Taking out the spikes on the back of the Sweetums, Revil starts to prepare to leave the premises of the forest. Sweetums are smaller creatures that usually hide during the day and as he plays during the day in-game, it has been an annoying creature to hunt down.
His backpack was bulging, he had a few entire Sweetums on jars as well as hundreds of spikes. A brewer even taught him how to take out the organ that makes the paralytic substance it secretes out of its spikes. He would send a few for many crafters, so he had to take out many.
After this he would spend some time browsing the forums. He already knew the Class that Gregory would give him, the Brawler Class, thanks to the forums. So maybe there was already information on other Hidden Classes.
Oh, I also have to get some Skills from the Crafter Class.
I need some help too, it was working before, but now just a backpack is not enough. I need some kind of mount or something. I should find something on stables, I’ll ask Elaria if she knows a good one.
Revil showed his results to Elaria, and then gave the samples to the crafters and merchants, notifying them that he would go after Butteries and Spotters, two types of insect creatures, as his next target.
He didn’t know, but thanks to his efforts in-game and in the forums, there were a lot more quests going around, both by NPCs and players needing certain creatures' parts.
Getting back at the Main Guild, he went to the third floor and found a place to sit and browse the forums.
Crafter was the most well known Hidden Class from the ones discovered. Next was Brawler, Performer and the Tamer Classes.
Crafter needed a Profession that made items to turn into it. Brawler you had to go through training with Gregory, which maybe only Revil knew also needed to be amicable with the Guard Captain and he promptly wrote a comment about it.
Performer needed to pay a certain amount of gold to a city Bard or sometimes impress him. Tamer was a quest given by pet shop owners, Breeders and other NPCs that worked with animals and the like.
The first Class he went to find was the Crafter. In the Merchant Guild, he talked with Andrey, the receptionist, and got a few Skills.

Bonus Rarity Acquired
Profession Mastery increased the amount of Professions I could have. Speed increased the speed of my Professions actions. Bonus Rarity was an interesting one, it increased the bonuses you get per rarity.
Next was Performer.
On the forums they had maps of the spots of each confirmed Bard on the main cities.
It was getting late, almost the time he would have to log out, so it was easy to find the bard. He was in a tavern.
The conversation was pretty short.
-Hi excuse me, are you the Bard of Grafted City?
-Of course lad, how can I help you?
-I’d like to buy a few Skills…
Revil ended up not only paying for the Skills, but also for a few pints for the bard, but this was fine, he had the money now.

…
The next day, instead of going hunting and collecting, he went to Elaria to ask about mounts.
-Elaria! Another little help please?
-Haha, of course Revil.
-I need a mount, not really to mount, but to carry stuff.
-I guess no horse, then?
-I don’t mind horses, but how much can they carry?
-I see, with enemies getting more complex and sometimes even bigger and heavier, like the golems, maybe a horse won’t be enough. An Ox?
-I guess so. Do you know where I can get one?
-Of course, let me get you to a Breeder. You’d want one mount that is okay walking around dungeons and the field.
The place was surprisingly, inside the city and soon Revil got to the place and was talking with one of the Breeders, Koga.
-So, that’s basically it, a mount, but not really to mount, but to carry stuff and that I can take to the field and to dungeons.
-Hmmm, I see. If you were a tamer I’d advise you to take a drake, it’s like a four legged flightless dragon. They have great strength, can be used to mount and to battle too. The only problem really is their prices. If you were a Tamer, you could have more than one companion too.
-Is that a Skill?
-Yeah, the Additional Companion Skill.
-I don’t have a Class yet, could I buy it?
-Oh, Yeah it’s one of the basic Skills for Tamer Class, but really if you’re not going to be a Tamer, you shoudn’t get it. It’s really hard to say goodbye to a companion.
-I have a plan, don’t worry!
-Hm, ok… sure. So usually everyone can have one companion, the most common one the horse, but with this Skill you can have a second one and later even more.
Hmmm, having companions would be good. One for carrying stuff and other… to help fight? Do I want something that fights with me? I won’t be able to heal it.
Choices, choices…
-Can any creature be a companion?
-Yup, we of course have trained ones, but if you want to be a tamer you can get Skills to capture your own.
-The only way to capture one is by using that Skill?
-Hmm, I guess you could ask one of us to capture and then transfer it to you, but really, you should have the Skill as a Tamer, it’s almost a must.
- I see, yeah, I just wanted to know really. How much is a drake?
-10 000 gold.
-Oooof, yeah pretty steep the price. Is there a difference between buying and lending?
-Lending? Hmm, I guess I never thought of that, but no, we only sell and buy.
-How about an ox?
-A trained ox would be 50 gold.
-That’s more manageable.
-For an adventure I guess it is, not so much for a farmer hahah Not that there’s a lot of them here.
-I’ll get one then.
I should also go to Minx and ask him to make it an armor and bags with lots of pockets.
-Okay, We need a week to prepare the Ox for you, the type in our breeding place is the Musk Ox. He is very resilient and can carry a lot of weight. Also as we’re in a mild temperature location, we highly recommend shaving his wool, you can sell it for a crafter or use it yourself.
-You guys have the tools to take care of an ox?
-Yeah, the 50 gold comes with a box with everything you need. Except the armor or whatever equipment you want. That you have to find it yourself.
-Don’t worry, I have a plan for that.
-Perfect. Oh, I also want some Skills too!

-Minx, I need some help.
-Anything really!
-I got an ox, and I need some equipment for him, mostly I want some kind of armor, but for carrying things. So bags, pockets, these types of things.
-Ooh, I’d love to do that. Show me the way so I can measure the ox!
I need to name it something.
-I’ll ping on the map for you the place, just talk with Koga, I’ll also tell him to wait for you.
…
50 gold for the ox plus 400 for the armor. Nice.
And I still have some hundreds left.
I should think about what I'm missing now. Let me go to the Main Guild, I'm starting to like the third floor for studying and I can study my status there.
Hmm…
Comparing my status with the base of the guide that group showed me I clearly have much more Skills than your average player, but I lack on damage and even more on defense.
I really need to increase them.
Damage can be increased with time, taking into account my Skills.
Defense…Hmm, defense.
Who knew they would put Class specific and Advanced Class specific Skills in the tutorial, if I knew that I'd have chosen one of the armor ones instead of what I got.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
-Good, I got you here.
-Elaria?
-Remember the merchants you send some of the samples to? One of them asked me to find you.
-Oh, sure, who?
-It’s one of the magical ones, Rametra is her name.
-I think I remember her, she really liked the Golem cores.
A Wizard I think.
-Yup. So go find her when you can.
-I can go now.
-Perfect, do so then.
…
Rametra was one of the many merchants I showed and sent my samples to. A lot of the wizard-like ones liked the golems core.
Rametra’s place was one of the many houses in Grafted City.
I’ve never entered it, but I remember seeing a lot of books lying around.
Knocking on her door, Revil waits for her to answer.
-Yes, yes, coming! There.
She looked like the typical bookworm magic user. Robes, glasses, tired look.
-Hi, it’s Revil, you called?
-Revil, yes! Finally, did you bring more cores?
-No? You asked for me?
-Oh, ooh yeah. I wanted to make a request. You know those golems and cores you brought?
-Yes, pretty recent.
-So, they were not golems, they were elementals and they fall under some of my studies. Because of that, I’d like you to bring to me cores from the other elementals you can find.
-Other elementals?
-Well, the ones you brought were earth elementals. So there must be creatures for the other elements too. Earth, Water, Fire and Wind.
-I see.
-Go on them, I believe in you.
-O-okay.
And that was how I was shooed away.
Elementals huh. Is it the core? Is that what makes an elemental? I should take note of that for future monsters.
He would still have to wait one week for the ox to be ready and the armor for it too.
I guess I’ll just go back to collecting things.
It’s one week, so I think I can collect about 3 creatures. The two insects and the last one, let me look at my guide… Ooh it’s a river monster, despite being called a Hydra, it’s just so because of the many tentacles it possesses.
The hunting went great during the week. Not many crafters liked the insects, except the alchemist, who found uses for the powders they could make.
Now the Hydras.
They were tentacle monsters that lived in shallow rivers. They have very little mobility, but could grab you like nothing else.
Battling against it was annoying to say the least as an unarmed combatant. They would grab his hands and Rivel had to pummel them on the ground or on a tree nearby.
The problem with that is that they would leave a strange dust on dying.
He might have little in Intelligence and Wisdom, but he remembers something that looked like that.
The Golem’s (Elementals) cores.
So he started to rip the tentacles out of some of them.
He had jars with the smashed Hydras. Pots with intact and broken cores. He also collected the liquid that the creature had inside and spilled when its tentacles got ripped.
