Springing forth from the lifeless remnant of the valkyrie, a third Battle Maiden emerged, ready to accompany Dream on his journey.

A smile emerged on Dream's face. "Welcome to you—Mm, I think I should think of a name to individually call each one of you. I can't really keep referring to the three of you as Maiden Valkyrie. Let me think...Mm."

Dream didn't even manage to come up with an actual name that he noticed; golden threads fluctuated, suggesting that another group of valkyries was closing.

"I guess that can wait; we have another group of valkyries to take care of the girls. Let's get this done. With enough luck, we'll stumble upon another winged valkyrie."

Naturally, being as lucky as he was, Dream did not stumble upon any winged valkyries; instead, what he stumbled upon was a group of two normal valkyries. The battle was easily what could be described as one-sided, with Dream and his Battle Maiden having an airborne and numerical advantage against them.

For a moment, as he was about to activate his Blessing of the Guardian Dragon, Dream considered, finally taking his leave, that perhaps he would be fine with exactly three Battle Maiden, but in that moment he felt the approaching presence of four valkyries.

"Another squad, already? What's with them lately? I've fought two battles already; should I bail here?" Dream cast a glance at the near-lifeless form of the valkyrie at his feet and remained silent for a moment before coming to a decision. "I guess not. I'm not that weak anymore, but I have to deal with them in another way than usual." His gaze lifted from the valkyrie and went over to a cluster of three in the distance.

An idea bloomed in his mind.

Taking the corpse along, Dream and the Maiden Valkyrie flew up to the cluster of trees and finished the valkyrie there, but instead of immediately after absorbing her with Blessing of the Guardian Dragon, he simply left them untouched, on the ground before burying himself along the valkyrie in the ground.

His goal was simple: to take the incoming four valkyries by surprise. By now, Dream was more or less certain that the valkyrie had no way to actually track his presence; they were simply moving by tracking the death of their fellow valkyrie. Today, Dream was full-on intent on using that against them.

And good heaven, did it work?

"Perhaps today isn't such a bad day after a while," Dream thought, locking eyes with a winged valkyrie.

I'll be defying Suraxai's principle of never utilizing more than half of my prana reserve unless certain of obliterating all adversaries.

However, with this, I plan to obliterate most of them with a single strike, so it should be deemed acceptable. In the worst-case scenario, I'll still have my Odo reserves and the Battle Maiden to fall back on.

After completing his task, Dream issued a mental command to his first battle Maiden, who had stayed beside him. She carefully scooped him up and, with a powerful wingbeat, ascended into the sky, carrying Dream in her arms.

While being cradled like a teddy bear might bruise the ego of many, it didn't bother Dream. In fact, he saw it as the most strategic position, allowing him to fully utilize his existing assets. This unique vantage point not only granted Dream the aerial mobility of a valkyrie, offering him the perfect opportunity to unleash elemental attacks, but it also allowed him to use the battle Maiden as a shield against most attacks, whether by using her wings to block incoming strikes or by skillfully maneuvering through the air to evade them.

In addition to these strategic reasons, Dream found genuine enjoyment in being carried around the way he was by the Battle Maiden. Strangely, it evoked a sense of nostalgia in him, and not in a bad way.

Rising up to the sky, Dream watched how well the two Battle Maiden performed against the valkyrie. It was still nowhere near the level to which they would equal roughly the same level, but at least now, in a two-versus-one battle, they were holding up on their own. Dream felt something in his heart; it wasn't pride, just something very close to it.

Meeting the eyes of the valkyrie, whom he knew would make a fine addition to his Battle Maiden, Dream couldn't help but show a smile.

"Well, Miss Valkyrie, I am Dream," he said. "But you can call me BlessingReaver too; it's all fine by me."

The Valkyrie made no comment.

"What? Aren’t you going to give me your name?”

Not only did the valkyrie not answer, she also did something that was not expected of her kind. Without him readying a powerful attack, she turned her back and flew away.

"Flying like that... so reasonable. So un-valkyrie-like. I like that," I heard from behind, accompanied by the rhythmic noise of the impostor pursuing me. I tried to increase my speed, but just as I did, I heard, "I like it, I think I like it, but the thing is I don't think I can simply let you go."

At that moment, I glanced behind me and saw her spear hurtling in my direction. I quickly dove downward to avoid it, but it seemed to be within his prediction, as he immediately ordered, "Go, get them girls."

The Battle Maidens flew after her, with Dream closely following behind.

Oh crap, she’s getting away.

Dream wanted to assist with his pranakinesis, but he was very low on P.P., but he still had that thing to rely on. Summoning a spear, he unleashed a barrage of spears at the valkyrie.

She was left with no other option but to confront them head-on. From that point on, Dream refrained from intervening and instead observed from the sidelines, letting the Battle Maidens handle the valkyrie while absorbing the battle experience, ensuing mental instruction when only absolutely needed.

The battle continued to drag on, and as it did, the valkyrie's resilience began to wane. Seeing that there was nothing else for his Battle Maiden to gain from this fight, Dream finally decided to step in.

"It was an insightful interaction, but you're running out of Odo. I might be a horrible person, but I take no pleasure in torturing more than necessary, so let's finish this."

Calling his Odo forth, Dream manifested, a spear not in his hand but in that of the Battle Maiden carrying him.

As if sensing what he was up to, the valkyrie swiftly turned, spread her wings, and took flight, leaving the scene.

Dream and his Battle Maidens gave her chase, but he put little to no effort into catching up to her; in fact, he let her put some distance between them and her. Dream didn’t want himself or any of his Battle Maidens to be involved in what he was about to unleash.

“I guess that’s about the right distance.”

With Dream failing to accurately time the explosion of the hurled spear as it crossed the distance between him and the valkyrie faster than he anticipated, the spear detonated slightly away from its intended target. Nevertheless, it successfully engulfed the valkyrie in its explosion, causing her to plummet to the ground and crash.

Needless to say, that she was done for.

"Well then, Nameless Valkyrie, your duty ends here—" Dream declared, reaching his hand onto her H.P-less form.

"Your duty as a valkyrie ends here, but our journey together begins now," Dream said, taking a few steps back to admire the new Maiden standing before him. As he did so, his gaze shifted to the northern backdrop, noticing something.

In that moment, Dream, who had been interrupted earlier while contemplating names for each of his battle maidens, finally found an appropriate name for each of the four of them.
