“Sarah come on, it’s been over a week now and you haven’t come out, How am I sure you have even eaten anything” Larissa spoke to the closed door trying to get her out “Listen the best solution to depression is by talking about it, we know you are in there what happened” Larissa became worried when she didn’t see her best friend for over four days as concern changed to worry. She had seen her friend run off after the incident, did something happen before then, what could have happened? ‘Maybe she’s just out for something really important’ she thought but after two more days of no response, her worry deepened, she tried calling yet nothing so the next day she decided to personally pay the mansion a visit. When she arrived and asked around no one knew deepening her worry but then she was directed to Alfred who then told her that since he saw her climb into her room the other day she hadn’t come out at all although he would ensure he placed a meal by her door and when he returned he would either meet an empty plate on the front door which he would pick or sometimes the food remained untouched, but other than that no one knew. So, she made it her point to continue knocking at the door till she opened up, she had been standing for over three hours, and not even a sound was made but she didn’t give up.

“Come on, babe, what do you expect me to do, What do you…” She was still talking when suddenly the sound of the door unlocking stopped her:

CLANK CLANK CLANK

The door pulled open as Sarah came face to face with Larissa who was finding it difficult to recognize her ever-joyous girlfriend who looked like a shell of her former self:

“Sarah, what the hell happened” she asked as she reached out to touch her shoulder but Sarah’s next reaction completely stunned her;

“Don’t touch me” she said as she shifted back and attempted to close the door, but Larissa was quick to stop it, “Wait what is going on, I can’t help if I don’t know what the issue is” she said she looked at Sarah who had this sad look in her eyes, her eyes had heavy bags and her eyelids dark as though she used her eyeliner to shade them. Her hair was scattered as they were all over the place “At least let me in we can talk there” Larissa said as she tried persuading her friend putting her hand in her side bag and she pulled out a bar of chocolate raising it up to her face “look see what I got you” she said. Sarah looked as her expression showed a change for the very first time as she reached out to grab it quickly, faster than the eyes of Larissa could follow, and began to munch it she turned around and began walking to her bed while Larissa just smiled as she sighed, “You have always been such a softie for choco…” she was still speaking when she entered the room but suddenly froze as she saw the state in which the room was in. Everything was in total shambles as the curtains showed various burnt marks, the sockets and switches released sparks of electricity at intervals, and the roof of the room had burnt marks as though electricity was let loose on it, the curtains were half burnt and oozed of a smell of burnt fabrics. The room was in an eerie state as Larissa couldn’t help but ask “Sarah what the hell happened”

Sarah didn’t answer but rather hopped up and jumped on the bed bouncing quite a bit as she munched on the chocolate bar while looking at her as though there was nothing wrong with the room and it was Larissa who wasn’t normal “Well are you going to say anything or you are just going to stare at me like that and munch on the bar like a rabbit munching on a carrot” Larissa said as she began to be frustrated by the silence she was getting.

The doorknob clicked closed behind her with Sarah still looking at her when she raised her right hand and then pointed her finger to the ceiling while she used the left to eat confusing Larissa the more “What’s the matter now..” She was still trying to comprehend her friend's actions when a bright yellow light of electricity suddenly left her finger and hit the roof;

BZZZZZT

The room crackled with power as the bulbs began to flicker, Larissa stood in awe and confusion as she watched this act, she could have sworn her eyes were playing tricks on her as she could have sworn that was electricity “Wait did you just do that, or do you have an equipment to help you do that. Well, you know, you rich kids would always find a way to get something as absurd as that… huh” she was still talking when she noticed that Sarah had raised her hand again and taken the same posture as the same thing repeated itself. At this point, she had already begun sweating profusely as this was totally strange, a human shouldn’t be able to do something like this. It was logically impossible she was still thinking frantically as her thoughts were all over the place when she noticed that Sarah had stretched out her hand once again and this time it wasn’t towards the roof but towards herself making her jump back a bit when Sarah suddenly opened out her palms towards her, “wh…wh…what do you want” she asked in a shaky voice as Sarah pointed to the Chocolate wrap on the floor and opened her palms again. She was so lost she didn’t know when her friend had completely devoured the chocolate “Oh you want another one” she said as she began to frantically search her side bag She gave out a sigh of relief holding her head up and making her miss the slight smile that had formed on Sarah’s lips.

Bringing out another bar, she took two careful steps toward the monster on the bed as she didn’t want to anger it. The monster flicked her fingers urging her to be quick about it which she quickly did as she placed the chocolate bar on the opened hand like a slave dropping her spoils in her master’s hand Sarah nodded her head in acceptance causing the other to shift back.

“Hmmm” Sarah gave a satisfied moan as she stuck the second bar in her mouth: “hahahahaha” she couldn’t control herself any further as she burst out laughing hysterically, stunning the already stunned Larissa as she saw the abrupt change in her friend's emotions “h..he…hey babe, did by any chance, did your period come early”

“…”

“…”

“hahahahaha”

There was a brief pause as both of them looked at each other Sarah burst out in a more hysterical fit of a laugh “You should see your face” she said as she rolled on the bed holding her stomach “Sarah what the hell happened?” she mimic the serious expression of her friend as she continued her laughter turning Larissa’s face as red as a tomato in embarrassment “you little cheapskate” Larissa said as she dived forward into Sarah.
