Hunger, plagued Jason for so long, his stomach growled loudly, protesting in hunger. After sealing most of his power, he could only rely on the body's own sense to perceive his surroundings. His brain was still developing, needing sleep after a couple of seconds if he tried to process his thoughts. His days constitutes of two things only, sleeping and eating. He often uncontrollably cried out in hunger, which happened almost daily. Zahra was doing much better, since her soul wasn't even close to Jason's. After perhaps three months or so, she began to walk, while her twin brother was still snoozing away in the cradle.
While the two were trying their best to keep themselves alive, Ela was struggling to make ends meet. Her children were like bottomless pits, craving for food. But ever since her husband died a few months ago due to a couple roaming wargs, she found that it was hard for her to keep providing enough food for the two. At first, the two cows she kept provided enough food for the two, but after a month, the milk that the cows provided were barely enough to feed Jason, not mention Zahra. Looking at the two toddlers, Ela sighed heavily, she didn't even know why she named them Jason and Zahra, these two names suddenly appeared in her head one night in her dreams.
Luckily, Zahra was a very lovely girl, she would rather starve to allow her brother to have enough food. More months passed by, and with selling a lot of her own belongings, Ela managed to feed her two children. Fortunately, Zahra was a bright and smart girl, being able to talk at six months old, she expressed intelligence that surpassed children even double her age. One night, while Ela was patting Zahra on the head, she noticed two tiny horns of sheep growing beneath Zahra's hair. As if feeling her fear and panic, Zahra began to wail, which quickly calmed Ela down. God had already presented a miracle by allowing her two children to live, a couple of abnormalities although rare, wasn't something that hasn't happened before.
These kids were sometimes considered awakened, since they sometimes contained the bloodline of magical deities, allowing them to excel in places where normal humans lacked. Once, there was a child in their village who awakened the bloodline of a elf, his archery became so accurate that he could hit a single coin several hundred feet away. Thinking that Zahra probably awakened some sort of ancient bloodline, Ela was secretly pleased. Jason also showed signs of awakening, his canine teeth were abnormally sharp and long, and small horns also poked out from his head. However, Ela was quite concerned about Jason's health since he almost remained the same size since he was born.
Completely unaware of what was happening around him, two years passed by like a breeze. Jason finally was able to be awake for about two hours without falling asleep. Opening his eyes, he crawled out of the ramshackle cradle. Since he was placed on a bed, he fell to the ground with a thump, which quickly alerted Zahra and Ela. "Jason!" Ela exclaimed, rushing over to check on his wellbeing. Luckily, with two years of slowly enhancing his body, even if the whole house came crashing down, he will still remained unscathed. Jason just stared at Ela blankly, since he didn't understand the words that were coming out of her mouth. Struggling to get up, Jason began to crawl around, examing his surroundings. Seeing that Jason was beginning to move around, a burden was taken of her heart.
She allowed Jason to crawl around in the small hut, which he soon became so tired that he fell asleep on the floor. Zahra followed Jason, carefully taking care of him, which Ela thought was super sweet. Somehow, she felt like even if she sold all her belongings she'll be happy with life if her two children were besides her. Meanwhile, Jason was becoming more and more conscious of his surroundings, slowly being able to talk. Another two years passed, and as Jason and Zahra's birthday came, they could feel their power surging through their bodies. However, there were some miscalculations, Jason thought that he could gain back a eighteenth of his power when he turned four, but since he didn't have enough nutrition, his body only allowed a hundredth of his power without damaging himself permanently. Zahra didn't have this problem however, since her soul was much weaker than Jason's.

Now being to walk around, Jason needed to come up with a better plan, or else they would die of hunger before he could even unleash a percent of his power. He was lost in his thoughts until Ela's sound interrupted him. "Stay indoors, goblins and other monsters were seen outside the village," Ela told Zahra, with concern in her voice. "Of course," Zahra replied, humming as she helped Ela clean the house. "That's it!" a plan formed in his mind, if Ela couldn't provide enough food for them, he'll just have to hunt them himself. A couple of goblins were no match for Zahra, they would only have to watch out for wargs, which were still probably too much for the two to handle.
At night, while Ela was fast asleep, Jason woke Zahra up. "What's wrong?" Zahra whispered, trying not to wake Ela up. Gesturing for them to leave the house first, the two slipped out of the wood hut. "Let's go hunt some monsters, I'm starving," Jason babbled, his body still not developed enough to talk clearly. "There are goblins inside the woods, Ela told us to stay indoors!" Zahra exclaimed, suppressing her voice in case Ela was not fully asleep. "Have you forgotten who I am?" Jason said, grinning as he two canine teeth gleamed under the moonlight. Looking at the kid with silver hair and glowing red eyes, it was quite hard for Zahra to associate him with the demonic god that managed to slaughter the Lord of the Wolves. "Come on, I need your help," Jason said, since he wasn't really that sure about his current prowess.
Sighing, Zahra agreed to venture into the woods. The current Zahra was on par with a grown adult, probably stronger since she could wield simple magic, while Jason's current strength still needed further evaluation. The woods were dark, but that wasn't really a problem for Jason and Zahra since their perception abilities were so powerful. With Jason's tiny steps, it took them about an hour to reach goblin territory, which could be easily recognized by the revolting scent of ammonia in the air. The cackles of the goblins could be heard, echoing through the woods. "Five, I'll take two while you deal with the other three," Jason said, picking up the soul vibrations of five goblins.
Sure enough, the bushes and trees around them rattled, five goblins emerged. Carrying clubs and wearing some pieces of leather, the goblins giggled as they surrounded the two. "Poor kids, lost?" one of the goblins screeched in a barely comprehensible voice. "Yes, can you show us the way back?" Jason asked, acting just like a lost child. Without replying, the goblins attacked, deciding to get rid of the boy first since they had other plans for the cute girl. Wrong choice, red chains shot out of Jason, the goblins instantly became sluggish. Although Jason had crazy mana regeneration due to his soul, the mana reserves currently couldn't supply Sealing magic for too long. Luckily, goblins weren't exactly well known for their prowess, so sealing them temporarily wasn't too hard.
Zahra's eyes glowed green, several blades of grass began to tighten around the immobile goblins, pulling them to the ground. As Zahra roared, the green glow she emitted became brighter than ever, the grass began to grow like crazy, the goblins were trapped in a coffin of death. Even when Jason unsealed the goblins, they still struggled to get out of the entrapments, tugging and wiggling. "Perish, your ignorance has brought you death," Jason said, the earth around him began to tremble, forming a large brick. The brick of sandstone, which probably weighed around a hundred pounds, was more than enough to crush the little critter's head.
Picking up the sandstone, Jason dropped it directly on top of one of the green cocoons that each contained a trembling goblin. The sandstone brick crumbled back into sand once it smashed the first goblin's head, red blood seeping out, dying the grass red. Jason didn't want to end them like this, but he didn't have enough mana to do otherwise, since conjuring a brick of sand was the most cost-effective way he could kill them. He could've also suffocated them with water, but that was too much suffering for Jason's liking. Conjuring a second brick, he smashed the second goblin, its scream of agony echoing through the night. Zahra looked away, still quite not used to all the blood even if she had already went through some pretty crazy battles.
"Now for the third one," Jason said, conjuring a brick. However, a loud howl interrupted his butchering of the goblins. Out came a large white wolf, circling the two toddlers, clearly attracted by the scent of blood. "Now this is not ideal," Jason said, kind of regretting his overconfidence of his abilities. How could two toddlers take on a wolf?
