I went to pick up the book I was reading but Chris pushed it away from me before I could grab it.
“I never thought I would be jealous over a stupid bit of paper” he mumbled into my neck.
“Oh come on stop being a baby, it's just a book,” I said laughing slightly.
“I'm not being a baby Rosa, I just want attention,” he spoke with a slight growl to his tone.
I rolled my eyes and sat there watching the flames from the fire, admiring the beauty of how they danced when they engulfed the materials that were keeping it alive. I felt my eyes start to close, and sleep took over me.
I was woken up by a slight breeze and birds chirping, as I started to open my eyes and wake up more I could hear faint snoring and I could feel a weight on my chest which was holding me in place, I looked towards the direction of the added weight, and there was a large fluffy amount of black hair in my face, I realized it was Chris and smiled slightly, I could feel the heat start to rise to my cheeks remembering what happened last night and the fact that he kissed me, I attempted to wriggle my way out from under him but to no avail, I failed.

I laid there, in silence staring at the ceiling, waiting for a sign of movement so that I could make my way back to my room, we both fell asleep in front of the fire which was still alive and crackling, as it engulfed the wood that lay in its bed.
The smell of burning cedar wood filled the air giving a homely kind of warmth to the castle, i heard a grumble in my ear, which startled me slightly.
“Good morning my princess” Chris whispered into my ear.
A slight pink tint arose to my cheeks, he always knew how to make me blush and he didn't hide the fact that he knew how to.
I began to wriggle away now that he was awake, but again I had no luck, Chris grabbed me by the waist and pulled me to him.
“Where do you think you're going missy?” he asked in a curious tone.
Chris had positioned himself so that he was above me, he looked down at me with his bright red eyes, which always reminded me of the gemstone cuprite, his eyes looked dark red but when the sun hits them they glow like fire and it always mesmerizes me.
“To the baths if thats ok with you?” I questioned with a small smirk on my face.
He looked at me with a cheeky grin and I had a faint idea of what he was going to ask me.
“Only if I can join you my dear?” he deepened his voice when he asked me this, sending shivers up my spine.
“Not today Chris, maybe another day.” I gave him a small smile, pushed him off me, got up, and walked away.
As I walked through the castle towards my room, I could hear footsteps trailing behind me.
