Chapter 16 - Results!

Level up x4!

You are now a level 5 Paladin.

Your unique actions have granted you a special change in your class, the path of crimson paladin has now become available, unfortunately for you, this class route isn't an option though.

Congratulations Crimson Paladin Rosie!

As a Crimson Paladin you don't abide by normal rules or means of protection. You have no shield, for you are the shield. Skill distribution is limited to 1 per every 5 levels as this class.

New Passive(s) Gained!

Cornered Rat: (Level 1) The lower your health is the more damage you deal .1 extra damage for each health missing

Blood Pact: (Level 1) The more blood that splatters and seeps into your skin or clothing, the higher your defence becomes .1 Defence for each ounce of blood on you. Dried blood does not count towards the total.

Lost Hope: (Can't Level)Once you lose all hope. You die.

Equalizer: (Can't Level)If your health is above 50%, all of your stats drop by half

Safety Measure: (Level 1) Once your health reaches 0, you have 5 seconds to regain some health or you die. Can only occur every 10 minutes. Combos well with a potion, or your "Heartless" passive as a last resort.

Wolf in Sheep's Clothing: (Can't Level) You can no longer wear any armor beyond material level of cloth/leather or any variants, the system is fairly smart, if you try to put on a huge metal pauldron it will equip but lose all stat bonus and be thin as paper, however a chain necklace probably won't trigger these restrictions.

Shieldless Defender: (Can't Level) You can't equip a shield, picking one up instantly drops it. You are still a paladin though, if the system detects you took damage for the sake of another person. Then the total damage taken is reduced by half.

Heartless: (Can't level) You gain 1 health point if you fully eat, and consume a freshly ripped out heart. Also heals all status effect impairments. Can only be used once per day.

Red Aura: (Can't level, Cosmetic) For every ounce of blood on you, a red aura slowly appears around you, as well as changing your eye color,  and hair. The more blood on you, the brighter the color.

New Active skill(s) Gained!

Makeshift Weapon: (Level 1) Activate by looking at the body part of your enemy you wish to use, and simply trying to rip it off. Only works on enemies 3 levels lower than you. The body part becomes a weapon for as long as it remains sorta intact. Damage is based on the limb in question, a vampire's claws on their arm for example would do more than a goblins dangling whip arm.

Makeshift Shield: (Level 1) You can grab and use enemies to block projectiles and other damage sources. Once grabbed for the purpose of defence, enemies take more damage from external sources(5%) and their skin hardens (5%).

Noble Upkeep: (Can't level) Clear all the blood on you dried or otherwise, seeped in cloth or even if ingrained under your nails.

Foreign Objects: (Can't level) Lose all the blood currently on you and 10% of your health, but all foreign objects in your body are pushed out. This effect does not include poisons. The basic idea would be arrows, throwing knives, hell a bee sting will work too.

There are many secrets to a crimson paladin, but many more hardships await. This class was given to you as testament of the hardships you already have passed, use it wisely, for you are the only one.

I jolted up from what felt like a sweet dream and inspected my surroundings. I lived motherfucker! That white skulled prick can suck a big one. My backpack was laying in front of me, ripped to shreds and half eaten from my desperate struggle last night. Fragments of glass still remained in my mouth in utter disgust. I spat the last few pieces out and figured I'd inspect the damage I did to myself this fucking time.

To my surprise, obviously because of the potion seeped backpack meal, I was mostly alright. The worst thing for wear was my foot, twisted and broken in numerous ways with a piece of the wood from that goblins arrows still lying inside it.

There was another arrow in my back near my right shoulder blade, and a final one on the left of my chest. The shocking part was that I wasn't bleeding, the potion simply healed my skin right to the fucking wood inside me.

It seems a doctor's visit is very much needed for a proper recovery, I'm sure this wasn't the first time someone dran..err.. ate a potion with arrows still in them.

The first question I needed an answer to was if I could stand, kneeling over with one arm on ground I pushed up with all my might as the ground went further away from me. Once all my weight was up and standing, an intense pain twisted up my leg from my foot.

I supposed a blood and potion seeped backpack couldn't heal extreme injuries. I managed to hobble and stand though without falling down, with the sunlight shining through the tree leaves and confidence brimming through me for cheating death, I slowly lumbered back to the village for help so I didn't have to live my days as a pseudo porcupine.
