Epilogue
After the battle, the dungeon became quieter. Adventurers still came to try their luck, but without the looming threat of destruction or capture, Lucifer found it rather dull, so he threw himself his work. He researched whatever interested him in his free time and worked on his city every other moment.
After Ahri gave birth to Lucifers divinely blessed child Arthus found out that the child had his blood running through his veins, and instead of being furious that his blood was used in such a way, he made the child the crown prince. the boy had the royal bloodline and Arthus was more than happy to take Lucifer into the family.
Lucifer was given a grand royal title, he couldn't care less about, but it did allow him to make major changes to Swadia without protest. Lucifer had his growing ant army create great canals all over the Kingdom, each leading to his city using dungeon portals to climb up the mountain.
With the dungeons growth and Lucifers growing influence he was able to terraform the city and its surroundings, and with a few more rivers diverted for the city's water consumption, he grew the city even further. Eventually, the Morningstar city became the capital of Swadia for various reasons.
The old capital was too far away from the recaptured Duchies, Lucifers free trade and laws coupled highly effective animal spies grew the cities prosperity exponentially. Corruption was viciously rooted out and the common people were just as protected as the nobles, so they were able to confidently start their own businesses and move in the world and the city.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Changing the capital unofficially handed Swadia over to Lucifer and his son, so Arthus was able to avoid most political manoeuvering and court intrigue which he detested, instead he traveled around Swadia. Most of his time was spent hunting down particularly harmful and dangerous beasts that the adventurer guild wouldn't bother with.
Ellora traveled to the Magedom to make sure her enemies that enslaved her were dead, she needed to know for certain.
After finding none alive she visited Lucifer once more before returning to her homeland Korek as an ambassador. they respected strength which she had now and she was also "the dungeons kings wife", although the title wasn't accurate at all.
Ahri was the closest thing to a wife to Lucifer and She stayed with Lucifer in the dungeon. She was expelled from the arcane university after killing its mages, but she didn't seem to care. Although Lucifer knew otherwise and threatened Merlin with orbital bombardment if he didn't take her back.
Merlin's response amounted to "fuck you" in politer language. Lucifer occasionally looks at the university through the little twin demon, but he respects someone who sticks to their principles even when it hurts them too much to obliterate him for that, and it would only make Ahri more upset.
Selenia went back to adventuring and teaching, but the dungeon was always her home and after she matured more she eventually visited Lucifers room.
Wolfram retired from the city guard when he felt his presence was unnecessary, the animal spies did a better job than he ever could and he was a battle general anyway.
Lucifer offered him a leading position in his dungeon knights and even offered to give him a longer lifespan, but Wolfram rejected and lived out the rest of his days in the village he came from along with a few of his older subordinates and wife. Although not before Lucifer convinced him to hunt down the Blackhawk mercenaries that sold the information about him to the Magedom.
