With the warning given by the system, Amy started to get really scared. If she did not choose the floor boss right now, she could be permanently damaged. Luckily, there were already two candidates to choose from.
The candidates were the two honru sharks that survived from the first batch that fought against the lifeblood cuttlefish invaders. This decision had to be made now, or the pain will continue to get worse.
Amy studied the two monsters and decided to go with the one that caused the most damage during the cuttlefish invasion. It was the smaller one of the two monsters that did the most damage. With the boss monster chosen, she followed her instincts and pushed a lot of her mana into the honru shark. After a minute or so of doing this while the pain in her core was increasing, a blue screen popped up again.
You have made the honru shark your floor boss of floor two. You can now officially name the floor boss.
Along with that screen, the pain that had been piercing her core and soul stopped, and another screen blanketed her whole vision.
The floor boss of the second floor has been chosen. There must always be a boss monster or a set of tasks to allow access to the next floor. If not done so within a certain period of time of gaining another floor, the dungeon core's mana will start to be backed up and, in time, will cause tremendous pain that could eventually crack the core.
There must always be a way for invaders to access a dungeon's core.
Oh shit, thought Amy.
It seems that there must always be a way for invaders or adventurers to move through the barriers between floors. She can't just have a "safe" floor to which adventurers or invaders can't get.
Well, that sucked. It made the loophole that she thought that she could use to make herself safe for at least a small amount of time. But no, it turned out that it was quite detrimental to her health. She could still feel that phantom pain.
But at least now she knew what could happen if she did not choose a floor boss if she had already gained another floor. And it was just in time, too, as a group of adventurers had just defeated Fisher and moved onto the second floor.
It seemed like the groups of adventurers that were in her dungeon when the warning came did not notice anything. So that was good, at least.
Amy then took a deep breath, pushed what happened behind her, and started working on the creatures for the third floor.

Just like where she was originally going to start, Amy started with the mini coral reefs. And just like with all of her plants, she decided to try to cross-breed the fish species.
She took all of the fish species that she wanted to add to the reefs, pushed mana strings into them and pushed the idea to breed with a fish other than their species in order to try to create something new. The fish that Amy used are the stinging hawkfish, sunfish, needlefish, amware albacore tang, bony arowana, and grey cardinalfish. Realistically Amy knew that not all of the pairings between these fish would turn up something new. But some of these species will probably not be compatible with the fish that she was cross-breeding with. But she was going to try this any way to see what turns up.
As her mana worked its magic, the fish started to breed. As these couplings started to produce results, Amy would separate those fish that were carrying fertilized eggs and inserted another mana string to quicken the time that the fish had to carry the eggs.
As this breeding happened over and over again, many eggs were laid.
Amy could feel that most of the eggs had life with them and that there were enough to stop forcing the cross-breeding, so she stopped it. With the breeding stopped, Amy started hatching all of the eggs and increasing their growth speed. In all, she probably got about five new and different species.
After everything was hatched, she pulled up the descriptions for the new fish species.
Dazzler Fish
A species of fish with hypnotic-like scales can catch a person's attention very quickly.
Piercer Fish
A type of fish with a short but very sharp nose that has a slight toxin that coats it.
Air Gulper
This carnivorous fish species is an air breather that can hold a large amount of air in its lungs. In order to hunt, these fish will spit pellets of air at their prey to stun them.
Tana Fish
A species of fish that feeds off of dead flesh.
Seaweed Fish
A species of mostly stationary fish that hides from predators by mimicking seaweed.
Even though she did not get as many fish species as she wanted, she was happy with the new ones she got.
With acquiring the new fish, Amy started spawning and growing all of the fish species population. As well as making sure to input a maximum and minimum number for each species population.
With the fish species spread out throughout the mini coral reefs, Amy started placing the other creatures she wanted to add to the reef. She placed greater mantis shrimps, ponosonee starfish, pink starfish, light spun sea slugs, long-clawed lobsters, amware sea turtles, dragon eels, sand dollars, long spined sea urchins, banded trench sea kraits, coral sea dragon, blue-lipped clams, rok octopuses, spider crabs, crystal stingrays, glass jellyfish, and long-feathered pens throughout and within the reefs.
The last creature that Amy needed to place was the amware reef shark. Since she had the egg sac of the species, she had to hatch it. So she placed a mana string into the egg sac and pushed mana, as well as faster growth, into it. Soon enough, five small sharks with black tips on all of their fins were born.
After all of the creatures were placed and settled within the mini coral reefs, Amy turned her attention to the rainfall forest environment.
