Keagan rushed straight past him and hurled forward his gauntlet-enhanced fist.
Throwing a slow but devastating combination of punches, the gorilla seemed a bit more worried about his than Blaine’s.
The strongest of their class, he managed to make the gorilla think twice about his attacks. However, its mentality still resembled that of a beast more than anything. Throwing back several haymakers itself, Keagan was not the swiftest warrior.
He was caught by several swings and Cael decided that now it was time for him to step in. With Keagan’s stubbornness, he felt like he was going to just try and fight fire with fire (against a bot this large, that just wasn’t the right way to go about things).
The bot was bound to weigh hundreds of kilograms and even if they have mana on their side, there were some things that mana just couldn’t let you do.
Cael rushed by his side swiftly and quickly enough so that he wouldn’t met with any resistance and backchat. Much to his pleasure, his procedure was smooth, and he had done just that.
Slipping right into this raging beast’s domain, he knew that an intense assault was on its way. With its mammoth hands already balled up into tight, vibrating fists, they started being hurled at him an instant after.
The beast’s punches were not just powerful but explosive and fast. It would be useless for him to try and evade these strikes with his energy shield.
Staying firm in place and holding the golden energy shield up to the beast, the others watched on incredulously as Cael took this combination of attacks head-on.
Each vehement blow from this gorilla-like beast caused a glowing ring to grow across the shield, and Cael found himself almost losing his footing from the immense force being applied onto him.
However, he remained behind his shield and watched on vigilantly for the perfect chance to strike.
The gorilla, annoyed by his cowardly and infuriating style of battle, sought to end this right here and right now.
Lifting its gargantuan arms above its head, the beast revealed its fangs in a showing of rage. Fuelling the power of its subsequent attack with a roar, it was clear nothing good was going to come out of what was coming.
Even the others seemed slightly bothered by Cael’s intrepidity. However, in his right hand was his trusty baton.
“I hope this works. Wasn’t smart for me to test this for the first time against a beast like this but oh well. It’s only virtual, right?” Cael told himself, as electricity began to crackle and buzz around the baton’s head.
ROAR!
With the beast shooting its arms down, Cael hurled forward his own weapon and caught it clean in its open head.
WHAM!
Swinging through, he managed to force the beast onto its side with a hit. The others, being mainly Keagan and Blaine, had managed to do some numerous times, but they were certainly not expecting this from Cael.
His attack wasn’t taken well by the beast, and it threw back one of its own in quick succession. Falling behind his shield once again, his legs gave right in, and he was launched back as a result of the initial strike.
This gave the others the opportunity to chip in alongside him, though. These warriors were older than the young and rash talents of the Breckenridge family. After being trained for years under Arlo and possibly entering the military in a year or so’s time, military tactics were ingrained into their fighting styles.
As Cael started to fall behind the beast, Friso followed suit. Along with that, the powerful warriors of Vanessa, Keagan and Blaine formed their signature trio to attack from in front. Blaine was situated in the centre, with Vanessa to his left and the towering Keagan stood boldly to his right.

With these five warriors, they simultaneously closed in on the warrior and attacked it from all angles. They all had been training with each other for years on end and knew each other’s abilities.
This allowed them to co-operate rather seamlessly – it was a much smoother experience than Cael had ever imagined.
The fighters continued to battle it out and were starting to deal significant damage to the beast’s. Its unfaltering rage was benefitting it very little, and they could continuously peck at its armour to break it down.
Cael charged a signfiicant amount of power into his baton and landed 3 clean swings, followed up by a downward slash from Friso. Managing to arrive at its internals in one single slash, several bright sparks flew out from the gash in its back.
The robotic bot let out a growl with a digital undertone to its voice, and Keagan threw a sequence of punches at its torso and face. Each punch was incredibly forceful, and the beast was no longer in its best state. Falling onto its knuckles, Blaine followed with three energy blasts that landed perfectly on the target in a row.
Taking the intense impact of each blast, the gorilla ended up flat on its back with a thin layer of hot smoke emitting from its metal skin. Slowly throwing over its body so that it could arrive on its hands, it was already too late. Vanessa thwipped around her daggers with immense speed and graceful swiftness, slashing through its metal armour.
Arriving at the internals with these super-heated blades, sparks continued to burst out from the newly created gash wounds.
With a direct connection to the internals of the creature, Cael saw this as a chance for him to finish it off. His baton chaotically crackled with the power of thunder as he approached the warrior.
Left in such a state, the only thing left to govern itself was the sheer desire for survival. Wildly swinging its arms at Cael, all he had to do was patiently wait behind his trusty energy shield. Stepping back whilst the beast threw its arms forward, the incoming swing even missed his shield.
With its arms all the way down, Cael dashed forward toward its neck and held the dark baton straight toward it. With that, several crackles of lightning soared into the open wounds, causing further damage to the internals present.
The lightning continued to break the beast down, making it shake uncontrollably and malfunction. After a few seconds, the beast was no longer fit to continue and thicker clouds of steam were emanating from its wounds; it had literally been cooked from the inside out.
Falling flat onto the ground, the fight was finally over and the warriors had triumphed against this beast.
“No wonder that thing would be so easy to take down.” Friso confidently stated, throwing his axe back into its strap on his back.
“We’ll need a better challenge if we are to improve.” Blaine then said, cracking his knuckles.
“I recommend that we do 5v5. Some military soldiers play on that mode occasionally. I’m sure we could find a great challenge even here after skill-based matchmaking catches up.” Cael replied, receiving glares like he had not read the room.
These gloaters simply wanted to relish their success, but Cael saw no need to do so; they were here to improve, weren’t they?
Regardless, what followed was another training match. This time, they entered the 5v5 battle mode. Here, they would still be allowed their weapons as it wouldn’t be more like a training match. Instead, this mode was meant to emulate the feeling of battle.
Cael remained using his baton and trusty shield, while the others kept their weaponry as well.
It didn’t take long before they were thrown into their next matches, and they entered a large gladiator-style sand arena.
It was quite vast, and there could be tens of people fighting it out in an area so vast. The stands looked to fit thousands of people, and the ten warriors were stood right in the centre.
One warrior, with the username samurai_cleaver wielding a rugged sword, had a cleanly shaven bald head but looked to be in his twenties with his clear, unwrinkled skin. However, in his eyes, was the fire and evil of a demon. Cael couldn’t help but feel darkness exuding from his presence, and the man activated his helmet shortly after arriving.
Cael was stood ahead of him and decided that this was going to be his opponent from judging the other warriors. There was some brief chatter between them, but they all reorganised themselves so that they would be stood against the fighter that they’d initially engage with.
Cael whipped around his baton then gripped it tightly, allowing an intense charge to flow right through it. He was ready to begin.
With a short countdown ensuing, the fighters rushed straight toward each other as it reached zero. Upon rushing forward, Cael could see that this super-heated blade was hotter than most.
Samurai_cleaver rushed forward with aggressiveness, chucking down his sword. Cael saw no need to try and take risks and dodge that blade. For now, he was going to stay behind his shield. Instead of remaining firm, Cael decided to meet his slashes by pushing his shield forward and into the blades.
This nullified most of the momentum, while giving him time to calculate his movements and analyse his opponent.
Each slash was thrown vehemently and with bloodlust. He cackled in between slashes and put all of his weight into the wild attacks. The bald warrior just continued to hack at his shield, furious that it would not give in.
“Fight back you coward! Hide behind that shield forever and let’s see how long you live for!” Samurai_cleaver taunted, throwing a sideways slash at the shield.
