Where was I when the apocalypse happened? People have all sorts of answers to this basic question. They’ll tell you how they were at the mall when minotaurs attacked, or at school when goblins invaded their classroom. Well for me it was the graveyard. I was visiting my parents' graves as I do every day. I sit down in front of their graves and tell them all about my day and what was going on. This was a habit I developed after realizing I had no one in my life I could really talk to. Today was like every other day when all of a sudden a blue screen popped up in my vision.
Hello Earthlings. Congratulations on your world becoming saturated enough with mana that you may now have access to the system. You have thirty seconds remaining until your world will be populated with hostile races. But worry not earthlings for if you happen to defeat these monsters in combat you will gain experience which you can use to strengthen yourselves.
WARNING! Earthlings, I would suggest discarding your previous worldview and ideas. When the thirty seconds are up all technology will cease to work. Now, remember have fun and try to survive.
What? Wait that’s not real right? Just as I think this another blue screen appears and starts counting down from thirty.

As soon as it hit one everything changed. I heard crunching sounds as zombies and skeletons used their barely flesh covered hands to pull themselves out of the ground. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was terrified. I looked around as I tried to find a place to hide. I spotted the groundskeepers shed and I ran for it. Skeletons and zombies then began to notice me as I ran and started to slowly chase after me. I got to the shed and immediately shut myself inside. Luckily for me, there was a lock on the door. I bolted it shut and tried to remain as quiet as possible. I could hear the click-clacking of bones and the groaning of zombies outside the doors. Then I heard a noise I feared more than anything. The undead starting banging on my door. I guess they had heard me. They banged on the door but couldn’t seem to get in. It felt like hours as they angrily groaned outside the door. I crawled away from the door and looked at my surroundings. There was a desk with a chair and a cabinet in the corner. There was also a mini-fridge next to the desk. I started pushing the desk against the door. I began hyperventilating as the banging sounds got louder and louder. Then a bony hand burst through the door. That’s when this became more than I could handle and I passed out due to terror.
I woke up, later on, unaware of how much time had passed with a blue screen in my face.
Due to the increased death energy in the air and the large number of undead type creatures in the vicinity, the surrounding area has become a dungeon. Dungeons are created when enough mana and monsters pool together in an area.
Hemsworth Graveyard has now been renamed to Dungeon of Lost Souls.
WARNING! Due to the dungeon’s rating recommended level is 50+. Be wary challenger for time works differently in dungeons.

As I finished reading the blue screens I began to slowly calm down. It seemed like the undead outside had given up on trying to get me. My stomach then rumbled, I don’t know how long I had been out for but I was starving. I walked over to the mini-fridge and opened it, inside it was some water bottles and granola bars. I broke off a piece of granola and chowed down on it, it was apple raisin flavored, not my favorite but it would do. I then drank a little bit of water. After my hunger and thirst had been quenched I started to explore around the room I was stuck in.
I walked over to the cabinet and opened it up. Inside was a backpack, a shovel, and a bucket. I grabbed the backpack and filled it with the rest of the water bottles and granola bars. Then I grabbed the shovel; it was time to leave the shed. I moved the desk out of the way and peered out of the hole in the door that the skeleton had made. I couldn’t see any of the undead around so I unlocked the door and headed out into the graveyard dungeon.
The first thing I noticed about the graveyard was that it had changed greatly, it had expanded miles in every direction. I could see headstones and even some building spread out around me. I looked up to the sky and it was completely black, there were no stars or moon in the sky it was just pure blackness. The nearby metal fence that surrounded the graveyard had changed as well. It was now about fifty feet tall. Looks like I’m not getting out of here by climbing out. Seeing that the graveyard had changed I had no idea where the exit now was.
I decided to head over to the nearest building. It looked gothic with a crumbling rock wall surrounding it. I stumbled over the wall gripping my shovel ready to attack the first thing I saw. As I made my way to the door I began to hear some groaning. I pushed open the rotting door and came face to face with a zombie. Finally being up close to one of these things I became painfully aware of how bad smelling rotten flesh was. I became extremely nauseous but I held it in. The zombie slowly clambered over towards me. You’d think I’d be as terrified as I was earlier but after seeing how slowly it was moving my fear was washed away. I ran towards it and just as I got into its face, it raised its arms to grab me and I dodged to the side swinging my shovel turned battleax right into the head of the zombie. It made a thwunk sound as it got lodged in the zombie’s skull. Brain matter and pus began to spill out of the zombie as it fell to the ground with a thud.
As I began to celebrate my victory I found myself pausing. Didn’t the system say that I would get experience for killing things? Then why didn’t I level up or whatever? It said the recommended level for this dungeon was fifty plus so shouldn’t the monsters give experience befitting of their level? As I stood there pondering all these things the zombie slowly crawled over to me and before I even noticed it the zombie had taken a bite out of my ankle through my pants. I screamed in pain and ripped my leg out of the zombie’s mouth. I kicked the zombie as hard as I could in the head caving its skull in a little bit. It was still groaning so I grabbed my shovel and began slamming it into the zombie’s head until nothing was left but a mushy mess of a head. I kept beating its body with my shovel until it was dented in and covered in zombie juices. Then I heard a ding and a blue box appeared.

Congratulations to Host for reaching level 5. The host may now select a class.
Due to host absorbing copious amounts of death energy special classes available for selection.
Classes available for host:
Dark Paladin (Exotic): Dark Paladins are adept at casting curses and hexes to buff their allies and debuff their enemies. Grants +3 INT, +4 PERC and +3 WIS per level Necromancer (Exotic): Necromancers are one-man armies capable of summoning all manners of undead and dark creatures to do their bidding. Grants +3 INT, +2 WILL and +5 CTRL per level Shadow Berserker (Exotic): Shadow Berserkers are masters of two-handed weapons and close combat. Grants +3 STR, +2 END and +5 VIT per level
Wow, that’s a lot to take in. I wanted to check out what my stats were but it seemed I had to pick my class before I would be able to allocate stats or see my status. After thinking about how scared I was after fighting the zombie I realized that the Shadow Berserker was a no go. That left the Dark Paladin and the Necromancer. Upon further consideration, Dark Paladin was also not very viable considering I had no allies with which to buff, so that left me with the Necromancer class.
Has the host made a decision regarding their class? All host has to do to select a class is to say which one they would like to choose.
“Necromancer”
And then the pain came. My body felt like it was on fire and it hurt like hell. I fell to the ground convulsing in pain until I finally passed out in the house I had killed the zombie in.
