Jupiter’s Core – Seraph #04762

Things were progressing on the third planet of its envelope of designated oversight within the margins of probability, based on extrapolations of the vast amounts of raw data that Seraph #04762 had at its disposal.

The amounts of intelligent species had dwindled significantly on its surface and the amount of mana being cleansed had understandably dropped in unison:

Mana Compatible Elevants: 2,913,857,642

Mana Saturation: 69%

The appropriate protocol for such an event was to open Dimensional Siphons, where the excess mana could be sequestered so as not to cause a massive surge in monster spawning’s and overwhelm the newly elevated too quickly within Phase 1.

The only problem with this protocol was that it was a temporary measure that would only stall the problem for the Elevant’s, but only for a limited time. It was not that the Dimensional Siphons were inefficient or miss-calibrated, quite the contrary, they were the best measure devised by the Progenitors had been able to manifest when they instituted The System and its Seraph’s. The problem was just that the mana and subsequent spawned monsters could only be contained in these pockets for so long.

The remedy to this short fall was an integral to Progenitors Elevation Code #5693, and though optional, Seraph #04762 thought elevants who chose not to participate in it, were welcome to their resulting extinction. The solution was a simple one; Party’s of individual Elevant’s were enabled to enter the Dimensional Siphon and cleanse them of the coalesced monsters or inserted galactic Elevant’s before they were ejected onto the planet’s surface.

A similar thing had occurred in-system before on the second planet the humans had labeled Mars. The silicon based life had been a hive mind species of high reproductive capabilities. When the Elevation for that planet had begun the population’s collective consciousness had refused to participate in any way, shape or form of monster subjugation, quest completion or Manamote collection.

Obviously with little to no mana being actively consumed and circulated, the excess mana had reached a critical tipping point and the Dimensional Siphon’s had to be deployed far earlier than in Earth’s case. Needless to say the species was extinct shortly after as they were overrun by hoards of un-defeated monsters whilst the few galactic successful insurgents failed to make a strong enough foothold in the midst of the ensuing chaos.

Seeing as they had a monoculture and produced no entertainment or media to speak of, Seraph #04762 was of the view the cosmos had not really lost anything when the last of the species was slain and unflinchingly ended the review of the memory file.

Redirecting its attention to the task at hand from its nanosecond trip down memory bank lattice 6,371,294, it would have to enact the protocol shortly too, as the number of Elevant’s was still continuing its decline:

So it continued to watch with undue concern as its favorite species’ to star date, continued its fatalistic downward spiral.
