy kick on its back.
the Saber Panda was flying quite far away, with its body bent backward. another Saber Panda managed to latch onto my back, its claw deep in my flesh as it tried to bite me. refusing to surrender myself to luck, i jump with my back facing the ground and let myself fall back first. the Saber Panda on my back tried to escape but failed to do so, resulting in it squishing between my big body and the ground. i can hear a cracked sound from its body.
the other three Saber Pandas rushed to me who were still lying flat on the ground. they clawed me ferociously while i tried to push them away. i manage to grab the leg of one Saber Panda and use it as a living club to smash the others away. Once again I hear a cracked sound from this Saber Panda which i throw into the distance.
i stand up and grab the head of the Saber Panda that i pinned before. With ease, I tighten my hand and crush the Saber Panda head in my hand.
Crunchh!
"Look, you guys have no chance at all!
heheheh."
i said that while showing the Saber Pandas their friends' dead bodies. my action successfully put the other Saber Pandas into a frenzy!
even the paralyzed one due to a broken backbone!
three limping Saber Pandas rushed at me with all their remaining strength in a frenzied state. no more strategic attacks or coordinated attacks, there is only a wild crazy rush to give as much pain as possible. Of course, I wouldn't let them do that!
the first one to get closer to me was the one with a claw wound on its front leg. this one got my straight kick right in its face where it quickly fell unconscious. Another one comes and pounces at me, which i managed to dodge while punching it on its side. and breaking its ribs into pieces. this one also fell unconscious from tremendous pain.
the last one who sees its friend fall one by one quickly becomes terrified and tries to run away. This time I decided to chase after it which took quite some time. in the end, I managed to catch it by the leg that I dislodged. The Saber Panda has no chance to run anymore and I quickly finish it by crushing its head.
"Finally, they are done!"
