"FUUUUUUUCK, I WAS WRONG! I'M NOT READY. LEAVE ME ALONE."
I scream as I run away from two of the Acidic Mutant Centipedes. Everything was going fine as I walked through the woods again. I heard the clicking from the trees and got ready for a battle. Except it was two of them this time. So I took off in the opposite direction.
The stats increases seem to affect me, I've been running for a while, and I'm not gasping for air. It's not like I'm suddenly Superman or anything, but I'm better than before.
I take a quick look behind me and see they're still snaking along the ground. I can see the area where my shed is up ahead, so I push through the little bit of pain to sprint into the clearing. Quickly turning around, I open the hedge clippers and ready myself for battle, keeping the blades pointed in front of me. The two bugs don't even stop. They just both charge at me.
Fuck, I thought only one would charge. I shove the hedge clippers into the face of the first one and close it quickly, killing it. Ripping the clippers out of its face, I try to dodge the second one but its pincer slices my forearm. The wound starts bleeding, but I don't have time to worry about that.
Quickly shuffling back to create some distance, I close the clippers and switch to holding it one-handed. The cut on my arm has started burning, and I don't even have a second to look at it. The creature launches itself at me, and I smash the clippers downward onto it. The bug hits the ground with a squelch. The fight isn't over yet, so I walk over to the first one and start smashing it into pieces as it starts to reanimate.
"I LEARNED MY LESSON THE FIRST TIME."
I then finish the second one off and look around for other monsters. I am straining my ears for the clicking sounds. Hearing nothing, I can focus on my arm, which doesn't look great and is bright red from the acidic spit of the bug. I don't have any water on me, so I wipe my arm off onto the ground.
"ARRGH FUCK, I'M SO STUPID. OF COURSE, ITS SPIT WOULD BE ACID AS WELL"
Who would've thought rubbing an open wound that might have acid in it into the ground would make it hurt more. Certainly not me. I need to get to the shed to wash this out. I wave away the blue screen and pick up the clippers as I make my way back to the shed.
Once I am back inside with the door secured, I finally look at my arm. It's still burning, but it seems like the dirt has mixed with the blood in the cut and congealed into a disgusting muddy mixture. I open up one of the water bottles and slowly try rinsing the wound out. The burning worsens, but I bite my tongue and power through the pain. I pour a little, then shake my arm to try and get the muddy blood clumps out and just repeat the process over and over till it's mud-free.
I'm going to need a bandage of some sort, and unfortunately, there isn't a first aid kit in here. Well, my shirt was already basically ruined by the acid, so I guess I can use that. I rip it up into strips and wrap the wound up until it's covered. Hopefully, my new body will heal faster. Looking at my status, I see I lost 30 health in that fight, meaning it'll take one and a half hours till I'm back to full health again. While I'm waiting, I bring up the blue screen from earlier.

Wait, is that all it's going to tell me? I just have to pick one of them based on a single sentence and have no idea what the abilities even do. Grove Guardian is out because it's Aura-based, and my stats are more inclined towards mana. Both of the other classes have Summon Familiar as a starting spell. If I’m honest with myself, this isn't a tough choice. If the last two days have taught me anything, it's that I'm not great at fighting. I'm all for it if I can have those bugs fight for me. I mentally select Necromancer and wait for some sort of incredible pain like before, but nothing happens. Then suddenly, like a light turning on in a dark room, I feel something inside me. Concentrating, I can sense two essences inside of me twirling and coiling around each other. Both are ethereal, but one seems denser, for lack of a better word. I think these essences are Mana and Aura, with Mana being the denser one. I can't get them to do anything regardless of what I attempt, so I call up my status to check what changes might have occurred from receiving a class.

I try to focus on the spells to try and get more information on what tier one means but get nothing. I'll go ahead and assume that whatever is in brackets is the spell's rarity. The only issue is what that means. Is it in regards to me or everybody? I peer outside my shed and see that it's getting dark out. I guess I lost track of time. I've been passing out every day, so I didn't even notice the dungeon had a day/night cycle. Well, this place is scary as shit during the day, so I am not going out there when it's dark.
I put my now dry hoodie on and attempt to get comfortable on the floor. I unwrap another granola and take a couple of sips of water. I could try out my spells, but I'll leave that and my stat points for tomorrow morning. I’m so tired that I fall asleep as soon as I put my arm under my head.
