After a couple of last whimpers, there were no more wargs still breathing. Wiping away some tears that have formed in her eyes, Zahra took a deep breath. From now on the journey was about Jason's revenge, she had to kill more souls in order for her master to become strong enough to best Savitr, which definitely wasn't a easy task.
Jason trembled in delight as the souls of the dead wargs slowly floated towards him, attracted by the ring on his finger. "MORE, WE NEED MORE," the deep voice in his head growled, craving for more souls. Affected by the malevolent voice in his mind, a burning sensation stirred up his heart, yearning for massacre. "Onwards!" he shouted, a sliver of insanity dwelled in his eyes. The castle was just in arms reach, Jason ordering the ent to bust through the wooden doors. Bang! The wooden door was clearly not enchanted or enhanced in any manner, since it easily snapped in half.
A dozen kobolds, dogmen with staffs that wield mediocre magic, rushed out, forming a crescent formation in their way. Conjuring spells, each of them unleashed a fireball at the large ent, trying to burn it down before it could cause anymore damage. Jason and Zahra leaped down from the branches since the ent was clearly too large to fit through the gates of the castle. The fireballs flew right past the two, hitting the ent directly. With a large explosion and smoke, the fireballs shook the banyan ent. Several branches coupled with burnt bark fell to the floor, but overall the ent was still in perfect condition.
Waving her bone wand, Zahra conjured a spell. A wave of poison ivy vines shot towards the pack of kobolds, slithering like deadly vipers. Contrary to normal poison ivy, the plants Zahra conjured were much more potent than their natural counterpart. But before they could reach the group of kobolds, a fiery wall appeared, the vines instantly turned into ashes before they could even come close to passing through the flaming wall. Zahra conjured some more mana, preparing to cast a second spell, but Jason stopped her. "I want to stretch my limbs before the epic battle," Jason said, his skeleton clanking as he slowly walked fowards.
Suppressing his aura, the kobolds easily misjudged his strength. They didn't even want to cast fireball, they simply walked fowards with their staffs. It wasn't entirely their fault, since skeletal beings were usually the weakest, exceptions being liches and skeletal dragons. But Jason clearly wasn't a lich nor skeletal dragon, liches would definitely have a aura of death lingering around them and Jason obviously wasn't a dragon. Although a demon skeleton was a rare sight, and the silver tint on its left arm was also quite odd, the kobolds simply disregarded the abnormalities. The first kobold in the front swung its staff at Jason, picture the next scene where the brittle skeleton explodes into a thousand pieces. But when the wooden staff came into contact with the skeleton's bone, the vibrations made the kobold's hand go numb. Thinking that it was simply because it didn't attack hard enough, the kobold swung again. But before the staff could hit Jason, the flames that covered his skeleton flared up, the intense heat instantly causing the kobold's skin to blister, it's pelt catching on fire.
As Jason unleashed his aura, the kobolds knew that they were in deep trouble. Their knees almost buckled with half of them already shivering from the sheer pressure that Jason was exerting. Jason's eerie eyes glowed bright red, as the kobolds began to light up one after another, covered in demonic flames that tormented both their body and soul. "PERISH," the voice in his head became so loud that it manifested into reality, the demonic flames on their bodies turned blue, instantly turning the kobolds into ash. With a wave of his hands, Jason collected the spoils of the battle, twelve kobold souls that each contained around half the energy a demon soul had, which was quite decent for such weak beings.
What the kobolds were guarding was a stone corridor, leading to the "Lord of the Wolves" lair, which Jason thought was a funny name. "This way, he should be right ahead," Jason said, walking nonchalantly towards dark and gloomy hallway. The hallway was damp and reeked of the smell of wolf urine, which Zahra found to be simultaneously revolting and frightening.

At the end of the corridor was a rustic looking oak door, with weird lines engraved on the surface. Being the experience mage he is, Jason easily identified the magic circles that enchanted and enhanced the door. Most mages would need two to three hours trying to break the array, but an experienced mage could decode it in about ten minutes. But Jason wasn't simply just an experienced mage, he was the wielder of Sealing magic. With a wave of his hands, a red array overwritten the original engravings on the door, all the defense mechanisms were rendered useless. Knocking on the door just to mock the people behind it, Jason raised his voice, "I'm coming in." Before he straight up demolished the door with a single punch, although he could've just opened it like a normal person.
Zahra looked around the dark and damp room, it was quite spacious, but there was no light. "Illuminate," Zahra casted, several glowing orbs scattered across the room, lighting everything up as bright as day. In the corner of the room, Zahra was shocked to see three frail looking men that seemed to be malnutritioned, their ribs were visible and they all had sucken eyes. Groaning and mumbling words Zahra couldn't comprehend, they were clearly not in good shape. Weirdly enough, they all had a lingering stench of wolves, which Zahra thought was some sort of marking that perhaps the wargs did on their prey. She was going to go over and help them up, to see what she could do to help. Although she was now the subordinate of a scary flaming skeleton, her kind heart was still full of empathy, especially to those who also suffered under the cruelty of the wargs.
"I wouldn't get so close if I was you," Jason said, before Zahra could get any closer. "Quit the execrable acting," Jason said out loud for the men to hear. Hearing that, Zahra instantly backed up a couple of steps, just in time to dodge a deadly attack. Claw marks dug deep into the ground where Zahra originally stood. As Zahra looked up, she was horrified to see that the three men that were near death were nowhere to be seen. Instead, there were three seven feet werewolves with bloodlust in their eyes, drool dripping down from their elongated snouts. Their teeth were as large as dinner knives, their claws were like daggers that could easily rip her in half. What was different were the tattoos that covered their arms that were emitting a green glow. The timid Zahra instantly backed up, hiding behind Jason.
"This is a bad habit," Jason said, shaking his head at the shivering Zahra that was cowering behind his back. Jason used to be as weak or even possibly weaker than Zahra, but he faced every monster with courage and wit, eventually becoming a powerful mage. With Zahra's timid nature, it'll be hard for her to keep calm and collected under intense pressure. "Wolfsbane also weakens werewolves quite a lot," Jason whispered softly, wanting to comfort Zahra. "What am I doing," Zahra thought, she was supposed to sacrifice her life for Jason to achieve revenge, to stand against one of the most powerful figures that walked the earth, but now she was cowering behind him because of three mere werewolves? Mustering up her courage and strength, Zahra walked in front of Jason.
"I'll deal with them," she said, although her voice was still shaky, it was filled with determination. Her bone wand began to vibrate, as a green glow lit up the room. The werewolves looked at Zahra, barely containing their laughter. Satyresses were one of their primary prey, but now one satyress that was clearly not even fully grown wanted to take on werewolves? Not to mention that there were three werewolves that weren't normal lycanthropes, they were enhanced by the weird magic their lord wielded. Their strength were three fold of a normal werewolf, so it was impossible for Zahra to beat them.
"Although I am sincerely impressed by your determination, you are still acting foolishly. No matter what you do there is no way you could beat three werewolves that were enhanced by that bastard," Jason said, as red chains shot towards the three werewolves. Although they tried their best to dodge the incoming chains, it was impossible. The chains wrapped around the three, the tattoos that were glowing on their forearms dimmed down, indicating the spells that were enhancing their strength were sealed. "I'll leave one to you, the other two are mine. I need some exercise before the final battle," Jason said, stretching the muscles he didn't have. "Two of us will be left standing, and it's definitely not you ugly bastards," Jason said with a sly grin.
