I spent a whole week fighting Horn Rabbits.
I made… about 400 gold giving the meat of the Horn Rabbits to the Guild.
I think it's enough for armor.
By this time there were already crafter players milling around the plaza selling their crafts and skills.
Maybe I should find one with fewer people. I don't really want to wait a lot.
Looking for what I wanted I found a lonely crafter sewing leather pouches.
-Hi, excuse me?
-Oh my god! A customer, yes hi!
-H-hi do you take requests?
-Yes, of course! I have leatherworking at Trained 10!
-Perfect! I have all these Horn Rabbit leathers, would you make me a set with it? I know it's a really cheap material, but I really need some armor. Oh and I don’t need the hand armor.
-No worries! Ah, my name is Mink, nice to meet you!
-Nice to meet you, mine's Revil.
-Let's exchange contact so I can send you word of the order.
-Sure, hmm how much would it be?
-Oh yeah, how about this you give me the excess leather and I'll make it for 300 gold. I’ll make a really nice jacket for you!
-Okay! And hmm, do you know a blacksmith? I need some gauntlets.
-Yes! I have a friend that is blacksmithing. Let me tell you how to get to him.
Following his directions I go to a forge where some NPC's and players were working. Most were dwarves but the one I was looking for was a Lizardfolk named Masa.
-Hello?
-Yeah? - a dwarf that was working asked.
-I'm looking for Masa?
-Oi Masa! Someone's here for you!
Suddenly a giant black lizardfolk comes out from a room inside the forge, he seemed to be a bit down.
-H-hi? How can I help you?
A female voice?
-Hmm Mink sent me here, I need some gauntlets.
-Oh oh! A customer, nice! Yes I can make gauntlets, but I can't work with iron yet, is that okay?
-Of course it's okay, how much would it be?
-I can make them for 100 gold as it's only gauntlets.
-That's perfect for me. Here, the gold and my contact.
-Ah ah yes! Thank you!
Doing what I needed to do I decided to go back to the Guild, and study my journals. I'm over the Lost Rabbits dungeon and ready for more.
-He-hello? Revil?
A message from Mink?
-Yes?
-Could you come back? I need to take you measurements, I-I'm sorry I forgot.
-No problem.
…
Now I need to choose the dungeons. Should I go to a more Experience dungeon, or a materials one for gold?
I also need more skills, and the earlier I get them, the earlier they get EXP.
Gold it is then.
I should ask Elaria what she thinks.
Going to the second floor, he found her where she usually is.
-Eladria, hi, how are the rates for materials? I'm thinking of going to a dungeon that gives more expensive ones.
-Well, the higher the level the more expensive, that's for sure, the quality of things just gets better, but if you want a type that we pay more… We really need minerals in general. It's what we use in making houses and buildings in general. It's also why the city looks like this. Every adventurer goes for minerals of all types of qualities.
Huh, interesting.
-But Revil, really, continue with food. This is a famine riddled kingdom. Food is a must. If you're worried about gold, you could try going for vegetables and fruits. No one likes going after plant enemies because of their status effects, you could go and get seeds, fruits, grains and whatever else you find ready to eat.
Damn, she is right.
-Also if it’s within vegetables, fruits and grains pay a lot more than meat. Grains because of the tests they make to find one that likes the land around and fruits because, well, they are a luxury.
-Okay, I'll do that. I'll get a few skills for protection and go.
One more week against rabbits I guess.
It took really just a few days for his orders to get ready, which made his trips to the Lost Rabbits dungeon even faster. But he really wanted more skills, and thought about 2 more from each class to be enough.
Just 700 gold more.
…
He did get one level from this week's trips, and with training and killing, as well as time, he got a few levels on some skills.
The fact he got more used to fighting Rabbits also made him much faster at clearing the dungeon. That and the SKinning and Butchering Skills leveling up turned it all into a few minutes affair.
Level Up: Blunt Mastery Skill (Trained Lv: 7)
Level Up: Unarmed Combat Mastery Skill (Trained Lv: 7)
Level Up: Increase STR Skill (Trained Lv: 9)
Level Up: Increase DEX Skill (Trained Lv: 9)
Level Up: Increase CON Skill (Trained Lv: 9)
.
.
.
All of the first passive skills he got leveled up, and he was almost, finally, seeing their bonus, one more level and CON would get its first bonus.
He also got more defensive, with his new set of Horn Rabbit armor and Copper Gauntlets, he got a very nice boost to his defense. The set came with 4 parts; legs, waist, torso and head, as the hands would be used by the gauntlets. Unfortunately the gauntlets didn’t give any bonus to damage, but these are just the first ones. The next ones will give something. For sure.
Having the money to get more skills and the armor, he went back to the city, not only to get new skills but also to study the journals again and choose his next dungeon, hopefully a plant one.
Looking at all the skills he could buy, he chose, of course, passive ones, and even got to make a little combo with a Fighter and an Acolyte Skill.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to buy more. All the other skills were active, supportive, or the passive Skills didn’t correlate well with my build, like increasing damage with certain weapons, increasing element damage, increasing range of attacks with bows and magic and so on.
With each class having about 15 Skills it’s no wonder you can do some different builds and that isn’t even counting advanced or hidden classes.

Increase HP, Increase MP, as well as both Regenerations are easy to understand, they increase their respective stats. Nocturnal Eyes give me then increase my darkvision. Attack movement lets me attack while moving, I hope it works with melee, but let’s see. Increase Healing I hope it works with regeneration of HP. Status Recuperation gives me a chance to heal a status whenever I heal, another one I hope it works with HP regeneration.
Botany, despite its name is a power passive, it increases my damage against plant monsters. Harvest is like skinning but with a different kind of loot. Discount and Profit are basic Merchant class Skills. Now Deep Wounds is what makes Rogue such a good DPS, it gives a chance that every attack does double damage and this chance doubles when you do critical damage, which is 1.5 times the damage, so giving you a total of 300% damage, amazing. Dodge Out gives you iframes when you roll, although I read on Beta it’s really hard to do it.
Looking through his journal there was one choice of Plant Dungeon at the earliest, but it was Level 14 upwards to 20. So he wasn’t sure he should do it now. Maybe do another dungeon, one with more rooms, maybe a boss to get the blood flowing as they say. Get some levels and then go to the plant dungeon.
Flipping through his journal he found just the one.
A goblin Dungeon. It would be good for him to learn how to fight against humanoid enemies and goblins were a staple in any game.
I have to fight them, it’s goblins, THE rpg monster.
…
It was on his way to leaving the town that he received a message.
-Revil is it?
It’s Masa
-I know we haven’t spoken a lot, but could you do me a favor? Come to the forge so we can talk about it.
Weird, but okay.
-Ok, be right there.
Getting to the forge was easy, he went there two times already.
Masa was at the front waiting for him.
-Revil! Please, would you be my supplier!
She lowered her head when asking that.
What?
-What?
-The truth is, we crafters are having a shortage problem with material, with most going to the Guild, but in fact the major point is, people only want to give to crafters with already high levels in their craft. There are a lot of crafter players who can’t even raise their levels, because they can’t get the materials and not all of us want to go out to kill things.
Is that a lot to take in? Has it been such a long time since the game was released? No, just a few days.
Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator.
Aaah, the beta, the crafters in the beta probably already made suppliers beforehand, or entered a Clan. So the new players don’t have that advantage.
I guess starting in Scarot Kingdom was a bad idea for crafters.
-I.. Don’t mind actually.
-Thank you!
-But what should I bring you?
-Anything metal really, even enemies weapons, I can just remake them. Also minerals like copper, iron or anything like that. Anything metal.
The stipend I have to send to the Guild is actually not that high, I can spend a few days sending things to the Guild and it will be enough for the month. Or maybe I could always do two different dungeons.
-Also.. I’m pretty sure Mink will ask you the same thing, he’s just shy so he hasn’t asked already.
-Hmm, I don’t mind, but it’s gonna be hard. At least I’ll level my skills too.
-Once again, thank you!
-No worries, just don’t expect much, I’m going to a goblin Dungeon now, I’ll see if they have any weapons of metal and bring them here. As for leather, hmm, I doubt goblin skin can be used and also, eww, I don’t want to skin a goblin.
-I’ll talk to Mink then, I’m sure you’ll find something for both of us.
…
Back on the way to the Dungeon, he starts to review the information he has.
So, it’s a village. There are 3 circular spaces connected to each other. The first two have houses and 4 goblins each. The last one has the village head house who is also the Boss.
Apparently the Boss changes every time you enter the Dungeon, the rarest one being the Shaman. The chance of him appearing increases with the average level of the group entering.
It’s a level 5 dungeon so even the shaman won’t be that hard to fight, but I will be going there up until I’m 14 or 15 I think, with the Experience Bonus I get with the journals I think I’ll be able to do that.
The shaman will be my first ranged enemy.
By the time he started to think of strategies to fight against the shaman he was at the dungeon already.
Huh, fast when you go while thinking.
The dungeon was a cave on the side of a mountain. It wasn’t a really tall mountain so it wasn’t really a noted landmark for the city.
The dungeon was empty outside. He is not sure if it’s because it’s a low level Dungeon or if it’s because it’s not well known.
No matter.
He started his Conditioning preparation, not to activate the Skill, but to prepare himself mentally. He’s been fighting really easy opponents, now they will gang up on him and if he’s unlucky, there will be 8 goblins fighting him at the same time.
Let’s go!
The dungeon was abrupt.
You enter it and you’re already at the village and 4 goblins get scared at your arrival.
It takes a few seconds, but soon they are getting armed to fight Revil.
Clubs, knives, sticks and rocks.
Two get close and the other two start to throw things at him.
What the hell, what do I do?! Stop panicking and just kick!
A brawl started.
At first it was a mess of limbs and weapons and Revil was sure he would die, but soon things started to have a rhythm to it all.
A punch here, an attack at the back there. A roundhouse kick at the two close and then a rock passes by his head. An Axe Kick at one of the throwers and then the two close combatants are up again.
The fights wasn’t long, maybe a minute or two. But it felt really long.
The four went down and before he could breath 4 more came, this time from the other part of the Dungeon.
They hear all the yelling and fighting!
Once more a mess of a fight started, but this time it easily and quickly began to have a rhythm.
Maybe that’s why people don’t like this Dungeon, it’s a sprint, not a marathon.
A few minutes later Revil is on the ground breathing heavily.
Thankfully the Boss didn’t appear.
Getting back up and taking deep breaths, he once again looked around the place.
He got the knives out of the goblins, two in total. And looked around the huts that were the goblin houses.
Goblins were a smaller race, getting up to 1.2 meters (about 4 feet), so their huts were also small.
In some of them he found some vegetables he wasn’t sure were edible. Some even had a few ores, although he wasn't sure what metal it was.
Finishing his looting and waiting for his health to top off, he was ready for the Boss.
It had a bigger hut then the other goblins, and it was at the end of the Dungeon on the opposite side of the entrance.
Should I call out to him?
-Hey!
That was enough, a big goblin, fat and strong came out of the hut. He had a bigger club than the others and a mean face.
This fight I'll do slowly. Learn his moveset. Try to dodge. Just nice and easy.
It took 10 min to finish him off.
He got to do everything he came for, a level, metals, skills experience, even some vegetables.
Time to redo it a thousand times!
He kept getting just the big goblin as a Boss, but when he got to level, the shaman started to appear.
He starts the battle with a debuff that decreases my speed and then starts to throw firebolts.
He has a knife but he only uses it when in panic or when I get close.
I should use the firebolts to train the Dodge Out Skill.
With this dungeon his burst speed to attack was developing, now he entered the dungeon ready to pounce on the goblins and sometimes the first group didn't even get to pick their weapons before dying.
This continued up to level 10.
This is when he entered the dungeon and when he was about to go to the Boss he stopped in his tracks.
What is that?
A giant wolf was sleeping beside the hut.
A wolf? No, that’s too muscly for that.
Revil looked in his journal.
Found it. Level 12 Dungeon, a warg cave den. Wargs are bigger and more aggressive than wolves and are usually seen working with humanoid creatures like goblins, hobgoblins and orcs. Their fur is a lot harder than wolves so slashing damage is not recommended.
Good for me.
Wait, “working with humanoid creatures…” so there might be a goblin too, or maybe… A hobgoblin?
I’ll have to be careful.
Should I just go in and go ballistics at the Warg? If I start at him like that maybe I’ll have a better chance.
Or should I wait for the goblinoid? He will probably be weaker than the Warg… I hope so.
Creeping closer to the Warg, Revil was getting into a pouncing stance.
Hit him on the nose, that’s a weak point and hopefully a Deep Wound Skill activation.
Not having the Stealth skill however, showed to be a problem.
The Warg hears him and quickly raises itself from its lying position.
Shit, it’s now or never.
Before it can howl, Revil runs. This time, having the Running Skill proved its worth. Even if little, the boost he has is enough to get close to the creature before seconds passes.
Crack.
A punch to the nose. Deep Wounds didn’t activate, but he was sure it was a critical attack, just looking at the disoriented beast was enough to make sure.
Learning from this very same dungeon, he didn’t stop to look more.
One kick to its legs to bring it down and then as many punches as he could make before the Warg reacts or his partner appears.
Five punches in and the whines of the Warg finally brings a goblin out of the hut.
He learned with the guard captain that the best way to brawl with an opponent is to go all out whenever you see an opening, and only backing off when you need a breather.
Seeing the small goblin stunned with the sight, he left the Warg on the ground and went to punch the other creature in the face. This time, hearing the really loud crack, he knew he activated Deep Wounds.
Despite the preparation and the thinking, the Warg was clearly the biggest threat of this Boss fight. With just one punch, no matter the skills involved, he downed the goblin.
Now, with the goblin down he spaced himself away from the Warg, which was getting itself together and lifting itself up.
The battle passes really quickly. With the Warg bleeding and clearly still stunned, Revil did quick work with it.
Oof, this dungeon really is more of a burst than a long battle one. It’s fun, but I can’t take it as always like this. Without any burst skills, my battles will be more of the long draw ones. This is easy just because it’s low level.
No matter. Time to get my spoils and repeat, repeat and repeat.
