Even with Vepar being sealed, since Vepar's ego was still technically part of Jason's soul, he could still transform his body into a gaseous state. But without Vepar's aid, he wasn't adept enough to use it arbitrarily in battle. The exchange between Vepar and Jason happened in Jason's mind, while in reality, only a few fractions of a second passed by.
As Jason snapped back to reality, the glowing figure of a tremendous werewolf came into sight. Glistening, Lycaon's wounds were completely healed and he was much more powerful than before. Howling, a abnormal of energy swirled around Lycaon, a beam of moonlight shot out from his throat, aiming straight at the castle's ceiling. Rubble and dust fell from the air, a hole being straight up torn open.
The pale moonlight lit up the room, Lycaon bathing in the silver light. Instantly, Lycaon's strength tripled, a single swipe would definitely break Jason's bones. "Call the ent over," Jason said, as he faced the glowing werewolf. Jason's whole body lit up, ghastly flames flickered under the ethereal moonlight. "Inferno," Jason casted the strongest fire spell he knew. Jason's skeletal body began to hum as cracks ran across the surface of his bones, the spell proved to be to powerful for the fragile body to contain. The red chains that managed to seal Jason's body together began to shatter, the spell exceeded its limits. Fiery, transparent fiends that stood around four feet tall appeared due to Jason's spell, screeching as they bombarded Lycaon with fireballs. Jason's body trembled, and after a loud snapping sound, his body disintegrated into a pile of dust.
Lycaon was still fighting the flaming fiends who circled above his head, showering him with demonic flames. As expected from a spell of this caliber, the silver pelt of Lycaon was on fire, with blood dripping from his mouth. Lycaon swatted at the airborne fiends like they were pestering flies, but his claws passed through the constructions of pure flames. "I HAD ENOUGH!" Lycaon roared, annoyed by the tenacity of the pests. Mana began to swirl around Lycaon's snout once more, as the same silver energy began to conjure. Like a spotlight shining from his jaws, the beam of moonlight swept across the flying fiends, reducing them to nothingness. More dust and debris fell from the ceilings as Lycaon's rampage was tearing down the castle.
While the all that was happening, Jason's soul quickly flew towards Zahra, who was hiding in the corner of the room, away from the heat of the battle. "Lend me your body," Jason said, floating around Zahra. "As you wish," Zahra said, shivering as she had never seen a battle even close to this caliber. Pulling out Zahra's soul, Jason temporarily stored her inside his ring, where she should be safe even if anything happened to Jason. Possessing Zahra's body, Jason grinned. Zahra was really a talented individual, he could feel the mana around him easily, which allowed him to conjure up spells much easier. And unlike his previous vessel which could only cast fire type spells, Zahra had decent affinity for all types of magic, her affinity for plant magic being the best of them all.
The soul acted as an engine for the body, so no matter how powerful Jason's soul was, he needed a vessel that could bear the output of his abnormally powerful soul. Possessing the demon's skeleton was like placing a rocket's engine on a bicycle, which didn't really worked out in the end, as he clearly demonstrated when he casted the previous spells. If he got to cast Inferno with all his might, perhaps Lycaon would've already been reduced to ashes. Now, he felt like a jet engine strapped onto a motorcycle, although it was definitely far from a perfect fit, it was much better than before. As Jason's soul began to pump out a tenth of his true power, tears began to open on Zahra's tender skin, blood dripping out. "Seal," Jason quickly sealed most of his powers, before Zahra's body was ripped to shreds by the rampant energy his soul was outputting.
Lycaon locked eyes with Zahra, and he instantly felt the anomaly. "You thought you could hide in the girl's body?" Lycaon laughed, as he ran at Jason on all fours, claws fully extended. "Watch and learn," Jason telepathically told Zahra, thinking that this was a perfect opportunity for Zahra to know the full extent of her body. Feeling the mana coursing through his veins, Jason grinned.

"Yggdrasil," he casted, half of his mana instantly drained from his body, "Zahra's" face turning pale white. The original Jason would've never casted this spell successfully, but thanks to the almost perfect affinity that most satyresses had with plant magic, he managed to succeed. A six foot tree appeared in front of Jason, a golden glow shrouded Jason. Lycaon, not recognizing the spell, slashed down with his claws. His claws came into contact with the glistening barrier, sparks flew everywhere as the dreadful claws skid down the barrier. The glowed dimmed down slightly, indicating that Lycaon's attack wasn't in vain. But to his surprise, the barrier suddenly glowed, as a pulse of energy was released from the tree. Some leaves from the tree fell down, as they condensed and formed five slashes of compressed air, shooting towards Lycaon. Before Lycaon could react, his chest was ripped open by the attacks, five claw marks gashed his torso.
Yggdrasil really was one of the strongest defense spell mankind ever created, forming a tree that could reflect all kinds of attacks before its energy ran out, indicated by the tree's leaves. Before the glistening barrier subsides, the people shrouded in its canopy were basically invincible. The nasty gashes on his chest began to heal at visible speeds, the gushing blood stopped almost instantly. Lycaon had enough of Jason's antics, conjuring up the moonlight beam once again. Focusing on one point, a hyper-focused beam of moonlight blasted the barrier, the ground trembling and cracking as the ripples from the impact spread. The tree instantly began to wilt, leaves began to fall like snow, the barrier waning and flickering. Although the situation looked grim for Jason, Lycaon was definitely not in good condition either. Moonlight beam wasn't something that Lycaon could cast arbitrary, the rampant energy damaged his innards every single time. Most of his pelt was still charred, the blisters that formed from the demonic flames have yet to heal. And the dizziness that assaulted him from time to time also impacted his abilities, probably due to the loss of blood. However, unlike Jason who was going to run out of mana quickly, Lycaon basically had infinite energy since the moonlight powered him. Lycaon braced himself for impact, shielding his vitals as Yggdrasil reflected his attack, the attack straight up evaporated his skin, revealing the muscles and sinews under the thick fur. Thanks to a werewolf's crazy durability, Lycaon tanked the attack much better than Jason anticipated. "This shall be the fall of the Curse reaper," Lycaon cackled, smashing the already withering Yggdrasil with a powerful punch. Jason remained calm, his brain began to scower for ideas. Realizing his only option was to fight him, Jason grinned, its really been a while since he needed to rely on skills instead of just blasting his opponents into oblivion. Lycaon's ghastly claws shot towards Jason, aiming to decapitate him with a single strike. The power and speed was so incredible that the attack even compressed the air, resulting in wind blades that could slice to stone.
With a wave of his hands, a wall of mud appeared between them. Although Lycaon's attack could definitely shatter a wall of metal, due to the physical properties of mud, Lycaon's attack lost nearly most of its power. The wind blades simply sunk into viscous mud, disappearing. Lycaon's paws slammed into mud, but it was just like punching water, the resistance was simply to much for the attack to retain any strength. "Quicksand," Jason casted, the ground beneath Lycaon instantly became fluid. If Lycaon's hand was not caught in the viscous mud, he would have easily escaped the spell. However, he had to pull his hand out before he could even move, resulting in him sinking about a foot deep into the ground.
Deactivating the spell, the ground instantly became solid again, which couldn't really trap Lycaon since he could simply just shatter the earth. But before Lycaon could exert his powers, a red array appeared around him. "Damn you!" Lycaon cursed, as he felt the ground became more than ten times more robust than before. Jason had cast Sealing magic on the whole floor, forcefully locking every grain of gravel and dirt in place. Lycaon could still break out, but it required much more effort. "Acid Rain," Jason casted, as drops of a extremely corrosive acid began to pour down from on top of Lycaon. White smoke rose as the acid came into contact with Lycaon, sizzling as the acid ate away Lycaon's tissue. Although Lycaon's regenerative abilities went into overdrive, it couldn't keep up with the damage that the acid was doing to him. "DIE!" Lycaon roared, forcefully conjuring another beam of moonlight, his throat tear a little and half of his snout evaporated since the wounds haven't healed yet from his last moonlight beam. Looking at the glowing beam that was definitely going to disintegrate Zahra's body, Jason gritted his teeth.
