"You're the priestess? And you want to leave Krey?" Trey couldn't get over his shocked expression.
"Yes, I want to leave. This City was just never meant for me.." her voice trailed off.
"I don't understand, if you're the priestess why are you allowing those guys wearing robes to do whatever they want?"
Vivi stood and started pacing up and down the room, as she addressed Trey's question.
"You may not believe me, but even as a priestess I don't have much power in this city. The only person who has control over everyone, is my mother Zira." She paused before she continued
"Nothing I say will ever get through to her. Krey doesn't someone like me, i can't help anyone."
Trey dragged himself to his feet, his body ached all over. The mana that he had was on its last drops. In terms of power, he was very close to Jerry.
He went on to pick up the injured girl from earlier, ignoring his own Injuries. As he bowed, he decided to share his opinion on what Vivi had to say.
"I think that just makes you a coward. If you can't even stand up to those bastsrds, why would I help someone like that? If you leave what do you think will happen to girls like her"
He finally got her off the ground and turned to walk towards the exit.
"Those guys aren't the ones I'm afraid off. The ones I'm cautious about are the Lancers." Vivi defended herself.
She decided to follow Trey not willing to let him get out of her sight.
"Trash Can dwellers like her will always have it difficult. Trust me I've tried to improve their situation, but nothing works. I'm the one who gave them a chance to work here on the surface, but you can see how that's working out. They'll be better off without me."
Trey seemed to not pay attention to anything she said.
"You've convinced yourself you're not going to help them. I guess there's nothing for us to discuss, ask someone else to helo you. I won't help a coward like you"
Trey looked left then right, he tried to make sense of all the blinding lights in Krey. It was all really odd and confusing to him. The blistering heat also didn't help his sense of direction.
"I know you're not from around here, I can tell by that mana you're using. No one in Krey has corrupted mana. You must be the intruder, from earlier. I felt that strange energy when you broke through the barrier."
"You're right, I'm not from here. If I was, most of this city would be littered with corpses by now." Trey didn't mix his words.
"I came for a specific reason and that reason happens to involve you unfortunately. I need you to help me find something, the Demon King's blade."
Trey ended up going down an empty street as he searched for a store or an individual who could treat the girl he held.
"The Demon King's blade? How is that possible? That blade hasn't been found in hundreds of years and you're telling me it's In Krey?"
"Yes, a group of magicians stole it and they're hiding somewhere in this city. I don't know why they'd choose a city like this, but I need to get the blade back."
Vivi grabbed, Trey by his shoulder halting him in his tracks. "Do you have any idea how big an accusation that is? If Krey had something like that trust me, I would know."
"I don't need you to believe me I'm telling you how things are."
Vivi found it hard to believe anything that he said.
"I need you to stay close to me, the magicians will be coming for you sooner or later."
"Why would they come after me?" Vivi questioned.
"Because of your sealing magic. If there's anyone, who can break the seal on the blade its you. They'll probably try to abduct you"
The way Trey spoke was starting to get a little too serious for Vivi.
"Are you serious? Rogue Magicians are really after me? How do you even know about my sealing magic?"
"Your legend as the defender of Krey proceeds you, I'd be surprised they'd be anyone who didn't know about you at this point." He said that with a straight face. Despite no knowing anything about her until recently.
"As for the magicians, yes they'll definitely come. Lucky for us, since you're with me. We have the advantage, they can't do anything unless they have you."
Vivi was starting to come around to the idea that people were after her. The way Trey spoke sounded too real to be just a lie.
"So If I stay with you, they can't use it right? The blade I mean."
"That's correct, we don't need to go to them. They'll come to us. For now help me heal this girl. Do you have any potions that can help her?"
She shook her head.
"Unfortunately no, potions are a rare thing in Krey. My mother keeps all of them for herself. She says for Krey to be strong it needs strong citizens, people who aren't reliant on potions. The only thing I have with me is this" she showed Trey a blue bottle.
"This will recover one's mana reserves but it won't heal them. I only have it as precaution in case I run out of mana while maintaining the barrier"
"Are you telling there's no way I can help and she's just going to die? What about healing type magicians?"
"No, they aren't any healing type magicians in this city. They were all chased away by my mother who wanted a more firm grip on the city. The only healing type magician In Krey that I know of, Is my sister and I don't even know where she is right now.
"The only reliable way to help the girl is by joining the Golden Blade tournament. If you manage to win, you'll have all the potions you want"
Trey didn't waste a second before he spoke, "Take me there immediately."

[A few hours ago]
The room was dark and Akira had just regained her consciousness. She woke up in a creaking bed and she had bandages all over her figure. She held her head for a second, trying to mitigate the pain she felt.

She darted her eye's around the room and saw a dimly lit candle at the corner of the room.
"You're awake" a voice came from the other side of the room when Akira turned around again, she saw the figure of a young girl no older than 15. She wore a green robe that smothered her entire figure. She held a black staff which went on to produce a green light thanks to her mana. The room became brighter and a more comforting atmosphere started to settle inside the room.
"Who are you? What do you want from me?" Akira's voice was panicked.
She tried to move further away from the girl, but the stinging sensation in her arm prevented her from moving.
"Ouch!" She'd say clutching her arm.
"You shouldn't move around, your wounds still haven't healed, to tell you the truth, it's a miracle that arm of yours is still intact. You were lucky."
"What are you talking about? Where are the others?"
"Others? I'm afraid I haven't seen anyone other than you. When I came to check outside my door, I just found your body laying there and heavily injured. I had to move fast to make sure you didn't die. "
Akira's hostility started to die down. If this girl wanted to kill her, she would have done it already.
"Where are we?"
"You'll see in just a bit, judging by your appearance you're not from around here, are you? And judging from those eyes of yours, you're from the Goldlock Tribe aren't you?"
"What do you know about my Tribe? Answer me!!"
Akira's fangs were on full display, her animalistic side was starting to show.
"I don't know much, I know you're not from around here because you're a beast human. Your kind doesn't exist in Krey. I also know you're a Goldlock because Yuran used to tell me about you guys all the time"
"What? You're telling me Krey doesn't have beast humans? And who's this Yuran? How does he know about the Goldlock Tribe?
"I don't have answers to all your questions but I can tell you what I know." She cleared her throat before she spoke.
"In Krey beast humans don't exist, the few that did exist were killed a long time ago. By my mother's orders they were all exterminated. Not a single one left to breathe under the sky."
Akira was stunned she couldn't help but be overwhelmed by her emotions.
"You humans are the same, if you don't like something, you think killing it makes things right!"
Akira's mind was flashing back to her past. But she did what she could to keep those memories surfaced.
"Trust me, I don't have a problem with beast people. The only problem in Krey is my mother as long as she continues to rule Krey, peace will never come for us."
"Rule? Your mother is some sort of queen?"
"That's right, I'm Zira's third daughter my name is Luna and I'm a princess of Krey."
Akira's face expressed her shock without the need to talk, "you're the princess? You mean you're the one in charge of the barrier?"
Luna shook her head, her green hair flowing to the sides as she did.
"The honor of maintaining the barrier goes to my sister Vivi. The term princess is different from priestess. The princess is below the Priestess in rank. The rank of Priestess is only for my sister Vivi because she's the one who maintains the barrier.
"That's actually part of the reason why I need your help?"
"You need my help? With what?"
"I need you to kill my mother Zira."
"You want me to kill your own mother?"
"That's correct, if you manage to do it. I will tell you where you can find Yura, from what he told me. He seems to know a lot about the Goldlock Tribe."
"So that's why you told me that story, you seek to use me?"
Luna walked to the candle that was in the center of the room. "We're both using each other, I think it's only fair. I give you the information, you help me out. What's your name by the way"
Luna picked up the candle, that rested on top of a crystal plate.
"It's Akira. Is what you say really true, do you know where I can find this Yura?"
Luna came to a stop, not far from Akira's bed.
"Yes, you help me and I'll help you. What do you say Akira?"
[A few hours ago]
[An area just below Krey.]
Ten had just reclaimed consciousness, he found Jerry chatting with someone. His head felt like he was beaten in his sleep.
His eyes were still a little blurry but he could make out what was happening.
"Where are we Jerry?
"Oh, it's a good thing you're awake Ten. I just got up myself and this girl right here claims to be the one who saved us. "
Not standing far from Jerry was a girl wearing a black cloak, her hair was red and she was actually in her twenties. Calling her a girl was actually inappropriate, but to Jerry and Ten she could be around sixteen based on how young she looked.
"What he tells you Is correct, I'm the one who saved you guys. I don't know what you were doing above the surface but you could have gotten yourself killed."
Ten didn't quite understand what she meant by above the surface so he decided to question her. His head was feeling a little better and he was now reclaiming his full senses.
"What do you mean by above the surface and who are you?"
She was a little taken aback by Trey's questions, not because they were difficult but she found them to be quite odd.
"You guys don't know who I am and you don't know the surface above?" She paused, before she decided to speak once more.
"Are you guys from the Eastern Dump? I mean that's the only way you could fail to recognize me and may not know the way to the surface above."
Trey and Jerry glanced at each other in confusion, but they just nodded choosing to go along with what she said. It was easier than them trying to explain themselves.
"Well.." she started moving up to what looked like the exit of the room.
That's when it became fully apparent, to Ten how weird the room around them was. It had wooden poles sticking our at certain sections of the room and it was covered in plastic, it wasn't something he had seen before.
"My name is Chloe and I'm Krey's rightful Priestess."
"Say what!!" Ten's shouting forced her to stop and turn her attention back to Ten.
"You're the Priestess? You mean you're he one who protects Krey right?" Ten questioned.
"We've been looking for you we actually ac-"
"I'm not the Priestess you guys think I am." Her voice had turned cold and she had cut Jerry before he even finished, his statement.
"I'm Zira's eldest daughter and rightful Priestess of Krey, that bitch you guys are referring to, is my sister Vivi. The one who claims the one who claims the tittle of Priestess. I've been delegated to a mere princess, when I'm the rightful Priestess!!" Her voice alone threatened to calluses the room they were in.
Jerry and Ten didn't fully get what she was talking about so they remained quiet.
Chloe cleared her throat before she spoke again, this time more softly "I'm sorry about that, you said you wanted to know where you are?"
Ten and Jerry nodded.
Chloe continued to walk towards what seemed like an exit to the room but it was just a piece of plastic she weaved to the side, much similar to how one opens their curtains.
As soon as she did that a ferocious smell overwhelmed both Jerry and Ten.
Infront of them were a number of people coughing and crying. They all wore brown and torn up clothing. Some were eating rotten pieces of fruit. Beyond them were mountains and mountains of Trash. Everything that the eye could see was just thrown away garbage. In the distance a green smoke could be seen.
"This place, is the shame of Krey, welcome to the Trash Can!"
[Present Time]
[Somewhere in Krey's center]
Trey and Vivi had reached the place where the Golden Blade tournament was about to take place, but there was trouble.
"You can't enter without a ticket! Rules are rules. I'm sorry Priestess I can't make an exception even if it's you."
The man was incharge of the registration for the tournament. He had yellow hair and wore a white robe with black stripes. Even his cloak couldn't hide his chubby appearance. He had a pen and had mountains of papers infront of him.
"If you don't have anything I'm afraid you should leave"
Trey and Vivi were holding up the line and a lot of people were not happy.
"Get out of the line!" Some shouted.
The line was insanely long, a lot of people were excited to join this year's tournament.
Trey couldn't hide his frustration but his mind went back to what Edward said. He said something about being champion of the tournament years ago. Was he planning to enter again this year?
Trey searched himself and luckily he escaped with a ticket, it had the number '50' written on its golden paper.
"How silly of me, I almost forgot I had this all along" Trey's awkward smile and poor acting performance weren't convincing. But he had the ticket, so the man just shook his head and accepted the ticket.
"You can proceed to go to the waiting area and do your preparations before the tournament starts"
Trey turned to Vivi as they both exited the line to allow it to continue.
"Give me that bottle that restores mana, I'm winning that blade?"
Vivi reluctantly handed it over, "you're still injured you know?"
"It's fine, I just need a little mana to wipe out the competition"
He drank the bottle after that confident statement.
He wiped the dripping liquid off his lips and he gave, Vivi the empty bottle. "Look after that girl, don't stay far from the crowd, you need to be where I can see you. You could be attacked"
"I'm not some weak little girl you know?"
She watched as Trey approached the waiting room, it was a building behind the registration gate.
As he walked Tey heard something shocking being whispered in the hallways to the waiting room.
"Did you hear what the announcer said, Mei Yuri. One of the '10' Blades will be participating in the tournament. "
Trey couldn't believe his ears, he went to confront the duo that were whispering to themselves. He grabbed one of them and pinned them to the wall.
"Did you Just say '10' blades?"
The man responded, clearly shaken by Trey's violent actions.
"Yea man, that's what the announcer said. One of the 10 blades will be participating in this year's tournament. "
Suddenly, the idea of winning.
Wasn't so certain.
