I was awoken by the sound of chopping, scared and concerned for where I was or who was chopping what, I clenched my eyes shut. I don't wanna know.. I don't wanna know. I'm done, please don't hurt me anymore God.
"Eat" was spoken quietly, but firmly
Adjusting my eyes, I was looking at a wooden rectangle plate with deer meat cooked on top. I slowly looked up to meet the man who spoke, with breath escaping me at the sight. It was Elzare, no doubt about it, the image of his face ingrained in my years of grinding. But.. different.
Elzare had a look about him that made me sad almost, but safe. His hair slightly grey, a full beard also tinted grey, that screamed wisdom sitting upon the canvas of his soul.
"I.. I.. I deleted you! "
"What? Sit down, your wound will re-open, eat the damn meat too" Spoke in a grizzled voice
Upon inspecting myself, he was right. My wounds are bad, very bad. Although, stitched up with some sort of bandages, his work I presume. I was at a complete loss, it was clearly my character, but here in front of me, alive, and almost gentle.
Not questioning his command, or the rumble of my belly, I slowly ate as tears mixed into the well cooked meat.
"Why didn't you kill me for experience?.. "
"Ahahahah! What in God's name do you take me for woman!? For starters you were fucking raped and almost dead, you think finishing off a mostly dead naked level 1 would be worth the experience? Did I really leave that kind of impression somehow? There’s no need for any more experience for this old fool anyway.”

He laughed again which sparked some anger in me, it was my fucking choice.
"Some level 14 and 18 bastards have their way with you, I save you and you want to die!? Fine, maybe I could use that experience anyway... " he almost screamed out, but sorta flinching to himself.
He was pointing his dagger at me with a death glare of his half elven eyes. I'm not sure if he was serious, if I ever encountered something like this when I was playing as him, would I really do that? That didn’t even matter anymore though, it’s been 10 years, god only knows what he’s experienced.
I decided to look up at him and close my eyes, a fitting way to die, by the hands of my sorta evil first avatar.
"It's a straight shot to the village you were at from the cabin's entrance. Your pathetic equipment is outside on the ground, I replaced your shitty fence and rusty dick for brains sword with actual equipment, there's red vials too and if you don't know what those are for then God save your soul, though I suggest you drink one, NPCs can't force other NPCs to drink them, hence your sorry fucking state. Go become someone worth killing, maybe then you’d feel better and stop your nonsene"
I was in shock, suddenly the thought occurred to me that Elzare wasn't evil, just impatient, and direct. That fit me to the T when I played as him, I never meant to kill an entire innocent orc village, but I didn't realize they were innocent and thought they were just data anyway, if it was real life, I wouldn't have done it.
It was like I just screamed at myself. How was his intelligence formed? What shaped him? It didn't matter, I didn't want to leave, I didn't wanna go back out there. I sat there, on his bed, looked up and pleaded.
"Please don't make me leave yet.. "
He looked away with what seemed to be tears forming in his eyes. Elzare.. was conflicted as far as I could tell.
"I sorry for what happened, I’ll give you some time to recover”
“Be careful out there, I don’t know who you are, or where you came from, but this world.. This world isn’t a pleasant one for a level 1. There should be low level goblins around here, with some Erkins(Deer like Creatures)”
