Chapter 19 (OLD)

We had been steadily increasing everyone’s levels over the next several weeks in preparation for the next mini-boss. For me, it was taking literal days just to level up even once. Milo had increased his level to 37 and got his new class skill; Die For The Cause. It allowed him to infuse one of his “soldiers”, aka The Horde, with mana turning them into a mana-bomb. He told me he can only use it every two hours due to the high mana cost of 200. I was very surprised he could handle that kind of mana cost. Xeaos’ level had skyrocketed due to him basically being power leveled. He was now at level 25 and he got his first class-skill which was Armor Of Thorns. It basically hurt anything that made contact with Xeaos, lasting a minute and costing him 40 mana. I was so curious about what their stats were like I finally asked them.

“Hey guys, I don’t know if this a taboo or not but what are your stats like?”

“It’s not taboo at all, My Lord. And I am more than happy to tell you my stats.” Milo answered.

“Same here, I don’t mind at all. Try not to be too surprised though, I have a feeling that my stats and yours will be quite different.” Xeaos added.

“Share Status,” they said in unison.

As soon as they said that both of their stat sheets appeared in my view just like my own would.

Name: Milo Dagobert Age: ??? Sex: Male Race: Undead Level: 37 Class: Commander Buffs: None Debuffs: None Health: 150/150 Mana: 240/240 Health Regen: 13 Health Per Hour Mana Regen: 106 Mana Per Hour STR 10 INT 48 WIS 106 PERC 108 VIT 30 END 13 AGI 11 DEX 11 WILL 1 CTRL 11

Good golly, Miss Molly. HE HAS 106 MANA REGEN? That's like triple mine. His perception also shits on mine as well. Other than those two stats however he is much more well rounded than me. Then again he has to be. He’s a commander meaning sometimes he’ll be leading the charge and other times he will have to be at the back. Still, I now see why he can observe the battlefield and be able to understand everything so well with that perception stat.

Then I took a look at Xeaos’ status and I damn near threw up.

Name: Xeaos Age: ??? Sex: Male Race: Golemantic Construct Level: 25 Class: Dark Protector Buffs: None Debuffs: None Health: 525/625 (100 in use) Mana: 10/10 Health Regen: 65 Health Per Hour Mana Regen: 1 Mana Per Hour STR 63   INT 2 WIS 1 PERC 1 VIT 125 END 65 AGI 40 DEX 40 WILL 1 CTRL 1

WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT HEALTH STAT? His physical stats all completely overwhelm mine. I know I’m a mage but still, it would take me a long time if I was to try to take on Xeaos as he is now. Another thing is his race. I thought it would just say undead like Milos but his race is Golemantic Construct which must be due to the fact I used a golem core to house his soul and made him a body myself.

I’m just glad these two are on my side now. With Milo’s excellent command of The Horde and his perception, nothing gets away from him and Xeaos is quite literally a monster.

“Wow, you guys sure have some different stats compared to me,” I said while chuckling awkwardly.

“Why that’s only right, My Lord, seeing as both Xeaos and I fulfill different roles in this little team of ours. Xeaos is our tank and is responsible for taking out potential threats before they can ever get to you and my job is to see those threats before they ever get to him.”

“Exactly what he said. I’m here to protect you and get rid of any obstacles that may get in your way.”

Another thing that had resulted from all of our fighting the last couple of weeks was that I now had a surplus of soul energy with nothing to spend it on. Mostly due to not having any new minions to make. So I decided to finally do something that had been ruminating in my head for the longest time; I needed a new arm. I started with using the bones we had gathered a while ago to make Xeaos. I had a ton of them leftover from that just laying about in a pile in the corner of the room. I was missing my arm from pretty much the shoulder down. My shoulder was still there but all that remained of my once glorious right arm was a minuscule lump I wouldn’t even call a nub. So I got to work. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to do so I began my task of Bone Bending all the parts I would need for this.

Minutes turned into hours as I worked tirelessly on my new arm. It had to be perfect because what I was doing was going to be both dangerous and awesome and I didn’t know if I could change it once it was attached to me without hurting myself. It took me days to finish up the arm and put all the last minor details. When it was done I looked at it with awe.

What I had done first was recreate to the best of my knowledge all of the bones in the human arm and hand. I worked on strengthening them and making them more flexible like I had done with Xeaos’ body but without all the sharp pointy bits. Then I made a hollow arm, almost like a gauntlet with which the bone arm would go it. After I had put the bone arm inside of the other one I had a nice shiny bone prosthetic. The only problem I could see was that this thing was freaky looking. It reminded me of that white arm that one Spanish guy from the anime bleach had. It was the same shape as my other arm and I didn’t add any spikes or anything like that because I just wanted to use it as a regular old arm. The only weird thing about it was at the end of the arm where the humerus ended was a spike. My plan was a little crazy so I didn’t tell Xeaos or Milo about it. I waited till they had left to patrol. My plan was to shove the spike into my shoulder and then use my connection to it to bone bend the joints in my shoulder to the new arm.

Alright, Greg, you got this. Don’t chicken out now man. YOU CAN DO THIS. HERE GOES NOTHING.

I jammed the arm into my socked and immediately poured all my mana into Bone Bending the connection. It hurt like a motherfucker. I screamed out in pain and Milo, Vaeda. and Xeaos burst into the room ready for combat to find me stabbing my new arm into myself. I waved them away as my shoulder began to bleed out. I grabbed some cloth we had leftover from the Skeletal Mages we had killed and began using it to soak up some of the blood. Once I had finished making the connection I let go of my right bone arm and stood up. It didn’t fall off. Step one complete. Now on to step two which is to use Imbue Soul on it. I activated Imbue Soul and a golden wisp was formed in my hand. I pushed the wisp into the bone arm while praying to whatever god was listening for this to work. The wisp sunk into the bone and it began to glow slightly. The outer casing of the arm was almost translucent and I could see the energy infusing into the bones underneath before then soaking into the casing as well. The arm seemed almost lifelike. The next thing I did was form a couple of threads of mana and send them from my core, through my body into the arm. I would hate to not be able to use mana with this arm after all. Once that was all said and done I tried the first test. I attempted to clench my fist. Slowly but surely the finger began to move as if they weren’t made of solid bone.

“IT WORKED, HAHAHA IT FUCKING WORKED!!!!.”I yelled as I moved the hand and arm.

“But how? I’m actually flabberghasted it worked Greg. Don’t get me wrong the system can help make miracles possible but this seemed impossible” Vaeda said.

“How? With FUCKING MAGIC of course. GOD I LOVE MAGIC!”

I did it. With the help of magic, I was able to make myself a new arm and thanks to Imbue Soul I was able to bring that arm to life. I can feel stuff with this arm just like with my old one, even though science says it should be impossible. Then the blue screen appeared.

Congratulations to the host for a [Rare] ranked item.

Due to the host replacing his lost arm, the host has regained previously lost Vitality.

Yes, I got my health back as well. This is great news. Now I’m just going to lay down and take a nap I’m exhausted.
