Phoebe
Hours later, Phoebe sank into her bed, the pain in her legs reduced by a long hot shower to tingling warmth. If she stopped to think about anything for a second, she was going to burst out laughing again, she could feel the energy still bubbling in her chest. Her distraction was Thessaly's interview, playing from the phone she laid gently on the pillow beside her.
The DJ was saying, "Let's go for one more question… oh, here's a spicy one. Listener Andy writes in and says 'Do you have any celebrity crushes right now?'" The man's voice was somehow perfectly smooth while still full of radio Personality. Phoebe could hear the smile in it. "So, Thessaly, spill the beans, who's caught your eye lately?"

"Oh, I dunno if I should say this…" For a moment, the mermaid's shyness sounded playful, but Phoebe rolled onto her side and picked up the phone again. The stream was audio-only, but she stared at the logo, face rigid. Thessaly giggled. "There's… in the Imperial League, one of the riders, she just won her first race today, and she's so cool. Phoebe Tenryuu."
