Dr. Stein entered the room where the twins, Ember and Aster, were waiting for their physicals. He had a warm smile on his face, but he couldn't help but feel a little bit nervous. He had been waiting for this moment for a long time, and he was eager to learn more about the twins' unique abilities.
"Hello, Ember and Aster," he said. "I'm so glad to see you both today. How are you feeling?"
"We're doing great, Dr. Stein," Ember said. "We're excited for our physicals."
"Me too," Aster said.
Dr. Stein smiled. "Well, let's get started."
He began by taking the twins' vital signs. Everything was normal, except for their heart rates. They were both beating a little bit faster than usual.
"That's normal," Dr. Stein said. "You're both probably just a little bit nervous."
Next, he checked their eyes and ears. Everything looked good there as well.
"Now," he said, "I'm going to need you to take off your shirts and shoes so I can examine your muscles and joints."
The twins did as they were told. Dr. Stein carefully examined their arms, legs, and backs. He also checked their range of motion.
"Everything looks good here too," he said. "Now, I'm going to need you to lie down on the table so I can check your abdomen and listen to your heart and lungs."
The twins lay down on the table. Dr. Stein gently pressed on their abdomens and listened to their heart and lungs. Everything was normal.
"Now, I'm going to need you to stand up so I can check your reflexes," he said.
The twins stood up. Dr. Stein tested their reflexes in their arms, legs, and knees. Everything was normal.
"Well," Dr. Stein said. "That's about everything. I'm happy to report that you're both perfectly healthy."
"That's great news, Dr. Stein," Ember said.
"Yeah," Aster said.
Dr. Stein smiled. "Well, I'll be here to help you if there are any issues."
"Thank you, Dr. Stein," the twins said.
Dr. Stein then decided to discuss something more serious with the twins.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
"I have some interesting findings from your physicals," he began. "You both possess unique abilities, don't you?"
Ember and Aster exchanged glances before Ember nodded. "Yes, we do."
Dr. Stein's eyes lit up with curiosity. "I suspected as much. You see, it seems that my suspicions were correct. You're capable of using aura."
The twins listened intently, their expressions a mix of surprise and intrigue.
"Ember," Dr. Stein continued, "you seem to have already unlocked your aura ability. You can manipulate it into energy blasts, similar to Vex, although he has more abilities at his disposal. But your potential is remarkable."
Ember's eyes shimmered with excitement. "I never thought I'd hear that from anyone."
Aster, however, looked a bit uncertain. "What about me? I haven't unlocked any abilities yet."
Dr. Stein placed a reassuring hand on Aster's shoulder. "Don't worry, Aster. Aura abilities often manifest differently in individuals. Yours might be related to strength, but we won't know for sure until you grow older."
General Smith was also impressed with how the twins had handled themselves during the recent incident and wanted to reward them. "I've arranged for you both to go to an amusement park," she told them. "And I'd like Theage Loe and the rest of the team to accompany you, just to ensure your safety."
The twins exchanged excited glances, and Ember grinned. "That sounds amazing!"
Meanwhile, Lysander, accompanied by Aurelia, was at his father's airfield, inside one of the vast hangars, awaiting the arrival of Saiya's mother, Camellia. Also present were their respective parents: Joseph Nightshade, the CEO of Delta Strix Drones, and Bruce Regulus, the CEO of Regulus Airlines. Both men were billionaires and held influential positions on the council for the vampire Purebloods.
Rather than a conventional jet, their senses detected a formidable presence approaching. Camellia's arrival was an awe-inspiring sight. She appeared to float through the air, entirely reliant on her immense supernatural power, and the energy she exuded caused those in her vicinity to instinctively kneel in reverence. Camellia Lairein was a millennia-old vampire, one of the most ancient and pureblooded to exist. Throughout her exceptionally long life, she had only borne one child, her 11-year-old daughter who had not yet experienced her awakening, making her exceptionally protective of the young girl.
Camellia touched down gracefully in the hangar, her flowing white hair swaying with the invisible currents. She was tall and elegant, her alabaster skin contrasting with piercing blue eyes. Her attire, a flowing black dress, gracefully highlighted her elegant figure.
"Camellia," Joseph said as he rose to greet her, "It's a pleasure to see you again."
"Joseph," Camellia replied, shaking his hand, "the pleasure is mine."
Turning to Bruce, she extended her hand in greeting. "And Bruce, it's an honor to meet you."
"The honor is mine," Bruce replied with a warm smile.
Camellia then directed her attention to Lysander and Aurelia. "Lysander," she said, her smile now directed at the young man and his companion, "Aurelia. It's wonderful to see you both again."
"We share the sentiment, Camellia," Lysander replied. "Thank you for coming so swiftly."
"Of course," Camellia responded with sincerity. "I would do anything for my daughter."
She shifted her gaze back to Bruce and Joseph. "I'm sure you're both curious as to why I chose to fly here instead of utilizing one of your jets," Camellia explained. "I wished to make a statement, to declare my presence without reservation. I want everyone to understand that I am here, and I am unafraid."
"We fully comprehend," Joseph said. "And we deeply appreciate your support."
"Yes," Bruce added, "we are united in this endeavor."
Camellia nodded with determination. "Very well," she said. "Now, where is my daughter?"
