Chapter 7: Huntsman

The moon cast a pale glow over the abandoned warehouse, where the ghouls had taken the Huntsman as their prisoner. L-03, the leader of the team, stood at the edge of the shadows, her violet eyes scanning the building for any signs of movement. Her bunny ears twitched with every sound, alert to any danger.

She turned to her teammates, who were waiting for her signal.

“K-06, you’re up first. Clear the way for us,” L-03 ordered.

K-06 nodded, his body tensing as he prepared to unleash his superhuman strength. He dashed towards the entrance of the warehouse, smashing the door with one punch. He quickly entered the building, taking out any ghouls he encountered with his fists. He heard bones cracking and blood splattering as he delivered his blows.

“B-05, follow him. Use your stealth and intangibility to scout ahead,” L-03 continued.

B-05 nodded, his body faded as he activated his intangibility. He slipped through the cracks in the walls, following K-06’s trail and looking for any hidden enemies. He spotted a few ghouls lurking in the shadows, but they didn’t notice him as he passed through them. He disabled some security cameras and alarms along the way.

“F-04, you’re next. Create some illusions to distract and confuse the ghouls,” L-03 instructed.

F-04 nodded, as she used her illusion power. She made them think that there were giant spiders crawling on them, and that there were sirens and flashing lights outside.

“N-02, you’re last. Use your pyrokinesis to set some fires,” L-03 commanded.

N-02 used her pyrokinesis to set fire to some wooden crates and barrels, creating a wall of flames behind them. She also threw some fireballs at some ghouls who tried to stop them, burning them alive.

L-03 watched as her team executed their roles flawlessly, clearing a path for her to follow. She was proud of them, but she knew they couldn’t afford to be complacent.

She ran towards the chamber where the Huntsman was being held captive.

She reached the chamber door, which was locked with a keypad. She quickly hacked into it with her cybernetic implant, bypassing the security code. She opened the door and entered the chamber.

She saw him lying on a metal table. He looked pale and weak, but he was still breathing. His eyes opened slightly as he sensed her presence.

“Who are you?” he whispered.

“I’m here to kill you,” she said coldly.

She aimed her palm at his head and charged up an energy beam before releasing it, ending his life without hesitation.

She didn’t care about him or his cause. She only cared about completing her mission.

She left his body on the table and walked out of the chamber, meeting up with her team along the way. They had killed all the ghouls in their way, leaving no witnesses behind. They got away from the warehouse, leaving behind a trail of smoke and flames.
