“Welcome to The Wondering. How can I help you this evening?” asked a pale girl with icy blue eyes and long black hair in pigtails. She was standing behind a counter desk, staring uninterestedly at Sang in what looked to be an all-black school uniform. Sang took out an all-black card from his coat pocket before handing it to the girl, saying, “I’ll have a room for the night.” The girl took the card and scanned it before handing him a white card, saying, “Your room will be down the hall to the left, room 26, and I hope you enjoy your stay in Sandyville.” As Dante walked with Sang to their room, he couldn’t help but feel he was being watched. As Dante looked back, his eyes met with the strange girl’s, and all he could see in them in that instance was hunger.
The room had a bedroom, a kitchen, and a restroom. It also had an extremely large bed with a huge television on the wall. Sang didn’t waste any time and undressed before taking a shower. As he came out, his eyes landed on Dante, who was lazing on the floor, and picked him up before heading back into the restroom. Dante, who was too shocked, just let Sang toss him in the bath. As Dante was submerged in water, he found it odd he could breathe. Then it clicked with him. He was an axolotl for real, and breathing underwater was one of his perks. After Sang scrubbed Dante’s skin raw and dried him off, he finally laid in bed before turning off the lights. Sang didn’t even bother turning on the television but just fell asleep almost instantly. Dante followed his example not too long afterward. It wasn’t long before some odd presence startled him awake, and groggily opening his eyes, what Dante saw spooked him to his core. Right in front of him stood the pigtail girl, and she was bent over on the bed, drinking from Sang’s neck like some vampire. Thinking it was just a nightmare, Dante simply closed his eyes again, and when he opened them, the girl was gone.

Dante woke to a weirdly humming Sang getting dressed. He seemed to be absolutely fine, but as Dante did a double take, there were obviously two holes in Sang’s neck. Sang then took out his plasma gun and took it apart before cleaning it with his handkerchief and putting it back together again. He even bent down and patted Dante’s head, which had him baffled, wondering if vampire bites had mind-altering effects. As they left their room, the same creepy, obviously vampire girl was waiting for them behind the counter desk. Her eyes were hyper-focused on the two holes in Sang’s neck as he handed her his room card. After Sang signed the checkout form, the girl asked in an oddly normal voice, “Did you enjoy your night’s rest here, Mr. Royo?” Sang chuckled before saying, “Yeah, I’ve never slept any better. It’s as if all my stress just got drained away.” That comment made the creepy girl smile, which made Dante feel goosebumps all over his body. Lucky for him, Sang wasted no time as they made their exit out the front door.
