As Isol headed towards the fourth floor, he thought about the first lesson he was gonna have with his master, Ruthsbane. He truly didn't have any feelings for this master and apprentice relationship as they were clearly just using each other.
As Isol knocked on his door, it only took a few minutes for the door to slowly open. Walking inside the room he saw Ruthsbane in his usual black attire.
"Kid, you probably want to know the secrets to becoming a tier 1 wizard right?"
Surprised at Ruthsbane frankness, Isol bowed towards him and said,
"Yes master."
As if he was proud of his guess Ruthsbane smirked.
"Actually it's not that hard to advance. All you need to do is create your own spell that could be considered of tier 1 power and just engrave the formula for spell inside your heart."
"This can be the easiest and hardest step of any apprentices, any abnormal freaks can easily create their own spells. While the more normal ones, usually takes months just to create their own first spell, and those that can't are doomed to be tier 1 apprentices for the rest of their lives."
Isol was shocked and amazed by this new found knowledge. It wasn't like those power up anime and novels he had read and watched. He had to create his own spells? Also what was determining whether it was truly of tier 1 quality or not? He thought he had to go through some sort of ritual after he reached the peak of being an apprentice.
"Master, what determines if the spell you created is truly worthy of being tier 1?"
"I can't explain it to you, but all you need to understand is that, when you have created the spell. You'll know if it is or not, almost as if the world was accepting and verifying it."
"Anyways is that all the questions you have?"
"No master."
"Then you can scram, I still have to tame and study that rock dragon."

As Isol headed back towards his room, he contemplated what spell he should create. He technically had already created his own spell, if it could be called that, but it definitely was not of tier 1 quality. He also had to grave the formula of the spell into his heart, which Ruthsbane didn't explain, but he assumed just like how spells had some sort of formula you needed to know and understand before you can use it. Instead of engraving the formula on paper the material this time would be his heart.
"What do all great protagonists have that I don't have?"
As he looked through his memories of all the great figures like Luffy, Ichigo, and Goku from the big 3. He suddenly had an epiphany. As he started to laugh he finally figured it out.
"Hahaha, how have I not figured it out yet? All great protagonists must have some sort of events that will help them in their crisis. Just like Luffy unlocking gear 2 during his fight, what if I can force random events that can help when I'm in danger?"
"The spell will be called Deus Ex Machina, any incidents that I'm in, some sort of solution will arrive somehow."
"With this template of my first created spell, I just need to understand how to make the spell now."
As he arrived back in the room he pondered, but he still didn't come back with any clues on how to mobilize the power of luck to save him. As he was tired he meditated, meditation had already replaced his need for sleep. It can actually be said that meditation was a form of sleep for him by now.
Only until he heard the knocking of the door by the golem did he wake up from his trance. When he took the items from the golem, he stared at the words on the body of the golem. Most alchemical creations need to have some sort of body, and that body can only be awoken with runes, runes were basically elemental particles that became condensed enough until it turned solid. Using those condensed elemental particles, it was used to awaken the alchemical creations, by sacrificing the energy which were the runes.
"Why haven't I thought of condensing luck particles? I'm so stupid, clearly they're the same as the rest of the elemental particles, its just that people can't see it so they will never be able to condense it."
"If I can condense the luck particles on my body and use it as a sacrifice to the world, then like an equivalent exchange the world will in return help me out."
"I don't know if its feasible but this is the best plan I currently have so the best I can do is try to see the end of it."
Throwing the items from the golems onto the table, Isol tried to condense the luck particles on his body for the first time. The first time he tried to do it, the luck particles were like fishes in a very expansive net, there were still holes that they could leak through.
He could only do his best to keep making the holes smaller and smaller until they couldn't leak through. Only until he accomplished that step could he move onto the next step. Which was to somehow use them as sacrifices to the world.
He didn't understand how the world will accept his sacrifice, or how to even sacrifice it to the world in the first place, but each step will eventually take him to what he desire, as long as he continued to research it.
