It had been some time since the day Dream had embarked on this journey—two months, maybe three, it was hard to say precisely with the time he had spent in the gray wasteland. But one thing was clear: he was enjoying the journey more than ever before.
In the past, his travels had been marked by relentless challenges and obstacles, but now, with his four Battle Maidens by his side, the experience was entirely different. The battles against monsters had become not just a test of his strength but also a thrilling adventure. The presence of his Battle Maidens had added a new dimension to his journey, making it more exciting and rewarding.
Dream had come a long way from the moment he acquired his first Battle Maiden, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and satisfaction in how far he had come. He was determined to continue growing stronger, acquiring more power for himself, and ultimately achieving the goal of theirs of devouring the nine suns and seven moons.
While the path ahead was uncertain, with his loyal companions, he was ready to face whatever challenges awaited him. Speaking of companion, Dream
Dream had not only given names—names that all made reference to the moons to each of his Battle Maidens but also distinct roles that suited their abilities and his combat strategies.
First, there was Luna, the second Valkyrie he had transformed into a Battle Maiden. Dream equipped her with a spear, designating her as the equivalent of the party's spearhead. Luna's role was to lead the charge and engage the enemy head-on with her spear.

Next was Selene, the third Valkyrie to become a Battle Maiden, also armed with a spear. She shared Luna's position as a spearhead, ensuring that their attacks were coordinated and powerful. Together, Luna and Selene formed the vanguard of their formation.

Then came Atlas, the last Battle Maiden Dream had acquired. He entrusted her with the role of a Mixed Attack and Defense Specialist. Atlas had the flexibility to either assist her companions or take a more offensive role, making her a versatile asset to the team.

Finally, there was Nox, the very first Battle Maiden, who held the position of Full Defense Specialist. Nox's primary responsibility was to act as a guardian sentinel, dedicated to protecting and assisting Dream. She was the one who carried him around, allowing Dream to focus on directing the team and utilizing his arcane, pranakinesis, and Odo abilities effectively.

As Dream and his Battle Maidens soared through the verdant valley..
Dream couldn't afford to linger in one spot for too long; the ever-looming possibility of Valkyries descending upon him urged him to keep moving. While he no longer feared them, thanks to the formidable Battle Maidens by his side, he acknowledged the potential for encountering a group of Valkyries that could prove overwhelming.
The strategy was clear: move, defeat monsters along the way, and steadily increase his strength. By doing so, Dream believed he could prepare himself for any challenge the Odo Tree and the Matriarch might send his way.
As they continued their journey, the valley below presented a variety of creatures, some wild and rampaging, others resembling the Sylphdrake, which the system described as enlightened lesser evolutions of dragons. At the mention of "dragon," Dream felt a shiver down his spine.
"I'm starting to see outlines of the end of my journey," he mumbled to himself, contemplating the path ahead. Just when he thought they were making progress, Dream spotted something that made him reconsider. Hovering near a distant mountain corner in the lush valley, he saw a large flock of flying creatures.
"Or not."

Before them, a daunting sight unfolded. Dozens—perhaps even more—of Aerovyrn, winged reptilian creatures bearing a striking resemblance to Sylphdrakes, with the exception of their uniquely crimson scales and large size.
Dream's expression shifted, and he exchanged a glance with his Battle Maidens. The Battle Maidens, Luna, Selene, Atlas, and Nox, remained in formation, ready to respond to Dream's commands, even if it was to send them after the flock up ahead.
As the Aerovyrn flock loomed large in the sky ahead, Dream's Battle Maidens held formation with disciplined precision. Luna, Selene, Atlas, and Nox remained ready, their golden wings glinting in the sunlight, poised to respond to any command issued by Dream. However, Dream was no fool. He recognized that taking on the flock head-on would likely spell their doom.
"We're dead if we try that," he declared, his voice filled with a mixture of caution and determination. "Better not mess with them yet. Later, perhaps."
With that, Dream skillfully guided his Battle Maidens in a different direction, circling around the flock of hovering creatures. He recognized that, for now, discretion was the better part of valor, and the wise choice was to live to fight another day.
For several hours, Dream and his Battle Maidens continued to soar through the expansive green mountainous valley. The breathtaking scenery unfolded below them, a tapestry of lush landscapes and serene vistas. As they flew, Dream couldn't help but appreciate the sheer beauty of the world around him.
However, as they continued their journey, Dream began to consider the need for a brief respite. Flying required a significant amount of Odo energy, and both he and the Battle Maiden needed to replenish their reserves. The idea of landing and resting on solid ground briefly crossed his mind.
Just as he was about to give the command to descend, something in the horizon captured Dream's attention—a distant anomaly that stood out amidst the natural landscape. Intrigued, he shifted his focus away from rest and instead directed his Battle Maiden to investigate the mysterious sight.
In a matter of moments, they reached the location, hovering above it to get a better view. Dream's eyes widened in disbelief as he took in the unexpected sight before him. His voice escaped him in a dumbfounded whisper, "A city...".
