Crouching she realized she still couldn’t see. Although pushing her paw forward she realized she could slide it under the door easily.

Pawing the shavings out of the way, Demon laid down on her side with her face as close to the door as she dared. There she could see the man's feet.

He was there!

Pushing her paw under the crack she tried to swipe out at him. But he was too far away. Wiggling closer she tried to push her paw and arm further under the door.

All to no avail.

Meowing plaintively she pulled her paw back and clawed at the door from the other side. Perhaps if he saw she was serious he would come out.

Sighing she pulled her paw from under the door. Looking through the slit she saw the man was crawling around the floor.

Perhaps this was a new game. But why wasn’t he letting her come in? She liked to play games. She was great at games, pausing for a minute she rethought that statement.

Flashing back to the humans at the shelter who liked to dangle string with feathers and pull mice across the floor and throw balls.

Well she was good at games when she wanted to play them.

Okay well her type of games like, how many times I can hit the human before he cries. Yeah that had been a fun game, Demon mussed. Perhaps this human was due for a round of such a game. Relishing the thought she turned her attention back to the man who was still crawling on the floor this time he had a couple of papers in his hand.
