Chapter 55: Naïve

A small amount of shame crept into Fang, but he said, “I never knew that Kingsley’s daughter was unexpected the same age as us. She’d probably be pretty talented.”

“Naturally!” Blue straightened up and proudly continued. “Scarlett was born with a rare grace – she had talent in seven elements, and not just only that, her level of energy that she was able to reach was at an extremely high state! At the age of only 16, she had mastery over her seven elements at the advanced level, and initially completed the usage of multiple at once. It wasn’t an ordinary amount of talent, it was an insane, super talent! As well, Scarlett’s famous for being attractive!”

While saying this, Blue contemptuously looked at Fang, waiting for his response.

Do you feel frightened, scared, or inferior?

Although the countless praises made Blue feel sick, for some reason, she wanted to satisfy her vanity right now.

“She must truly be a genius!” Fang’s words lit up Blue’s face with a smile, but Fang started to ask, “But, is it true that Scarlett hasn’t chosen to attend a college?”

Blue coughed. “You think a person like her needs to attend a college?”

“Yes! Though she may be Kingsley’s daughter, and have a high amount of talent, that arrogant mentality is extremely silly and naïve!”

“What, silly and naïve?” Blue stared at Fang, slightly enraged, as no one had ever dared to say something like that about her before. “With what qualifications are you basing this on, she’s much stronger than you!”

“I obviously can’t compare with her, and don’t have the qualifications.” Fang smiled. “She might be born with an innate talent, have excellent support from her family, but if she didn’t have this status, her mentality would’ve resulted in nothing! Is getting to the advanced stage the end of the road? To obtain the strongest power, there’s no doubt that you’d have to dedicate your life to get to that peak, and become someone supreme, standing at the top of the world! But Scarlett? She’s been gifted with a huge amount of talent that countless people envy, but she doesn’t understand how to value that and instead does nothing with it. That’s silly and naïve, don’t you think?”

The old lunatics had repeatedly drilled this into Fang – after studying the endless method that they crafted, it would definitely result in some abnormal strength that would’ve satisfied to stop then. Their worries were unnecessary though, since Fang had spent so long practicing without any progress, he treasured every moment of progress he could achieve.

Blue’s eyes opened wide; the words that Fang said were eerily similar to what that old man had said, but more importantly, was so caustic and insensitive. Yet, Blue couldn’t refute the points Fang pointed out, and could only spout on in anger. “You don’t understand, you just don’t understand her!”

With a quick burst of speed, Blue started to walk away.

Bewildered, Fang followed Blue, and after a while asked, “What’s wrong, Blue?”

His roommate didn’t pay any attention to him.

“I just said a couple things about Scarlett…” As if he had realized something, Fang paused. “You…”

Feeling slightly anxious about her outburst, Blue stopped and looked at Fang.

“Are you in love with Scarlett?”

Fang’s words made Blue spurt out a racking cough as she gaped, dumbfounded. “Me, love her? You must be kidding!”

Although she thought highly of herself, she definitely wasn’t in love with herself!

Seeing this stunned state that his roommate was in Fang, he laughed. “It’s alright, with her talent and beauty, a girl like Scarlett would undoubtedly be the ideal woman for a lot of people.”

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

A small amount of comfort came to her heart, as it pounded faster. “Would she be your ideal woman as well?”

“No!”

Without any hesitation, Fang replied, leaving Blue somewhat depressed. She couldn’t help but ask, “Why?”

“Because I’d like a woman who’d be gentle, sympathetic and be full of kindness.” Fang said, thinking of a certain girl in his mind.

Aggressively, Blue pressed on. “How do you know that Scarlett isn’t gentle, sympathetic or without kindness?”

“Simply put, someone as proud as Scarlett would absolutely appear strong and arrogant, how could she possibly be gentle at the same time?” A serious light came into Fang’s eyes as he grasped Blue’s shoulders. “Blue, don’t be blinded. If you have the opportunity to meet with her, you might be greatly disappointed, so you should prepare yourself for that right now… don’t walk away so fast, Blue, I won’t talk about her again…”

---

In the afternoon, amidst the lazy sun, Blue was inside a bathroom, wiping her face. The mirror reflected a face that slowly, yet surely, became more and more delicate.

Anyone would’ve recognized that this person was clearly a girl!

The beauty, with her bewitching eyes and a tender, small mouth would’ve dazed any man. It practically dared, no, invited someone to take a kiss off those cherry lips.

She looked slightly like Blue, but no one would be able to connect this face with his, as the change was so much of a contrast.

No average person would study this special technique that allowed the changing of the facial appearance – it took a lot of time and effort to master, and yet had no impact on any combat capabilities. The only people that were willing to learn it were usually spies, or with a specific goal in mind, that needed to camouflage frequently.

With a single crumple, clothes fell to the ground, and the bandages wrapped around were torn off as the girl contentedly stretched up with her arms.

Ivory flesh was exposed to the air as from top to bottom, curves delightedly expressed themselves freely.

This was Blue’s true appearance.

Kingsley’s favored, spoiled daughter of 16, Scarlett was well known within Minuet City as the beauty that everyone wanted. However, she had mixed into Garden College as a guy, and hearing Fang’s appraisal of her, she couldn’t help but angry. After all, Fang was directly insulting her in front of her face.

Like most girls, she cared deeply about her looks, but if she spent her days as a girl inside the college, she would undeniably be troubled by countless people. It was a sort of suffering to be appearing as a male in this time of her life, so her only respite was at the rare showers and baths she could take.

Looking in the mirror again, Scarlett was caught up in her beauty, but reminded of a certain person’s words, her small mouth curled unsatisfied.

That fellow was really irritating and ignorant, but it can’t be helped as he hasn’t seen me in person. Otherwise, how would he dare to criticize me? He’d probably be confused and struck smitten with me… it’s a pity I can’t show him how I look. I couldn’t stay in the male student dormitory if I revealed that I was a girl, right?

With a sigh, she walked into the booth, and turned on the water. As the hot water rushed down her body, she started to hum as she picked up a sponge.

Thump!

A rapid knocking suddenly resounded throughout the bathroom.
