Isol has been in this new world for 5 years now. He was not a native of this world, and on the first day transported into this world, he couldn't understand the language spoken by the people.
He was transported into a small town, where an old couple took care of him as they took pity on him and wanted to take care of a child as they couldn't bear one.
He was only 14 when he was transported and he couldn't believe the unlucky fate that just occurred to him. He didn't have any desire to be isekai to another world as his family loved him, and he was stranded in this new world by himself.
The only thing he could think of when he was transported was about his family and how much they must be worried about him.
After getting rid of the slump of being isekai, he spent 2 years learning the language of the this new world and learning about the geography of the territory he was in.
The small town was in the territory of the Sleeping Giants, it was named Sleeping Giants because the wizards of this world made a pact with the royal family of the Giants to guard the territory for them while they slept.
Giants loved to sleep so they agreed to the deal and in return if the wizards ever needed their help they would wake up to help them fight against any invaders.
Isol's third year of being in this new world consisted of being tested if he had any magical affinity. One of the powers near the small town sends out their apprentices and tier 1 wizards to test for children with magical affinity.
He was 17 at that point they tested him so he didn't know if he could be considered a child at that point, but they tested him and he was found to have a magical affinity.
Unlike the novels that he read where there was a talent for magical affinity it did not apply to wizards. Wizards specialized in studying, and all you needed to do was to be able to manipulate some form of magic and you would be good.

The only weird thing Isol saw during the test for magical affinity was the yellow particles that hung around everybody. He wanted to ask if the other wizards saw the same thing as him, but afraid if it was a secret only he could see he decided not to talk about it.
Now 2 years after the whole ordeal Isol has been living inside a wizard tower with other people close to his age. He finally had a grasp of what the yellow particles around everyone's bodies were. It was the manifestation of their luck.
He noticed that some of the apprentices had higher luck than some of the wizards while, some of them had lower luck. He didn't know if luck could be used to decide a person's future threshold, but in this magical world, lucky opportunities existed and it only depended on one's luck to get them.
There were stories of some small apprentice accidentally stumbling into a tier 5 wizard's inheritance and making it big.
Isol's luck was weird maybe it was because he was not a resident of this world but he literally had no luck. This was weird because some of the mortals that he observed had luck too, even if it was small compared to the apprentices.
This was also why Isol thought he could observe luck, because luck is a random manifestation of the world, most people couldn't observe it and manipulate it, but because he wasn't of this world he wasn't bound to such rules.
After 2 years of hard studying in the wizard tower he finally created a skill if it could barely be called one, to basically make him his body a magnet that attracted the luck particles floating in the air.
He had no idea why there were luck particles in the air but he reasoned that it must be because of the prosperity of this region, and if it was declining then there would be less particles in the air.
On his first attempt of the skill, it did nothing and he consumed his mana trying to attract them.
On his second attempt, the particles moved a little bit closer to him but his mana was insufficient still.
On his third attempt, he attracted 5 luck particles into his body. As they entered his body he felt a warmth that he hadn't felt in a long time, almost as if he was back in the womb.
As luck circulated into his body he used his eyes to observe himself in the mirror, and he saw a teen boy that just reached 19 years of age with black messy hair and a dim golden outline around his body.
His first skill worked, completing his first step of creating a legacy not founded before in this magical world. For the first time in this new world he smiled feeling proud of his accomplishment, before overexertion of his mana put him to rest.
