Cael could feel the pressure from this man’s bold tone and stare, which he didn’t feel was possible judging from the character he had shown previously. He’d gone from this cheery old man to this solemn, firm character.
“Of course.” Cael replied, placing down his neo-mocha as he was ready to hear what he knew.
“There was a man that used to live in that building. I was a young man, working down in the fisheries near here and he used to live there. Unlike all those other absorbed rich guys, he had true character, but he was weird, I must tell you.” The man said, laughing as his eyes stared into empty space.
He could tell that he was deep in thought, but his gaze dropped, and he continued.
“Anyway, he started integrating himself into the life here. He even had a deal with the fishery I worked at, so we gave him a bit of our catch every time we’d go out and get the fish, but he then vanished.”
“One day he was here with all of us but then he was gone, and never mentioned again. We had no clue what was going on until these people came to all of us in the fishery.” He explained, with his tone turning darker and more broken as he continued.
“These people with these massive guns rushed into our place and started telling us to never say a word about him. They threatened us with death if we ever came out, they even... they knocked down one of the workers because we talked back.” The man said, taking pauses in his statement.
His eyes were now glued to the table as he explained what was happening, and Cael could see that the painful memories were almost playing out in his mind.
“I’m sorry to hear that, really. You didn’t deserve to be treated in that way.” Cael stated, trying to calm this man down.
From what he was hearing as well, this creator didn’t deserve to be treated in this way. Why were they trying so hard to silence and take him down? Hell, he was probably dead by this point.
“Anyway, before they got to his property I managed to scavenge some things from his home.” He stated, lifting from the table.
“I’ll show you what I got.” The man stated, heading to his staircase.
Cael waited patiently, and was hoping that at least something to do with the next few files. He could hear some deep rummaging from above him and stayed optimistic.
Descending the stairs, he came back with a few files detailing a few things. He placed them on the table, and the first file was some documentation from the Lapra Colony.
It showed an image of what he presumed was the creator. He looked to be rather young, in his fifties and had a decently masculine frame. He could tell that he was lean, but he had a sharp jawline but had crazed eyes.
They were widened, and his face was deadly straight.
“I think that was one of his travel files for him to come here. Don’t believe anything you see there except for his face. I’m sure every single detail about him there is completely fake.” He stated, whilst Cael analysed the document.
[Name: Vaness]
[First Name: Malachai]
[Place of Birth: Oseron, TCP]
[Date of Birth: 04/11/4572]
[Nationality: Soburg]
If this birthdate was right or close to being right, that would make this guy over 100 years old. In the year of 4674, Cael felt taken aback by this date.
“I don’t understand why he would even choose a date so off like that. When I saw him he looked to be in his early fifties, not his seventies.” The man jokingly stated, while pushing forward another document.
“Same here.” Cael stated internally, thinking back to the dream that he was in

There was description of his purchase of the property that was now abandoned. He used the same identity as in the first document, and there were other files that just listed off documentation. However, there was no form of technological device that could hold any system files.
Cael was still more than grateful for this man helping him thus far. Now, he knew he was going in the right direction.
“Thanks for the day. You’ve been incredibly helpful.” Cael stated.
“Don’t worry man. You wanted the truth, so I gave you the truth, that’s all.” He stated, lifting with Cael.
He nodded, shaking the man’s hand with respect.
The man saw him to the door, before Cael left to return to the closest train station. He felt like he had overstayed in this place and would be back soon.
Thud!
The man went behind the door, and then revealed a phone projector. A panel appeared from its translucent screen, and the man had his fingernails in his teeth, as he waited anxiously.
“What do you want?” A deep, bold voice replied.
“Yeah, I want to give you some information on somebody. I sent you his face profile already. He knows about the creator.” He stated.
The call went silent after revealing this.
“Thank you. We’ll take him in as soon as we identify him.” He stated.
“Thanks for doing what is right.” The man finally stated, before declining the call.
After this, the man sighed whilst readjusting his straw hat, clearly distressed.
Cael took his usual train back to the complex and arrived at the dormitory room in the middle of the afternoon. Arriving at this tower, the common room located at the ground floor was filled with relaxing students just conversing and having fun.
Trying to head for his own room, he was met by Vanessa before he could continue his journey.
She had a face of anger, and boldness exuded from her as she stared at him with her piercing blue eyes.
“Where have you been all day?!” She asked, with her arms crossed.
Vanessa looked clearly annoyed and was dressed in the training uniform of this institute. It was a dark grey hue, with white lining across it and the golden emblem of this institute across the left chest area.
“I had to check a place out across the planet. Why?” He asked, confused about her sudden infuriation.
“Well, we’ve been training all day and you’re just slacking off all day? We tried searching for you but found out that you just left after breakfast!” She replied, nearly shouting with her words.
“Sorry, I’m here for training now if you’re still doing that. I really was busy.” Cael insisted, with his arms up by his side.
Vanessa didn’t reply and just scoffed, turning away.
Without even giving Cael another word, she started walking away.
“Come on then! Get ready, we’re in facility 8.” She stated, before walking off.
After preparing himself, Cael arrived at one of the training facilities within the central towers of this institute. Here, there was Friso and Keagan sparring against each other on one of the white platforms. Both warriors were powerful strikers and mainly focused on punching strikes in their battles.
Along with their gargantuan physiques, they resembled super heavyweight boxers with their ruthless shots and musculature.
Keagan was getting caught with more shots from Friso, even though he was slimmer and leaner, but possessed more explosive power. His shots were more for Friso to worry about, allowing him to take more shots in the process of delivering them.
BANG! BANG!
In this facility, they could hear punches just as loud as those coming from the likes of these two brutes. Cael looked around to try and locate its source, and was stunned to find the lean, nimble Emeline at a punching bag.
Her long, scarlet red hair flowed around as she continuously attacked this punching bag ahead of her. Her footwork was excellent, and she’d attack this bag from pretty much all angles. There wasn’t an area of this bag that she couldn’t find a way to attack.
There were a handful other students in the room, but the most intense fighters were Emeline along with the two fighters from Carlo City.
Blaine was on the sidelines, breathing intensely with a white towel across his neck as he had his hands on his knees.
“Oh, this lazy slob’s back, is he?” Blaine asked, without even giving him a glance.
“He says that he was busy. It’s good that he’s here anyway.” Vanessa replied, before taking down the zip on her tracksuit top.
Just throwing it to the side, she revealed her athletic physique, stretching her arms as she prepared to step on the canvas herself.
Cael guiltily took his eyes off her physique in reflex, looking back to the fight.
Beside them, a floating panel showed a timer had ended, then Blaine jumped onto the canvas while signalling for Cael to follow.
Seeing the chance for Cael to face Blaine, he felt like giving himself just a slight advantage. With gears stored up from his sales and fights in the vault, he decided to see what stats he could upgrade here. He had 478 gears as of right now, which was just enough for 4 upgrades.
