Heading westward from Glaxya Nation, Captain Galiwae was sitting in his office drinking expensive wine on the Dread Knot when there was a knock on his door. He put his wine glass down before saying, “You may enter.” It was his steward, Buck Noname. He looked very serious before he said, “We got a red alert from the security system from Sanyville’s Inunu Co. I believe a witch is behind it and decided to report it to you, sir.” Captain Galiwae picked up his wine glass and drank it empty before standing up. He then put his helmet back on before saying, “Let’s hunt us a witch then.”
As Sang, Dante, Rose, and Joyce made their way outside of Inunu Co., they found themselves surrounded by guards. The guard sheriff walked up, wearing his silver battle armor with the guard shield symbol on it, before stopping in front of Sang. He then summoned a wraith spirit before asking, “Who committed a crime here?” The wraith was a black, sickly fog of bones that drifted towards Sang before cycling through them all and saying, “No sins have been committed.” It then vanished out of existence. The guard sheriff then asked Sang what happened and why they were alarmed about a crime happening there. Sang just told him one of the Inunu used a forbidden move and blew up on itself.
After Rose showed her family crest, all the guards bowed before leaving. Sang shook his head in disappointment at how easily common folks bend the knee to power. Sang looked at his three-foot Inunu before smirking. They then walked towards the south gate exit to the Rift of the Ooze. Oozes were extra-dimensional entities with highly acidic properties. It took them 10 minutes to finally reach the rift entrance, where they had to check out with a guard. Only people with an adventurer’s ID could enter, so Sang, Rose, and Joyce all showed the guard their IDs and signed the check-out slip. Dante, who was still preoccupied with his translucent wings, unconsciously followed as they left Sandyville and entered the Ooze Rift.

Outside the town gates was a barren wasteland. From dried-up husks of trees to tons of sand, there were no signs of life for miles. In the distance, a pulsating black hole in space loomed, with gelatinous ooze wobbling around it. Sang looked at Rose before saying, “You should feel at home. Your mind must be at ease seeing other leeches of your kind.” Rose blushed angrily before walking up to Sang and slapping him. She then pointed at the ooze and summoned her unicorn before saying, “Show no mercy, Lance, and kill as many as you can.” Her unicorn neighed and stormed off with its head lowered. They watched as it impaled twenty of the oozes before getting surrounded by them. Judging by the six-foot-tall unicorn, the oozes were only a couple of feet smaller, around four feet. The unicorn tried its best to stomp them into oblivion, but the sheer numbers of the ooze blanketed it before it got dissolved and poofed out of existence.
Sang took out his gun before pointing towards the oozes and saying, “Morning, kill.” Dante looked at Sang like he was crazy, but the gun Sang was holding made him rethink disobeying, so he dashed off, attacking an ooze by ripping it in half. To Dante, they tasted like sour honey, which made him see things. Dante knew the sky wasn’t bleeding and that all the slimes weren’t drinking the sky dry. Dante’s rationality left him as all he wanted to do was save the sky so it wouldn’t fall into space. From plasma charge to assault, his limbs getting dissolved and recovering almost instantly, Dante killed around five hundred of them. Sang just looked stunned as his Inunu rampaged across the barren fields and devoured every slime. He followed what seemed to be two hours of nonstop violence, leveling up in the process. It wasn’t until Morning got up to the rift that Sang felt worried, but the most bizarre thing happened: Morning began to eat the portal, and to everyone’s horror, he ate it.
