Josh Hammott must be ”Quit it with that lame intro. Enough is enough.”
“What’s going on, Grim?”
“Don’t call me that, that’s my cousin’s name. He’s an idiot. Just call me G.R., Death, or even Dog Food. That last one gets a laugh outta the kids before they…you know. Huuh…wow…I just depressed myself.”
“Umm…”
“Well, them’s the works. You must be pretty confused, right?”
“Kind of. Dead did say something about taking over that body.”
“Ugh, the names this buttface came up with. A façade that went too far and a skeleton that’s never in the closet. These two get the chance to become a character but not any of the cool ones? This doofus needs to work on his thought process a little more.”
“Well, my question is, how did I meet you before?”
“Because you died, duh. I guess the author made you forget. It’s me! The one and only Grim Reaper, right here.”
“Uhh…right, sorry.”
“Well, this author probably wanted to have some sort of continue fairy in case you got a game over, or something. Not that I care.”
“Why is that?”
“Cause everyone’s dead, that’s why. Time has passed so long in your world, the apocalypse came and went.”
“What happened?”
“Sun blew up.”
“Oh.”
“Anyways, after my job was done, I was moved here. If you ever get the chance to bring your friends and family, I will be the one to help.”
“Okay, cool…wait, we got off somewhere. What about my Skills?”
“Moving right along, eh? Well it seems you got the [Pheromones] Skill as well as the [Sharp Sight] Skill.”
“Ugh…what is being attractive to women good for?”
“Hmm I don’t know. I don’t care, either. Probably cuz I never had that problem, I guess?”
“Great. Just great. These Readers sure have it in for me.”
“Look, kid. You need to approach this differently.”
“What do you mean?”
“People who fight what’s coming to them rarely succeed. What you need to do is adapt to whatever happens. If you open a chest and out pops some poo on a stick, roll with it. Although, I feel like the author should follow these words as well.”
“Will that shitstick thing happen?”
“Probably. Some of the Readers’ might want you to shove it up your sphincter since they want a smut story.”
“Ugh…I’m not doing that.”
“And you can choose not to. My suggestion, go use the training facility for all kinds of random encounters. You can also practice your cool new skills and magic.”
“Okay, I will.”
“Speaking of magic, I will tell you your first spells! You know what, let’s just show you your Status.”
“My what? That’s actually a thing?”
“Mhm. Apparently mana is actually some bacteria thingy. This way, one can read the energies they give off to accurately analyze something. It consumes stuff and then poops it out the exact same as it was, but with special properties. Kinda like Fl©bber, but without the eating and pooping.”
“I don’t get that reference.”
“Haah…You know, the bouncy green goo?”
“???”
“Never mind. Here is your Status.”

“Wow…That’s kind of cool.”
“Yeah, and now that you have [Sharp Sight], you can see this info, too. You can see the fluctuation of magic, temperature, other kinds of energy, and see a broader spectrum as well as seeing further than normal.”
“Cool. So…can I use my [Sharp Sight] to read what these do?”
“Sure, you can.”
“Okay…umm... [Sharp Sight]? WHOA!”
All of a sudden, a gray window appears before Josh.
--
[Charge]: An Active Skill that uses physical capabilities. Usually used by four-legged creatures to ram their opponents. Two-legged creatures who try to emulate the movements ultimately lose some power but gain speed in return.
[Pheromones]: A Toggle Skill that can be turned on or off at will. Usually used to attract mates, this move can also debilitate enemies of the fairer sex. Those who have fallen to this Skill find themselves smitten with the user. Prolonged use is not suggested.
[Sharp Sight]: A strange Skill that is both Active and Passive. The Passive part is the increased range of sight and spectrum. By using the Skill, one can see certain phenomenon that others cannot. This includes Status, energy waves, temperature, and X-Ray vision. The Active part pertains to analyzing the opponents, as this Skill will use all the information available to help. Cost is 10 SP and 10 MP
[Nature’s Magic]: A special magic branch that focuses on the flora surrounding the caster.
[Grow Fast]: This Spell costs 10 MP and speeds up the growth of nearby plants.
[Rainbow Magic]: A special magic that focuses on the refraction of light and the visual spectrum.
[Red Wave]: This Spell costs 25 MP to use. The target’s vision is flooded with red. This has a chance to [Enrage] the enemy, turning them berserk. Can be used on the caster to increase STR and END temporarily.
(Curse of the Night): A curse where, while it is night, the cursed has their Stats lowered by a third and take on a weakened, or |Sealed|, form.
{Titles}: These monikers grant the wielder permanent boosts, as long as the Title is equipped.
(Blessings): When the Gods are happy with an individual, they can grant their follower(s) special abilities or boosts. Besides the Ten Great Gods, there are many minor deities that can also grant power-ups. Likewise, when a God is unhappy, a curse may be placed.

“Dang, that [Rainbow Magic] isn’t that bad. I don’t like the curse, but I will need to practice this further in the training facility."
“Good lad. By the way, are you hungry, ‘cause I’m hungry. I got some chicken nuggets here.”
“Ooh, thanks.”
And with that, the two got acquainted over fast food.
“Why have you been silent this entire time, huh?"
"Not answering, huh…Oh well. It looks like the world is coming along nicely, Josh.”
“Okay, cool.”
“Look forward to strange things, ahead.”
“Uhh…okay.”

Welp. Time for some Questions. We are going to need a lot, so start sending them in. The author will look at ‘em at all, and pick some for the Q/A coming up. Apparently, some good stuff is heading your way! Next time, maybe we can see Josh use his new abilities in person, eh?
