Q/A Pt. 1

Decided that the Q/A will go by fast, this week cuz boy, these characters are getting salty. The fact that a few of these guys are essentially me, I am wondering if I need to pay a visit to a psychiatrist. And probably some anger management courses. Well, I am learning a bit about myself as we go, so no biggie. See you at the end of the chapter!

“Before you moronic milk duds begin clobbering each other, let us answer some of these questions! Well…If we had some questions that is.”

“HA! It looks like your little story doesn’t have many viewers, huh?”

“Dang. One of my stories is doing terrible.”

“No, it’s just not very many people are actually involved. It’s just a story to most people. This entire concept is brand new for most people. I mean, how’s a guide gonna help get this story written?”

“Hmm? What is that supposed to mean?”

“Many of the Readers believe that this story might not actually go anywhere. They probably look at just the polls and titles and say, ‘What a dumb story’. They might not even scroll down to read the actual chapter. Which is ridiculous.”

“So how do we fix it?”

“We have no need to. The polls were because of differing ideas. Josh, here, was the main point. What is Josh’s race? No one is going to ultimately agree, but having you other guys join in fills the gaps.”

“Oh I see. Even if it doesn’t get selected for the main character, it may still be used later in the story?”

“Precisely. The difficult part is stuff that can only be one way. Like the planet being a certain way, or the origin of the MC.”

“Right, me.”

“Correct. But from now on, as long as certain events do not contradict each other, all the Reader has to do is comment. If there do happen to be differing opinions, a poll will be created then. But from now on, those who travel with the MC will have to experience the Reader’s decisions.”

“Okay, so what questions are there?”

“One Reader made a comment on how Josh might have been the poorest student in his grade.”

“Hah? There was at least 300 something kids besides me. How could I have been the worst?”

“They were probably just being sarcastic.”

“So why bring it up?”

“Because it pertains to Josh’s past. Even if it has no relevance in the author’s world, you know, since this is a story, people just love a good backstory.”

“But my past doesn’t really matter.”

“It does if the Readers want to understand you.”

The skeletal host checked his phone, as if he was checking something.

“Hmm, it says here that some people have no questions. Don’t know how I feel about that, but maybe the story is progressing in a good way.”

“That phone connects to the internet?”

“Yep. It allows me to anonymously flame ne’er-do-wells who don’t even read the story.”

“Or maybe the Readers don’t want this to continue.”

“You do realize, that would mean you all would cease to exist, right?”

Everyone around the table began to recede a little. Even Flare bowed her head, as if in thought.

“I thought you two were representations of parts of the author. And you are the author from a different dimension, so to speak. You wouldn’t really disappear, right?”

This time, Dead Skeleton spoke up.

“That is true, but we are just like you. Characters in a story. If the story ends, so do we.”

“And that brings us to the monumental main part, the PURPOSE!”

“What it is we are going to do here?”

“Correct! It’s not a game, if there is no prize! But you guys are, for all intents and purposes, alive here and now! Your previous worlds are gone, and some of you have already started to live the life. So what can we offer you to participate?”

“Servants.”

“Money.”

“Power.”

“My family.”

Flare even sat up and held her bag up high.

“And I’m guessing food?”

Flare began nodding her head up and down.

“Well, each of you have different wants and needs. So how would we fix this? With Quests and Missions!”

“How on earth”

“Ah ah ah! This planet is called Weria! Land of the werebeasts!”

“Weria?”

“Yep. All of its inhabitants belong to any of the Scalies, which holds the [Saurians], the [Fishfolk], and the [Amphibians]. Then there’s Furries, or the [Beastkin], the Flappers, A.K.A. the [Avians], and the miscellaneous race called the [Enigmas]. The rest fall under monsters, beasts, and/or spirits.

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

Each of the four major races has an initial form and then an evolved state. It’s not really Darwin’s evolution, more like Mega Ev©lution from P©Kemon.”

“What’s with those names, they sound more like racial slurs, than actual identifying call outs.”

“That’s because they are racial slurs, you twit.”

“Wow. I don’t like you even more.”

“Ha, says the one who hates the world and all people in it.”

“Yeah, I hate people. But I don’t think I am better than them. I hate myself just as much.”

“Whatever. Moving on, the [Enigmatic] race is the only race where their evolved state changes. These changes can be classified as either [Angelic] or [Demonic]. If they tend towards a more evil path, their form begins to darken and twist. There have been cases of decent [Demons] and horrible [Angels], but it doesn’t happen often.

What this means for you, Lance, is what you do impacts your true form. Keep killing, you might become a [Blood Demon] or something.”

“But all I kill are monsters. Does that mean no matter what I do, it changes me?”

“Yep. The true form shows the state of the heart and mind. If you have a hard time expressing your actual thoughts, the true form exposes them. Kinda like a Pers©na.”

“Video game references aside, this means the rest of us have a Beast form as well?”

“Absolutely. You have one, Dead has one, obviously Josh has one, and even Flare has one.“

“But I thought Flare counted as a monster?”

“When a monster becomes a Calamity level, they gain sentience. Flare’s on her way to becoming a minor deity. How cool is that?”

Josh stares at Flare with uncertain eyes, as if he were holding a bomb. In reply, Flare swished her tail in his face.

“Okay, back to the Missions and Quests. Missions will be something placed by the Readers and author. Quests will be given by the people of Weria. I guess like NPCs.”

“How do these work?”

A gray window flashed before them.

Mission List:

Rank S: Rescue the Princess*

Rank B: Help the [Tyrant King] beat the Gods

Rank B: Stop the [Tyrant King] with the Gods*

Rank C: Become an A Rank adventurer

*Once a Mission or Quest with (*) is completed, it will disappear from the List*

“Okay, then.”

“Okay, then.”

“Okay, then.”

“I think I might have some questions now…”

Hello, again! I hope you guys are actually reading this, I have been getting told the titles of my chapters are weird, and they couldn’t determine which chapter is part of the story. Don’t they know that if the chapter wasn’t necessary to the story, I wouldn’t have put it in? Oh well.

I am going to incorporate a new style whenever I set up a poll. All votes will be documented and organized into a wheel. The Lottery Wheel! This means even if 30 people voted for a big stinkin’ pile of moolah, if even 1 person voted for a big stinkin’ pile of pooh, they have a chance of winning.

All hail the Wheel!

Right, whenever you want something to be placed into the Lottery, just type it in the comment section below and I will record it. I will organize the data into respectable categories that have even more choices.

For example;

Would be the category selected by the Wheel.

Would be the item won from the Lottery.

And don’t ask about the ShitStick. The ShitStick is necessary. The ShitStick is truth. The ShitStick is the way.

Anyone know a good shrink?
