Akira regained he consciousness once again after a deep sleep. She grabbed her arm immediately after she got up. She sat upright on the wooden bed. Before she checked on her injured arm.
She slowly unraveled the bandage her around her arm and she saw the purple dots that were littered on her arm.
Compared to how she was when she arrived in Krey, it was a massive improvement. Back then her arm was completely purple. At least now, she was able to see parts of her skin that were healed from the poison.
As she caressed her arm—while a part of her tried to rember where she even got the injury.
When she left Suveny, she was In full health. So something must've happened, but when?
Her mind went back to her fight against Kyros. The strange thing about that fight was that major parts of her memories were missing. She remembered fighting Kyros, but her mind didn't remember much about the fight, the conclusion and major sections of the middle portion were a blur.
When she went deeper into her memory she was led to the Forest of Doom, where she and Trey completely annihilated the carnivorous trees. In that entire fight she only remembered one moment when she could've been poisoned. That was when she and Trey attacked the Mother Tree. She rembered being grazed by one of the Mother Tree's branches a moment before she launched her finishing attack.
Despite it being just a graze, she was convinced the Mother Tree was behind her injury.
For starters, even though her memory against Kyros was missing information—she didn't actually think Kyros poisoned her.
Dragons are known for their eternal flame which burns as hot as the sun for a full grown dragon, but they were not known for poisoning. From what Luna told her about her injuries she was definitely poisoned by something potent.
If Kyros was not the one behind her poisoning, there was only one other option and that was the Mother Tree. Carnivorous Trees were known for poisoning after having been grazed by one of them. The source of her injury became clear.
She couldn't help but bite her bottom lip while also clenching her fist. She smashed the bed multiple times.
"Idiot!" She'd repeat this to her self for minutes on end.
After she finally settled down, the bed was left rocking back and forth and its old wooden base made all kinds of weird noises. It was an annoying sound for her personally but she endured it.
It didn't take long before Luna to walked through the door. She held bottles holding green liquid, Akira could only guess that they were potions.
"I see you're back on your feet, that's good to see" Luna slammed the door behind her shut as she spoke.
She was careful not to drop her glass bottles, as she walked towards a wooden table at the corner of the room.
"Yes, I feel much better now and it's all thanks to you"
Akira bowed her head slightly, as she expressed her gratitude.
"Its fine, I'm just glad that I was able to help"
Luna poured all her liquid bottles inside a glass jar. She then, mixed them together with a wooden spoon before she walked back towards Akira.
"Here, have a drink." She handed over the glass gently, careful not to spill it.
Akira looked at the liquid with suspicious eyes. The smell it produced was worse than Ten's body smell and that was saying something.
"Are you sure this is a potion that will help me?" She asked with a concerned expression.
Deep down she wanted her to say 'no' despite how unlikely that was.
"It's not a potion but it's something I whiped together myself. It won't heal you but it will ease the discomfort on your arm. I thought I already explained this to you. In Krey potions are a rare thing. They must as well not exist.
Even without asking, Akira felt like she knew the culprit for such a thing. She quickly chugged down the liquid without a second thought. It was better to do it quickly than to wait till she had second thoughts.
The taste was as bad as the smell. Its bitter taste slid down her throat unpleasantly. She couldn't resist making a sour face as the after taste of the medicine lingered.
Luna couldn't help but giggle at her response.
"This is for your own good Akira. Soon I'll need you to come with me and we'll storm the White Temple."

"Wait that's your plan? just to storm the Temple?" Akira asked.
She expected a more concrete plan. Considering they wanted to take down a ruler of an entire city. She expected something more thought out than just a suicide charge.
"Well, I may have phrased that wrong. I know some hidden passages that will lead us directly to my mother. It still counts as storming the castle doesn't it?"
Akira breathed a sigh of relief. She wasn't afraid of anyone, but she was also not an idiot.
"Rest easy for now Akira, next time you wake up. We're launching our assault."
[At the bottom of Krey.]
[Location: The Trash Can]
[Western Dump]
Ten and Jerry couldn't contain their surprise when they saw the Trash Can in all its....glory.
"What the hell is this? Ten finally asked.
The mountains and mountains of papers and rotten food was a sore sight for the eyes. The toxic smell was even harsher for the nose.
"This is what Krey has been hiding underneath its perfect exterior for years"
Chloe led Jerry and Terry through the Trash Can. With each step they took they could feel the sticky mud beneath their feet. A man and women wearing tattered clothing were seen sharing a moldy piece of bread that laid on the muddy surface.
An old man was beating a 7 year old boy to death—just because he wanted the rotten apple, he head in his grasp. Despite the boy's screams. The man did not stop.
It was truly a disturbing sight for both Ten and Jerry
"This is the truth behind Krey, believe it or not all the people that you see infront of you. Were actually nobles."
"What did you say?" Ten's voice bounced off the mountains of garbage around them.
For a second it looked like the mountains would collapse on them. There were a lot of individuals digging through the pile of trash as they searched for anything they could find. Based on their thin bodies and dirty clothing, their hunger was on full display.
"Yes, every single one of the people here once belonged to royalty. Long ago before Krey was ruled by the Clover family. it was actually led by 5 noble families. This was centuries ago before the 4 great families came to power."
Ten couldn't believe what he was hearing. All of the people around him looked much worse than peasants, and they were supposed to be royalty? It was unimaginable.
"Before the Clover family came to power, Krey was divided into 5 sections. East, West, South,North and the Center. Each of these sections belonged to a noble family. The Nakuzami family that ruled the center was the most powerful of them all, but it still saw the other families as allies. Everything changed though when the collapse occurred..."
Jerry's interest was peaked, he knew a little bit about the 'collapse' from his grandfather, but it wasn't anywhere near as in depth as he would've wanted. He kept his eyes locked on to Chloe completely immersed in her story.
"When the collapse occurred all those years ago, the world was in chaos. Entire cities crumbled after the Demon King was defeated. The weapons he scattered across the world brought unbelievable devastation and many nations were destroyed. Just a single weapon crashing on a city or a nation, meant the end for every individual located in that area. The shockwaves produced by the weapons, resonated throughout the world nearly ending the world as we know it..."
Ten's eyes wondered around the Trash Can as Chloe spoke and he couldn't help but notice a building far into the distance. It was unlike the rest of the buildings on the trash can. It was made of stone.
"With the weapons causing so much devastation and chaos, the 4 great leaders promised to rebuild the world from scratch. They believed that after Yama's death, humans needed to reclaim their dominance over the world. That was when they declared themselves as the 4 rulers who will bring humans back to where they belonged, at the top of the food chain."
"At the top of the food chain?" Trey questioned not sure what she meant by that. Weren't humans always at the top of the food chain?
"Yes, at the time humans were at their lowest. Out of all the races of the world they were by far the weakest. That all changed when the 4 great leaders began their conquest. Many nations across the world didn't like the idea of suddenly being controlled by 4 families so they resisted. As you might have expected not a single one of those nations made it out alive. They were all wiped out without a trace. Millions of people just gone in the blink of an eye.
"Just 4 individuals were able to bring the world to its knees. After seeing the might of the family leaders, many nations started to join their course. One of those families were the clover family. After the clover family assisted the Fauna family in its conquest. They were rewarded with a piece of land. That land being Krey. With the strenghth of both the clover and Fauna. The 5 noble families of Krey never stood a chance. They were all defeated and the clover family took over the city of Krey. It has been like that for centuries. "
Trey and Jerry were silenced. They never guessed that Krey's history was something that ran that deep. They figured out the rest of the story by themselves. After the clover family came to power they drove all the defeated families to the bottom of Krey where they would never see the light of day again.
"That's all in the past now though. The people of the Trash Can are now focusing on the future. It may not look like it now but war is coming."
"War?" Trey had a concerned face.
"Yes, War! After all these years the people of the Trash Can have something that could help them reclaim their land."
Chloe turned around to look at both Jerry and Ten directly in the eyes.
"They have....The Demon King's Blade"
Trey and Ten couldn't believe it. The blade was located at the bottom of Krey?
"Where is it?" Ten asked with an urgent tone.
"Something has been bothering me for a while..."
Chloe started walking towards Jerry and Ten who were a few steps away from her.
"You guys aren't from around here are you? Answer me while I'm still being nice. Who the hell are you? And why have you come to city of Krey?"
[Somewhere in the center of Krey above the surface]
Trey finally reclaimed his consciousness after what felt like ages.
"What happened?" He asked, clutching his head.
He found himself back in the stadium's waiting room. Although his head was hurting, most of his wounds were healed. He found Vivi standing not far from him.
"You won the tournament by default, that crazy lady actually just surrendered. You were pretty injured after the fight so I used the potions you won to heal you..." Zoey trailed off as she glanced to her left side.
The girl who was beaten to near death by Roy was back on her feet. Her wounds were completely healed.
"I used the potions to heal Rebecca as well. You won't belive what she told me. When I asked her about the Rogue Magicians and the blade.... I'll actually let her speak for herself."
Rebecca cleared her throat before she spoke.
"I'm eternally greatful to you Trey. To repay your kindness even if it's a little bit. I will take you to the location of the Demon King's blade"
Slowly but surely, the pieces were falling into place.
