CH 10 - The Freshman Orientation - The Picnic

Less than several minutes later after she fulfil her very brief-ass punishment, Cinnamon, along with Cymberly, finally went outside and walk down the side walk. Cinnamon still has my pouch in my purse ready to give it back to me.

As they walked down the sidewalk, Cinnamon couldn't shake off the embarrassment that lingered from the earlier incident. Cymberly, on the other hand, couldn't resist teasing her friend.

"Well that was an unexpected twist I didn’t see coming," uttered Cymberly with a mischievous smile.

“You should have warned me,” retorted Cinnamon playfully. "You know, I could have given a heads up."

“Oh common, where’s the fun in that?” responded Cymberly cheerfully. “Besides, you handled it like a champ, holding the textbooks like pro.”

“Ugh,” Cinnamon answered still a bit undulating. “Can’t believe I didn’t see her coming.”

"Lesson learned, I guess," Cymberly said, nudging her friend. "Always keep an eye out for wandering teachers with stacks of textbooks."

"I understand," Cinnamon said. "I wonder what's inside his pouch." She was referring to my pouch that is currently inside her purse.

"Huh?" Cymberly said as she didn't hear her clearly.

"I wonder what's inside his pouch," Cinnamon repeated.

"Well you'll find out when you'll give it to him," Cymberly said. "It's not a good idea to open someone's personal stuff without his or her permission."

As they continued walking and approaching the school picnic area, the chatter of students, parents and staff filled the air.

"So, any plans for the rest of the weekend?" Cymberly asked.

"I have no idea," Cinnamon said. "Perhaps we can have a sleep over."

Cymberly thought for a moment, then smiled. "Okay," she said. "Last sleepover for the summer, huh?"

"Yep," Cinnamon said. "Let's join the picnic and pretend this earlier incident never happened?"

Cymberly laughed. "Okay," she said. "Next time, watch out for flying textbooks at outdoor events, okay?"

Meanwhile, I was sitting down on a table with my mom and my aunt with a plate full of fried chicken, a salad and macaroni and cheese and a medium cup of orange juice in front of me. Cathryine and Aunt Catherine, given their body and muscle masses, had a bigger-ass feast than mine. Not only did they take fried chicken and macraroni and cheese like I did but they also take plastic bowls of mash potatoes, lots of greens and probably veggies. In fact, they each take not one but two big-ass pieces of fried chicken and two big-ass cups of macaroni and cheese, a large-ass bowl of greens and some veggies and two giant-ass bottles of water to wash down all that food.

"So have you guys settle down yet?" I asked, referring to the argument from earlier before my talk with Cinnamon and Cymberly.

"Yeah," Aunt Catherine said.

"We were arguing about why the fuck is my little sister stares at me almost every time a generically ordinary question is asked," Cathyrine said, referring 'little sister' to my aunt.

"I was just asking you a question, big sis," Aunt Catherine said.

Cathyrine sighs.

"Okay, let's not argue with each other," I said. "Let's focusing on enjoying the picnic."

Cathyrine already glanced at me and nods. "You're right," she said.

"Yeah, let's focusing on enjoying the picnic," Aunt Catherine said.

We then start digging in.

Meanwhile, at another table where Cinnamon's mom is sitting alone currently, she's eating a big-ass feast of one piece of fried chicken and marcaroni and cheese as well as mash potatoes and greens and veggies and other stuff. While she was eating, she saw Cinnamon and Cymberly walking towards her.

"Oh there you are!" Cinnamon's mom shouts. "What the fuck have you guys took you so long?!"

Cinnamon and Cymberly stops as they reached towards the empty table seat in just several inches in front of her.

"Well...um...," Cinnamon said awkwardly as she tries to come up with an answer.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

"Um what?!" Cinnamon's mom shouted.

"Ummm...," Cinnamon said to her mom while glancing at Cymberly, begging to help her out.

Cymberly notices and decided to step in. "Me and Cinnamon went to talk to a friend," she said to Cinnamon's mom.

"A friend that happened to be a future classmate?" Cinnamon's mom asked.

"Well...," Cymberly said.

"Potentially yes," Cinnamon said, interrupting Cymberly, extremely hoping that I will definitely attend this school from the very first day of high school.

"Potentially yes?" Cinnamon's mom asked.

"Potentially yes," Cinnamon said.

"Oh good," Cinnamon's mom said. "Thank god that's not a student from another school." She then takes another bite.

"Oh and uh...she quite bumped into a teacher," Cymberly said to Cinnamon's mom.

"YOU BUMPED INTO A TEACHER?!" Cinnamon's mom shouted at Cinnamon.

"Uhh...I wasn't....paying attention," Cinnamon said.

"YOU WERN'T PAYING ATTENTION?!" Cinnamon's mom shouted.

Cinnamon went froze as she struggles to explain to her. Cymberly froze as well.

"Excuse me?" A female staff member asked as she walk by. "Is there any problem?"

Cinnamon, her mom and Cymberly all glanced at each other before they glanced at the female staff member.

"No," Cymberly said to her as she spoke up. "Everything's alright."

"Okay," the female staff member said. "It seems like you two haven't had picnic stuff yet," she said to Cinnamon and Cymberly.

"Um no," Cinnamon said as she and Cymberly shook their heads.

"Why won't you two go to our buffet and select some choices that you guys like," the female staff member said.

"Yeah, you two go ahead!" Cinnamon's mom told Cinnamon and Cymberly. "I'll take care of your belongings.

Cinnamon and Cymberly glanced at each other before they handle their purses to Cinnamon's mom. "Okay," they said as they glanced back at the female staff member again.

"Okay, follow me," the female staff member said as she turns around and walks forward.

Cinnamon and Cymberly followed her.

Less then seconds later, they reached towards the buffet.

“Alright,” the female staff member continued as she pointed at the tempting options. “We are providing cheeseburgers, fried chicken, chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, fruit salad, sandwiches, and a variety of drinks. You two can grab whatever you like and remember to pick some deserts later on!”

Cinnamon and Cymberly reached towards the counter and looked amazed as there was a large display of appetizing food stuff before them.

"Alright, well then....," Cinnamon said as she rubbed her hands softly. "Which one do we start with first?"

"Hmmm....not sure," Cymberly said.

"Same here," Cinnamon said as she agreed with her.

"Take your time and pick anything you like," the female staff member said.

Cymberly said, “Cinnamon, alright, let’s have a bit of everything”

“Right,” Cinnamon said. “At least I will enjoy the fantastic smells of the buffet.”

There was much expectation as Cinnamon and Cymberly started selecting different plates of the picnic food they most preferred. The dishes looked wonderful, with their aroma hovering around the buffet, filling the room with such tantalizing smells they were feasts fit for the gods. In order not to miss out on anything, they picked up the different items in small portions.

“Hey guys, make sure you have room for dessert,” the female staff member said as Cinnamon and Cymberly loaded their plates with delicious food items.

"Gotcha!" Cinnamon and Cymberly affirmed, handling their plates from the bottom.

"Alright have a good time," the female staff member said.

"Alright, thank you", said Cinnamon and Cymberly.

The female staff member starts walking around again.

"Alright you got everything?" Cymberly asked Cinnamon.

"Yep," Cinnamon said as they both now had their colorful collages of picnic items from the counter.

They then start walking away from the counter.

"Hey BFF, I think I'm already starving to fucking death," Cinnamon said to Cymberly said.

"You can say that again," Cymberly said.

Minutes later, Cinnamon and Cymberly were already back into their table seats and they were handled their belongings back to them. By this point Cinnamon's mom is already finishing her picnic while they still have half of their picnic left to dig in.

Then Cymberly glanced over the shoulder, watching and looking at the rest of students, their parents and the school staff eating and drinking. Then she chaught a glimpse of someone familiar. She touch Cinnamon on the shoulder. Cinnamon pauses eating and glanced at her. Then Cymberly points her to that same person Cymberly is currently looking at. And yes, that someone is me.

"You wanna...," Cymberly said to Cinnamon, asking her if she can return my pouch now.

"Um excuse me mom can I go to my friend for a little bit," Cinnamon asked her mom.

"NO!" Cinnamon's mom said.

"But there's something---," Cinnamon said.

"You better finish eating first before you go meet your friend alright," Cinnamon's mom said.

"Well what if he leaves?" Cinnamon asked.

"What if he leaves?" Cinnamon's mom prompted.

"Yeah," Cinnamon said.

"If he leaves, he leaves," Cinnamon's mom said. "Plain and simple."

Cinnamon and Cymberly glanced at each other.

"Should I--," Cymberly tries to ask Cinnamon's mom.

"NO!" Cinnamon's mom shouted.

They went quiet.

Back at my table, me, Cathyrine and Aunt Catherine have all finished our picnic. By the point we were full. And my bladder is gonna explode...well not really but still...this is the point where I have to take a piss, a beautiful piss.

"Hey mom, Aunt Catherine," I said. "Is it okay if I can go to the bathroom?"

"Yeah," Cathyrine said as she and Aunt Catherine nodded.

"Okay," I said before I got up from my table seat and quickly walk away.

Simultaneously, Cinnamon, having heard my bathroom question and answer, suddenly feel anxious to meet me again as this was an opportunity for her to return my pouch this way. Cause if she don't, then...I would be upset...when I found out that my pouch is missing. She and Cymberly glanced at each other, with Cymberly nodding as she's already started feeling the same feeling as her.

"Hey mom," Cinnamon said.

"No," Cinnamon's mom said before her older daughter even ask a question.

"Can I go to the bathroom?" Cinnamon asked.

"Can you what?!" Cinnamon's mom shouted.

"Can I go to the bathroom?" Cinnamon asked.

"Can you go to the bathroom?!" Cinnamon's mom said.

"It's an emergency," Cinnamon said, even though it really isn't and it was really about her meeting me instead.

Cymberly glanced at Cinnamon's mom, waiting for an answer with baited breath.

Cinnamon's mom sighed in distress. "Go ahead," she said.

Cinnamon quickly jumped out of the seat and start walking away from them.

Cymberly sighed for relief.
