Demon groomed herself mildly frustrated that she kept finding white fluff tangled in her fur and patches of oil. She ignored the man even as she listened as he got into the rain box and enclosing himself behind the curtain. She continued to ignore him as he sighed to himself and muttered under his breath. But she could no longer ignore him when he began laughing. What was so funny? Turning she wiggled her whiskers in annoyance at the steam billowing in the air. It made her feel so heavy. She would totally need to groom again after this but... Glancing quickly at the hallway through the open slit between the door and the wall. She meowed softly in refusal. She didn’t want to go back into the hallway. Not alone at least. It was weird. She never had a problem being alone before but something about the man made her want to be close. Or maybe it was just the after affects of the heaven. Either way Demon was now just curious. She wanted to no. No, that was wrong. She needed to know what the man was doing in the rain box. So plotting her path carefully Demon made the short jump from the cabinet to the toilet, to the floor where she carefully stalked over to the rain box and using her well practiced and developed skill crawl walked over closer and closer. Pausing when the shadow cast by the man in the rain box moved. She stalked ever closer until she was right next to the curtain. Carefully and slowly ready to run at the moments notice Demon pawed the curtain. Softly and gently until she felt comfortable handling it. Then finding that there was a small gap between the wall and the shower curtain she pawed it aside and slipped her head through where she found another curtain blocking her forward path. Jumping up she found herself in a corridor of the likes she had never before witnessed. It swayed gently from the splashes of water hitting it. It was white with shadows and smelled wet. Put she was dry even her paws where dry. Walking down the path way she could hear the man on the other side but was still unable to get to him. That was alright for now. She was thoroughly entertained by the shadows that passed on the inside curtain she paced beside it being careful to maintain her balance. She liked it here it was nice. She would make a point to visit this space again sometime. For now though the shadow beckoned to her. Moving this way and that. It reminded her of the birds she used to hunt and kill. Birds always so unsuspecting she was close until she struck. Smiling to herself she readied her body crouching low and intently watching the shadow move right, left, up, and down. Until it disappeared and re appeared. She watched until she had it’s movements. When it stopped and rested She pounced. Now Demon isn’t a dumb cat but as any predator animal does when laser focused on prey she forgot to fully take into account her surroundings. She remembered this only after jumping and hitting the inside curtain and being engulfed in the scent of warm water. By then it was too late she was already airborne and heading directly towards the now still shadow claws outstretched.
