I made my way out of my bedroom and towards the dining room for some breakfast, as I was walking towards the dining room I could hear laughter. One of the voices I recognized as Chris, but the other one I didn't recognize. Once I rounded the corner and walked through the door I saw a guy sat opposite from Chris, he seemed a little bit older than Chris and I. I must have zoned out while watching them as before I knew it Chris was at my side.
“Good morning, Chris.” I said with a smile on my face.
“Good morning Rosalee.” he replied with a smile on his face.
We both looked up to the guy sitting at the table making puking noises, as if he was disgusted by mine and Chris's interaction.
Chris took my hand and we walked over to the table, for some reason he holds my hand a lot. I shook my hand out of his and he gave me a little glare, so I just smiled at him.
“I know my way around here now Chris, you don't have to hold my hand all the time.” I gave him a small smirk and Chris just pouted.
The guy who was sitting at the table stood up and looked at me.
“Well if you aren't going to introduce me Chris then I will just introduce myself. Hi I'm Xavier Smith, Chris's best friend, it's a pleasure to meet you.” he looked me up and down and smiled at Chris “This one’s a looker isn't she.”

Chris went to say something but I put my right hand in front of him as to say shut up.
I spoke in a sharp tone that was deliberately directed at Xavier.
“This one’s name is Rosalee Andrews, and it's not a pleasure to meet you, so before you think that you have a chance, you don't. Chris has already told me about how much of a flirt you are, and I can tell you now I won't be one of your victims.” I sat down next to Chris who was now laughing his head off.
Lilith brought me some pastries and condiments to go with them, I ate in silence not wanting to talk to the boys who were casually chatting to one another. I had some tea along with it, the tea was a light pink colour and it had a fruity taste to it.
Once I was finished I stood up from my chair and began to walk off, but just before I could Chris spoke.
“Hey Rosa where ya going this early in the morning?” he smiled at me.
“I'm heading to the gardens, once the riff-raff has gone, come find me.” I smiled at them both and left without another word.
I made my way through the back of the castle and out to the gardens. Situated in the middle was a large waterfall and surrounding it were a couple of benches and a few paths that left to new areas of the gardens. As I made my way around I noticed a swing that was nestled in the top right corner of the gardens, I went to sit there and as I did I started to swing back and forth, the memories of the past started flooding back into my mind. I missed everyone. My mum, my friends I even missed Cameron’s torments and snarky remarks. I missed everything, I missed home. But I know that I can never go back because there I’m dead.
The tears began to fall freely down my face, I could hear footsteps coming close to me, I wiped my face and put a smile on.
