Chapter 5

“Lillith, would you please be able to tend to Rosalee and maybe help her wash and into some clean clothes she has had a slight traumatic experience this morning.”

The maid nodded and gave me a small smile while the prince walked up to the king to give him an explanation of the situation. As the prince let go, I grabbed hold of the blanket that was wrapped around me. I looked at the maid known as Lilith and she gestured for me to follow her. We walked to the left adjourning hallway, we slowly walked down it the blanket trailing behind me as it was super long.

Lilith stopped in front of a large doorway, and as she opened it the smell of steamed lavender filled the air and honestly it made me relax straight the way. At some point, I had closed my eyes and as I reopened them, I was greeted by a room that had a blurred glass roof and surrounding walls, it reminded me of a greenhouse. It looked like a greenhouse there were hanging plants and vines growing up the walls, curving and winding throughout the large marble beames that made the aesthetic of the room look like an Egyptian bath. Situated in the middle was a large pool of water with rose petals floating atop of it. Lilith nodded for me to get in and as I walked up to the bath, I got a better view of the room, and it was just so stunning and tranquil. I felt at peace, all my fears and troubles seemed to have melted away. As I made my way to the steps of the bath, I put my left foot in, then my right and submerged the rest of my body including my head and hair. As I came back up for air Lilith was knelt down by the edge of the bath, she motioned for me to come over which I obliged to, and she started to wash my hair, she combed through the products and asked me here and there to rinse them out. Once she was finished, she gave me some soap and a cloth to wash myself down and get the remainder of the dirt off of my body, which was being hidden by the blanket that I was previously covered by. Lilith stood up and told me she would be back in a minute as she was going to find me some clothes to change into once I was dry.

I sat with my back against the walls of the bath and closed my eyes. For the first time in forever I felt at home, it was a strange feeling, considering I already had a home. But here I felt safe and I had no worries. There was no Cameron, there was no having to worry about if my mum was ok. And that's when it hit me. It was if I had forgotten, and all the memories came flooding back into my mind; the crash my family, friends, and school. At some point, I must have started to cry as I heard someone run out of the room. I looked around and saw some clothes on a nearby chair and realized it was Lilith. I got out of the bath and dried myself off, I put my hair into a high ponytail and began to put the clothing on that Lilith had left me. I walked over to the mirror that resided in the right corner of the room and admired the clothes. It was it was a short dress that had no sleeves, but some flimsy straps that sat perfectly on top of my shoulders. The skirt to the dress was also short, just above my knees, and the top lace had sparkles on it that reflected the light whenever it moved to make it look like it was shining in the sun. The chest area already had some form of support built in, so thankfully, I didn't have to wear the corset that was also laid out beside the dress, just incase I needed it. I struggled with the zip, and that's when I heard a familiar voice.

“Do you need some help with that?” the voice spoke.

I knew straight the way that it was the prince.

“Yes please if you don't mind,” I asked kindly.

As the prince made his way toward me, I wiped my face as he came into the view of the mirror, he gave me a soft smile and helped me zip up the back of my dress.

“Father has agreed to let you stay in the castle until we can figure out what the plan is and where you're going to stay, I have explained your situation to him and that you can't remember much apart from the minute that you ended up under that tree.”

I nodded in understanding and gave him a small smile, which made him look at me slightly concerned as he could see that my eyes were a little red from crying.

“Are you sure you’re ok? Lilith came to fetch me, she said you were crying?”

“Yeah I'm ok, just overwhelmed with everything that has gone on,” I replied.

He smiled at me and grabbed my hand.
